1 PRODUCT DISCONTINUATION NOTICE 3M Battery Charger GVP-112 & PRODUCT REPLACEMENT NOTICE August 30, 2018 Dear Valued Customer: This notice is to inform you of the discontinuation of the 3M Battery Charger GVP-112 used with certain 3M GVP-Series Belt-Mounted Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs). We are experiencing an immediate supply chain disruption for the GVP-112, which is a key component of certain GVP PAPR systems. The GVP-112 charger (Table 1) is no longer available although other GVP system components will continue to remain available. Please read this announcement in its entirety as it identifies new battery upgrade kits and PAPR system options. 3M is committed to helping customers find a solution. Over the past five years we have introduced to our industrial customers a new range of Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) headtops, breathing tubes and motor/blower assemblies under the Respirator Systems brand. We are pleased to offer these systems as a solution for upgrading your overall PAPR program while transitioning away from the GVP PAPR systems. We believe that these newer products provide enhanced performance and comfort. These newer products include the TR-800 PAPR (Table 2). The Powered Air Purifying Respirator TR-800 Motor/Blower, with the 3M Battery Pack TR-830 attached, has been tested and classified for intrinsic safety in certain Hazardous Locations (see list*) by Underwriters Laboratory (UL). In addition, the TR-600 PAPR (Table 3) can be considered for non-intrinsically safe environments. The TR-600 is a compact, lightweight, easy-to-use PAPR for protection against certain particulates, vapors and gases. Certain GVP customers unable to change to a Versaflo Respiratory System and who previously migrated to the GVP-111 battery and GVP-112 charger due to the discontinuation of the 3M Smart Battery Charger BC- 210 can consider the recently commercialized Versaflo battery adapter TR-659. Originally developed for customers in environments like aluminum smelting, the TR-659 battery adapter, when combined with the Standard Battery TR-630 and holster, can serve as a replacement power source in non-is environments for certain GVP PAPR configurations **. Please see table 4 for relevant SKUs.

All that is needed to create a fully functioning system is to add a NIOSH approved M-Series headgear of choice. 3M Belt Mounted Powered Air Purifying Respirator GVP Upgrade Kit GVP-600, 1/case The 3M Belt Mounted Powered Air Purifying Respirator GVP- 600 provides a ready to use kit including everything needed to adapt a GVP PAPR system to use of the TR-630 Battery. The easy to use kit includes a battery adapter (TR-659), power cord (GVP- 610), battery (TR-630), charger (TR-641N) and heavy duty holster (TR-656). Simply thread the heavy duty holster onto an approved belt option and plug the GVP-610 power cord into the GVP PAPR and into the battery adapter and you are ready to go. Battery Adapter TR-659, 1/case The TR-659 is an adapter that allows use of the TR-630 battery with GVP PAPR systems. Heavy Duty Holster TR-656, 1/case The TR-656 is a heavy-duty holster designed for use with the TR- 659 Adapter and TR-630 Battery. The holster is designed to help keep the battery adapter and battery protected and secure during use. Easy Clean Holster TR-657, 1/case The TR-657 is an easy clean holster designed for use with the TR- 659 Adapter and TR-630 Battery.
