2 Description of Change Stage 1 Fuel Filtration options are changing for QSK19, QSK38, QSK50, & QSK60 MCRS engines The new Stage 1 Fuel Filtration will offer the following benefits: NanoNet fuel filters with improved filtration efficiency and increased protection of fuel system components Increased water holding capacity Extended service intervals Pre-heater option available from the factory Improved reliability due to a reduction in the number of parts and number of sealing surfaces 2

14 Service Intervals When NanoNet fuel filter media is used for both Stage 1 and Stage 2 fuel filtration, the fuel filter change interval can be extended to 500 hrs without monitoring pressure drop across the filters If fuel filter plugging issues occur, this may be due to poor fuel quality. NanoNet filters are likely catching more particles which other filters allowed to pass through. Additional filtration or improved fuel quality may be necessary to reach desired maintenance intervals. 14

17 Inlets / Outlets Fuel inlet and outlet connections will be 1 ¼ Pipe (female) for both the Short and Tall Industrial Pro units Short Industrial Pro units will have (2) loose packed reducer fittings to go from 1 ¼ Pipe (female) to ¾ Pipe (female) to match previous fitting sizes 17

18 Electrical Connectors Electrical connectors will match the current Industrial Pro units Electrical connectors for the priming pump & WIF sensor will be a 2-pin Deutsch version Electrical connector for the optional pre-heater will be a 2- pin weather-pack version Connector details can be found on 2D FF option graphics 18
