13 REDUCED HARMONICS FOR PURE DC INPUT Every battery needs a pure DC and Harmonics is the unwanted variations (peaks) which makes the direct current (DC) impure which in turn dissolves the whole purpose of back up. To get an optimum performance the battery needs current that is an almost straight line.
