1 MANUFACTURERS DMV TEMPORARY BRANCH LICENSES Please fill out the CERTIFICATE OF PROPOSED FRANCHISE OL-124 along with LETTER OF AUTHORIZATION OL-73C following this page for each dealer who will sell your units at the show. SEND THE COMPLETED OL-124 & OL-73C FORM TO YOUR DEALERS. The Dealers need to submit their Temporary Branch Application OL-73A along with LETTER OF AUTHORIZATION OL-73C AND THE CERTIFICATE OF PROPOSED FRANCHISE OL-124 plus their Application fee to the DMV. Without it, they cannot apply for a Temporary License. GUIDELINES TO FILLING OUT THE OL-124 FORM 1) Please check the first box on the form which says Notice to the new Motor Vehicle Board not required under Section 3062 or ) Make of Vehicle(s).Be very specific in listing the line/make/brand name of the units the dealer will handle at the show. 3) Under Date the New Motor Vehicle Board and put N/A 4) Under Proposed Franchisee Name. You must list the dealership s name EXACTLY as it appears on the dealer s license. If you don t know, please contact the dealer for the information. RVIA recommends that Manufacturers specify with as much precision as possible which RV s a particular dealer is authorized to sell. For example, a manufacturer should list the vehicles a dealer is authorized to sell by name and specify whether the line make granted to a particular dealer includes only motorized or non-motorized products; which RV product types are included in the line make.
2 Select from among the following: Type A, B, or C Motorhomes, Travel Trailers, Fifthwheel trailers, Folding camping trailers; whether a particular dealer s line make includes gas and/or diesel powered motor homes, light, ultra light, mid-line, or high-line trailers, etc. Think about how your company divides its products amongst dealers in the same marketplace and make sure the product descriptions reflect that division. Accurate and precise descriptions will be of value should challenges over marketing rights develop. 3 DMV TEMPORARY BRANCH LICENSES When you apply for your Temporary Branch License you are required by DMV to submit the following to: Inspector LaNice Burgess, DMV, OL Inspections Office, 1365 N. Grand Ave, Suite 102, Covina, CA Phone 626/ OL-124, Certificate of Proposed Franchise and OL-73C, Letter of Authorization. These forms were sent to your Manufacturer in their service kit. Contact the Manufacturer for a copy of the completed forms. You will need both of these to apply for you temporary branch license. OL-73A, Application for Temporary Branch this form is in your service kit. Fill out and enclose a check for $70.00 Application fee. Copy of the DMV letter signed by Gail Fong in your service kit. You will need to submit this. In order to sell new motor homes and recreation trailers, these completed forms show DMV that the Dealer the Manufacturer designated on them is authorized to sell a line/make at a particular location. The following are required OL-124, OL-73A, OL-73C, Letter from DMV signed by Gail Fong and a check for $70.00 for the permit. DMV will approve the Temporary Branch license when all the forms are turned in and the check is received.
4 DMV TEMPORARY BRANCH LICENSES Applications must be received at DMV - 10 business days prior to first opening day of the show. Applications submitted less than 10 business days will not be accepted. Opening day of the show is October 10, Submit completed application/fees to: Inspector Lanice Burgess, Carlos Gonzalez and Annette Medrano can be reached at - DMV, OL Inspections Office, 1365 N. Grand Avenue, Suite 102, Covina, CA Ph 626/ Walk-In office hours are Monday and Thursday from 9:00am 12:00 noon, Tuesday and Friday from 1:00pm 4:00pm SIGN REQUIREMENTS The Sign must be two (2) square feet with lettering sufficient to be read from a distance of fifty (50) feet. The Sign is required to identify the licensed name of the dealer and licensed address.
