27 Environmental Regulations EU standards All products by ARCAS meet current EU directives. The green Dot reflects the desire again, to contribute to environmental protection. All ARCAS products are regularly controlled by public testing institutes on environmental and certified with current test certificates. These can be requested if required. The CE marking harmonizes the regulations and technical standards in every member state. Moreover all tests and certification results are in the EU by reason of the mutual accepted common directives. The CE marking can be seen as a technical passport of the product. With the CE marking we declare, that our ARCAS products meet the requirements of the applicable EC directives. The RoHS means Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and aimes to restrict certain dangerous substances like different heavy metals used in electrical and electronic equipment according to the EU directive 2011/65/EU. All ARCAS products are tested according to the scope of RoHS. Since it requires the CE marking, seperate marking on the products is not necessary. Disposal of old devices Waste of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) which consists of noxious substances are marked with a crossed-out wheel bin. This EEE does not belong to the household garbage, but to a seperate waste disposal. For a proper and free disposal, there are municipal collections available. Electrical and electronic equipment, which is purchased from us, can be brought or sent back to us (ADA Import & Großvertriebs GmbH, Bergiusstraße 53-59, Berlin). Battery notes For normal storage the temperature should be between +10 C and +25 C and and shouldn t exeed +30 C. Extreme values of relative humidity (above 95% and below 40% relative humidity) for a long time must be avoided. Batteries should not be stored near radiators and boilers or directly under sunlight. It is adventageous to remove the batteries from a device that does not work properly or if it is not in use for long periods (e.g. cameras, flash units etc.). All batteries should be replaced at the same time. Newly purchased batteries should not be used together with partially discharged batteries. Batteries of different electrochemical systems, grades or trademarks should not be used together. Batteries must be disposed properly. The retail and communities provide appropriate container for disposal. Discharged batteries that we currently have or formerly had in our assortment, can be brought or sent back to us (ADA Import & Großvertriebs GmbH, Bergiusstraße 53-59, Berlin).
