INTRODUCTION Repair Station Number YUJR093Y operates using procedures described in its Repair Station Manual, which was prepared in accordance with current Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and the policies of Jett Pro. This European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Supplement to Jett Pro s Repair Station Manual was written to identify the differences between FAA CFR Part 145 and EASA-145 in the performance of Airframe & Powerplant maintenance by Jett Pro thereby ensuring standards is maintained. Jett Pro's FAA CFR PART 145 Repair Station Manual and this EASA Supplement provide the basis for working on a customer aircraft as directed by the airline s maintenance control procedures. 5 4. ACOUNTABLE MANAGER S COMMITMENT STATEMENT This Supplement, in conjunction with the Repair Station Manual, defines the organization and procedures upon which EASA approval is based. Jett Pro Repair Station Manual and this EASA Supplement will be maintained in a current status at all times. Jett Pro will not maintain or alter any item for which it is not rated, and will not maintain or alter any article for which it is rated if it requires technical data, equipment, materials or facilities that are not available. [ (b)]. Each person working for Jett Pro will have access to a copy of the Repair Station Manual and this EASA Supplement available for use and will be held accountable for understanding its contents. These procedures are approved by the undersigned, and must be adhered to, as applicable, when maintenance work orders are being processed under the conditions of the EASA Part-145 approval. It is accepted that the organization procedures do not override the necessity of complying with any additional requirements formally published by the EASA and notified to this organization from time to time. It is understood that the EASA will issue an Approval Certificate and list this organization in an EASA published list while the EASA is satisfied that the procedures are being followed and work standards maintained. It is further understood that the EASA reserves the right to revoke the Approval Certificate if the EASA considers that procedures are not followed or standards not upheld. APPROVED: President Page 4 of 10
5. APPROVAL BASIS AND LIMITATION EASA approval is based upon compliance with CFR Part 145 and Part 43 except where varied by the conditions specified in the EASA BASA/MIP procedures. The approval of maintenance is limited to the scope of work permitted under the current Certificate issued by the FAA to the Repair Station in accordance with CFR Part 145 and to the locations specified in accordance with part 145 authorized Operation Specification. 6. ACCESS BY EASA AND FAA EASA and FAA staff will be allowed access to Jett Pro's facilities for the purpose of ascertaining compliance with procedures and standards and to investigate specific problems. Those staff members will present their FAA or EASA identification before entry. EASA and FAA staff will be expected to abide by all appropriate safety regulations while in all work areas. FAA staff may access Jett Pro facilities to investigate on behalf of the EASA. 7. WORK ORDERS / CONTRACTS All customer work orders coming from EASA monitored organizations will specify the inspections, repairs and parts replacements that must be carried out. This repair station will verify with the customer that such work orders are complete, accurate and fully understandable by personnel working from them. Page 5 of 10
8. APPROVED DESIGN ENGINEERING DATA Only design engineering data, which is typically supplied by the original equipment manufacturer (O.E.M) or approved by the National Aviation Authority of the Type Certificate Holder or equivalent or data supplied by the customer and approved by the EASA will be used in the maintenance, repair or overhaul of related aircraft components. All data approval will be confirmed by the customer. Data developed by an FAA DER may not necessarily be accepted by EASA. Hence the requirement for the customer to ensure that any necessary approvals are obtained from his authority or to confirm that the Repair Station data is acceptable cannot be over emphasized. 9. AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES If the customer requires compliance with non FAA Airworthiness Directives that are in addition to those provided by the FAA, the customer will be required to supply all pertinent data for compliance. This Repair Station will also establish that the customer has obtained or is in the process of obtaining any necessary approvals from EASA or has confirmed that the Repair Station data is acceptable. In all cases, the customer is responsible for specifying any Airworthiness Directive compliance required during maintenance through out the work order. Page 6 of 10
10. MAJOR REPAIRS / ALTERATIONS / MODIFICATIONS Major repairs / alterations / modifications that need EASA approval in addition to FAA approval will require the customer to obtain that approval from the EASA and provide documentation to this Repair Station. Reference to that EASA documentation will be made in the customer work order. 11. CERTIFICATE OF AIRWORTHINESS VALIDITY The Certificate of Airworthiness of the customer aircraft is indefinite. The EASA operator is responsible for ensuring the Certificate of Airworthiness remains valid. If the EASA operator requests Jett Pro to check the validity of its Certificate of Airworthiness, Jett Pro Repair Station is to inform the customer before the release to service is issued. Page 7 of 10
12. RELEASE OF AIRCRAFT AFTER MAINTENANCE Release to service of aircraft shall be carried out in accordance with FAR 43.9, except the paragraphs 7 through 10 and 12 of this supplement shall be taken into account. At the completion of maintenance, the following statement shall be made in the aircraft maintenance record: Release to service in accordance with FAR 43.9: Jett Pro certifies that the work specified except as otherwise specified was carried out in accordance with FAA airworthiness regulations, and with respect to that work, the aircraft is considered ready for release to service. 13. REPORTING OF UNAIRWORTHY CONDITIONS Serious defects found in European aircraft or components will be reported to the FAA and customer / operator using FAA Form Service Difficulty Report. Reference Jett Pro Repair Station Manual (RSM), Section QUALITY MONITORING SYSTEM Jett Pro maintains a quality monitoring system consisting of audit procedures wherein all operations are subject to audits and/or other unscheduled audits as deemed necessary. Audits are performed in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Jett Pro Quality Assurance Manual. Jett Pro does continuous audits to maintain the highest standards of quality. Page 8 of 10
15. PROVISION OF HANGAR SPACE FOR AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE Jett Pro functions as a line maintenance provider. This means this work is performed in an outdoor facility. CONTRACTED MAINTENANCE Jett Pro Repair Station is NOT authorized to contract any of the maintenance out to any vendor. All line maintenance functions are performed by Jett Pro personnel. 17.
