1 The Corporation of the Town of Am prior By-law Number A By-Law to impose user fees or charges for services or activities Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Arnprior, has pursuant to Section 391 of the Municipal Act, 2001, the authority to pass by-laws imposing fees or charges; and Whereas these new and/or amended fees were tabled at the February 8, 2016 meeting of Council for public review and comment; and Whereas Council deems it expedient to amend the Fees and Charges By-law for the municipality; Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Arnprior enacts as follows: 1. That the accompanying Schedules A-L, sets out the fees and charges of the Corporation of the Town of Arnprior for the activities and services enumerated therein and forms part of this By-law. 2. That except where otherwise indicated, the fees or charges as indicated in this By-law do not include applicable taxes, which will be added to the fee or charge. 3. That unless otherwise stated any fees or charges set out in the By-law which are not paid when due may be subject to a late payment charge payable at the rate of 1.25% on the first day of default (15% per annum) and every 30 days thereafter on the principal amount owing. 4. That where all or part of a fee imposed by this By-Law related to real property within the Town of Arnprior remains unpaid for more than 90 days, such fee or charge shall be added to the tax roll for the property, which is owned, in whole or in part, by the person upon whom the fee or charge is imposed, and shall be collected in a like manner as municipal taxes. 5. That unless otherwise stated, except by legislation or regulation, all fees or charges set out in this By-law shall be non-refundable. 6. That payment of any fee or charge in this By-law shall be in Canadian currency. 7. That in the event of a conflict between Schedules A-L of this By-law and any Schedule amended hereto, the other Schedule shall take precedence. 8. That a review of this by-law be undertaken annually. 9. That this By-law shall come into force and effect on the day of its passing.
