Each rotor is analyzed for it s specific application, vane structure, and construction to determine the optimum cross drill pattern. Drill patterns are designed on a CAD system to insure all design criteria are met and the programmed patterns are run on several CNC machines. Each hole is radiused with POWER STOP s own designed tooling. Radiusing unlike chamfering, produces a smooth transition at the edge of the hole diameter, which reduces stress risers, and reduces the occurrence of fractures. 16 Tru-Time Adjustable Cam Gears The AEM Tru-Time billet aluminum adjustable cam Gears are CNC machined from billet aluminum and then laser etched with cam timing marks for adjustment up to +/- 20 at the crankshaft. This is the only cam gear to offer degree markings for cam timing and no gear offers as much adjustability. The cam timing changes are done quickly and accurately by using the vernier scale on the gear hub. The marks are placed toward the outer edge of the hub for better accuracy and ease of adjustment instead not of toward the inner edge of the hub where the lines converge and make reading them difficult. The inner hub is color anodized for lasting beauty and corrosion resistance and the outer gear sector is hard anodized for wear resistance. The machining tolerances used in the manufacture of these gears is +/ (two ten thousandths of an inch). This valve installs on the intake pipe along the same axis as the throttle body and eliminates any chance of water ingestion should the filter element become wet from rain, hail, sleet, snow, flood or any other scenario where the filter elements could encounter or become completely submerged in water. 18 Tru-Power Under drive Pulleys AEM is proud to introduce the Tru-Power Pulley Kits. These kits are designed to replace the pulleys on both the alternator and power steering pump. AEM has chosen to Under drive the accessories via their pulleys as opposed to the crankshaft pulley because the vibration dampener incorporated into the crankshaft pulley is critical to engine life. The Tru-Power pulleys are CNC machined from billet 6061 T-6 aluminum and anodized in red, blue, or clear. The kits come complete with pulley(s) and belt(s) and a full set of instructions.
