The module installs in-line between the controller and the tool. It has a short (400mm) whip cable which plugs into the controller, and a 6 pin connector to accept the screwdriver cable. An LED display is provided for set-up and error indication. Status lights show the condition of various I/O functions. The rear-mounted terminal strip is the interface point for external signal input and output communication. Two advanced function models are available. The ECT8-SSOA is for use with 32VDC Screwdrivers and Controllers (BECT620C and BECT620IC), and model ECT8-SSOB is compatible with 40VDC Tools and Controllers (BECT640HL). Basic models ECT8-SSOC (32V) and ECT8-SSOD (40V) are also available for applications requiring basic output signal capability.
