Vision Our new vision is to be a globally competitive, downstream business that Oman is proud of. This is a dramatic shift from being just a national refinery and products player, and it reflects our decision to go international as a business that competes globally for customer preference. oday we are no longer a commodity driven producer but a customer focused producer & innovator. Our priorities have changed from creating latent value out of Oman s crude to creating derived value by added product creation. Our focus has shifted from being a learning and skills oriented company for employees to one that empowers them.
Mision That is why our new mission is to sustainably maximize the value for our stakeholders as their partner of choice. It focuses on value creation throughout work process. The emphasis is on optimization of resources and becoming an attractive partner for our customers.
Values We have also adopted a new set of values and behaviors which include health along with safety and environment as a top priority. They encourage us to work with integrity, commitment and engagement. They are focused on empowerment as a tool to promote the trust culture. They inspire us to serve Oman and our customers with pride, putting the customer as a prime area of focus. 4 Knowledge Hub

Reality Virtual Virtual reality (VR) is a computer technology that uses virtual reality headsets or multi-projected environments, sometimes in combination with physical environments or props, to generate realistic images, sounds and other sensations that simulate a user's physical presence in a virtual or imaginary environment. A person using virtual reality equipment is able to "look around" the artificial world, and with high quality VR move around in it and interact with virtual features or items. The effect is commonly created by VR headsets consisting of a head-mounted display with a small screen in front of the eyes, but can also be created through specially designed rooms with multiple large screens. Virtual Room contains Orpic images of the Refinery and Plants will be projected on the wall using the Oculus to see the 360 video of the plant location 7 Knowledge Hub

This is an example of reusing and recycling wasted material. also the smart car makes a good example of Orpic products because its body made out of plastic unlike other cars that made of fiberglass Smart Car 15 Knowledge Hub
Polypropylene Our Polypropylene Plant manufactures seventeen different grades of homopolymer. Our Polypropylene Plant manufactures seventeen different grades of homopolymer. Marketed under the brand name of "Luban", these grades cover all the broad spectrum applications of polypropylene homopolymer.polypropylene has a wealth of applications and is currently one of the fastest growing polymers among all other standard plastics. Thanks to its low costs, versatility and manufacturability, polypropylene issued across industries including agriculture and fishing, appliances and home-wares, automotive, electronics, packing and distribution, and textiles.we chose the name Luban to reflect the quality and purity of our product. Luban is Arabic for frankincense, a famous natural Omani product, and the appearance of our polypropylene pellets has a similar appearance to frankincense granules. 16 Knowledge Hub

Control Room Is a room serving as a central space where a large physical facility or physically dispersed service can be monitored and controlled. Multiple electronic displays and control panels also referred to as Distributed Control Systems (DCS) are usually present and manned on a "365/7/24" basis. The aim is to centralize plant operations to allow control, monitoring, and reporting of individual components and processes at a single and safe location. The dense concentration of equipment often requires special electrical uninterruptible power supply (UPS) feeds and air conditioning so it can stay in operation in case of power outage. 20 Knowledge Hub

RFCC Residue Fluid catalytic cracking (RFCC) is a process technology for converting heavy oils into more valuable gasoline, propylene and lighter products with a powdered catalyst. UOP RFCC technology is being operated in Orpic. This process pioneered the use of two stage catalyst regeneration and external catalyst coolers. Atmospheric residue from the bottom of Crude distillation unit is preheated and then injected into the catalyst riser in the reactor where it is vaporized and cracked into smaller molecules of vapor by contact and mixing with the very hot powdered catalyst from the regenerator. The reactor is a vessel in which the cracked product vapors are: (a) separated from the spent catalyst by flowing through a set of two-stage cyclones within the reactor and (b) the spent catalyst flows downward through a steam stripping section to remove any hydrocarbon vapors before the spent catalyst returns to the catalyst regenerator. The catalyst is regenerated by burning off the deposited coke with air blown into the regenerator and then cycled back to the reactor. The reaction product vapors flow from the top of the reactor to the main fractionator where they are distilled into the end products of cracked gasoline cuts, fuel oil, mixed LPG and offgas. The cracked gasoline becomes a high-octane component of the refinery's blended gasolines after further processing for removal of sulfur compounds in downstream units. The main fractionator mixed LPG and offgas is sent to what is called a gas recovery unit where it is separated into propane & butanes (LPG), butylenes (further processed and sent to blended gasoline pool), propylene, and lower molecular weight gases (hydrogen, methane, ethylene and ethane) used as fuel gas within the refinery. 22 Knowledge Hub
