The Jungheinrich reach trucks, models ETV C16/C20 reduce costly drive wheel spinning when operating outside with their superelastic tyres and high ground clearance. Especially when lorry loading and unloading, as well as operating on uneven floors. The wide application options of the ETV C16/C20 not only save time and money during operation but also can reduce truck numbers dramatically. Space gained through reach mast technology This is the successful formula for Jungheinrich reach trucks. After the load is picked up with the forward reach, the mast together with the load is retracted between the front axle. The truck length shortens as it pulls its load back into the truck contours for safe transporting and thus requires narrower aisle widths between the racking. The narrower the aisles the more space is available for racking on the same floor area. Tried and tested 3-phase AC technology 3-phase AC current is a type of alternating current from the regular mains supply a million times tried and tested in all industry sectors. 3-phase AC motors are advantageous due to a reduced number of components and wearing parts. They therefore are considerably more productive, reliable and cost-effective. The problem until the beginning of the 90 s was that batteries for electric trucks only supplied direct current. Jungheinrich prepared electric trucks ready for 3-phase AC current With high-capacity frequency converters, Jungheinrich was able to cost-effectively convert direct current into alternating current at the beginning of the 90 s and thus utilise the advantages of 3-phase AC current in electric trucks. The omission of collector and carbon brushes, the increase in efficiency and the improvement of truck performance for reach trucks maximises the application options with considerably reduced operating costs. Jungheinrich trucks in all categories are now equipped with 3-phase AC motors. 3-phase AC advantage 1: More productivity and more torque High torque already at lower revs, no torque gaps and no speed drops even during direction changes giving excellent throughput figures. Your benefit is considerably faster goods throughput compared with direct current. 3-phase AC advantage 2: High efficiency and energy reclamation Does more productivity also mean more consumption? Not at Jungheinrich! Through high efficiency and regenerative braking during which up to 20 % energy is fed back into the battery, the trucks can achieve up to 2 shifts with one battery charge. Your benefit is that is in many cases there is no need for a large charging area or exchange batteries. Pump motor Steering motor Drive motor 4 3-phase AC advantage 3: Wear-free braking 3-phase AC technology ensures the same high torque during acceleration as during braking. The result is that the truck speed is precisely controlled by the acceleration pedal. Ideal for precise positioning, rapid acceleration and travelling on ramps at constant speed. An additional brake is not required. The maintenancefree electro magnetic brake only serves as a safety brake for dangerous moments. Your benefits: 1. In this regulation, the EU prescribes the total volume of vibrations per day that an operator can be subjected to at his workplace. The responsibility for adhering to this regulation lies solely with the user. Jungheinrich supports its customers with this strongly in mind. And this support is two-fold: 1. With an already vibration-optimised stacker design that guarantees increased productivity without exceeding the required limit even during long operating times. 2. On request, with qualified vibration metering on site carried out by Jungheinrich Service. They meter the application and in case of the level being too high recommend measures that allow the user to further reduce the vibration stress on his operators. Residual running time The residual battery running time display shows the time in hours and minutes when the battery will have to be recharged. The lift function is automatically deactivated when the last bar goes out; the functions travel and mast reach required for battery changing go on working. This significantly reduces the danger of a damaging total discharge. More stability more capacity Strong mast profiles, torsion-resistant cross members and a solid seat in the mast housing with excellent visibility are a clear advantage for robustness and safety. The result: More working cycles per day, higher lift speeds and higher residual capacities. Mast tilt Mast tilt reduces the total length of the truck, both with and without the load. Another advantage is that it compensates for mast deflection when picking up heavy loads. This also makes work in narrow racking aisles easier. The mast tilt position is easily recognised from the operator seat. The mast shows the tilt like a marker. Sideshift The sideshift (+/ 70 mm) ensures quick stacking in and retrieval, especially at high lift heights and in narrow storage locations. Slight operator inaccuracies can be simply adjusted by operating the sideshift. The advantages: Protecting hydraulic cylinders from damage No change in position of mast Lower mast deflection when shifting the forks. Fork positioner (optional) The distance between the forks can be adjusted with the fork positioner. The advantage is that loads of different widths with or without entry pockets can be picked up easily and safely. And all this from the comfort of the operator seat. Limit switch arrangement (optional) for fork protection The limit switch arrangement (ESA) prevents unintentional damage to the truck s forks during lowering, retracting or spreading with the fork positioner and during operation with particularly wide attachments. The forks are automatically stopped at an end position before they collide with the support arms. The stop can only be cancelled by two-handed operation. Clear lift height display On all triple masts, adhesive markers show the stacking in and retrieval height on the racking level. Telescopic forks (optional) Telescopic forks allow quick adjustment of the fork length, e.g. for picking up frequently changing load lengths, onesided lorry loading or double-deep pallet storage in the racking. Safety on corners with Curve Control Curve Control automatically reduces the travel speed on corners dependent on the steering lock. The electric motor brake is activated independently of the selected travel programme and keeps centrifugal forces affecting operator, load and truck at a constant, low level. The advantage is that the danger of tipping is reduced. Weight function at the push of a button This additional safety feature assists the operator in no texceeding the truck s capacity. When picking up the load, the weight (+/ 0 kg) is displayed on the monitor. Energy reclamation during braking Due to a fully electronic control system, up to 20 % energy is fed back into the battery whilst decelerating. When the brake pedal is also applied, the brake system automatically checks whether the same brake effect would be achieved by regenerative braking with energy reclamation and then combines both braking systems. The advantage is maximum saving during braking.
