4 Our products Disconnectors Disconnectors We provide disconnectors for both indoor and outdoor use. All disconnectors can be delivered with manual or motor drives. In order to keep workload at a minimum in course of replacement projects in existing substations, SERW can supply switches with exactly the connection points of the installed devices. All our disconnectors can also be equipped with earthing switches. SERW manufactures disconnectors for the voltage level up to 38,5kV with rated currents up to 6.300A and rated shorttime currents up to 80kA. Higher rated currents after consultation. 5 Circuit breakers Circuit breakers Vacuum circuit breakers are delivered for outdoor as well as indoor applications. The quenching of the arc takes place in the maintenance free vacuum chamber. All circuit breakers are equipped with a spring mechanism. Circuit breakers can not only switch operating currents and low overload currents, but also in case of network failures high overload currents and short-circuit currents. Furthermore they can hold the residual currents within a given period of time and then switch off safely. SERW circuit breakers are produced both in single-, two- and three-pole design. SERW circuit breakers have been designed with the primary aim of increasing the plant efficiency. The areas of application range from energy distribution, industry to railway. SERW manufactures circuit breakers for voltages up to 38,5kV, with rated current up to 1.250A and short-circuit power up to 25kA.
