The design of the table allows great freedom of movement for the surgeon and assisting personnel, particularly in the vicinity of the patient s head. This makes the table perfect for eye surgery, but it can also be used for ear-nose-neck and dental surgery. For assisting personnel RiEye is easy to manoeuvre thanks to large highly mobile wheels. A centrally controlled brake locks all four wheels at the same time when in operating mode. RiEye is battery powered and can smoothly be adjusted from a sitting to laying position using either a hand or foot control. Customised positions can also easily be programmed. RiEye has a very stable mechanical design and is equipped with ergonomic cushions which ensure that patients feel secure and comfortable. The table can easily be set to the Trendelenburg position. There are a number of accessories such as arm support, cover bow with or without air supply, gates, foot support and extra long leg rest. The foot control for precision adjustments during operations works like a joystick and is available either affixed to the table or to be placed on the floor. For anaesthetists there are arm support and drip holders. There are also special versions of RiEye designed for heavy patients and children.
