Along with passive and active diesel particle filter systems (DPF), the product portfolio also includes the BNOx SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. TECHNICAL FACTSHEET LOW-TEMP SCR The BNOx SCR system comprises a generator (ammonia/nh3), which meters the NH3 gas directly into the exhaust gas line. Unlike conventional SCR systems, that principle of operation eliminates the need for functionally critical hydrolysis in the exhaust gas stream. This, in turn, provides numerous benefits: SCR-DPF The system works at temperatures as low as 150 C NOx reduction rates of 99% are possible (test cycles) Real drive NOx emissions are reduced by 94% Smaller installation space requirement, compact design No crystallization occurs in the exhaust gas stream at low temperatures DOC AMMONIA GENERATOR 11

9 EXHAUST TEMPERATURE DETERMINES FILTER SYSTEM COMMERCIAL VEHICLE We offer a cost effective solution for a wide range of commercial vehicles with a broad spectrum of applications and operating conditions. Retrofitting from light commercial vehicles under 3.5 tones, to medium-sized commercial vehicles between 3.5 tones to 12 tones, to heavy-duty commercial vehicles over 12 tones. Exhaust temperature is the key to selecting the right filter system. Vehicles with high-loading which operate on long stretches of interurban roads and highways generally have higher exhaust temperatures than vehicles used without loads primarily or exclusively in towns. The higher the exhaust temperatures, the easier it is to regenerate the particulates collected in the filter element. To meet the different conditions, we offer a product range which includes various filter technologies such as partial flow and wall flow filters with passive and active regeneration. DIRECT REPLACEMENT OF THE ORIGINAL EURO IV/V SCR SYSTEM - SCR EXCHANGE Following the introduction of the EURO IV/V exhaust gas standards in 2006 and 2008, engine manufacturers installed SCR exhaust gas systems in commercial vehicles and vans. Some of those original exhaust gas systems have already been in service for nearly ten years now which means that they have reached the end of their service life. The Mayor s Taxi and Private Hire Action Plan sets out how they intend to to establish the Capital s taxi fleet as the greenest in the world. With the pressure of improving local air quality and the establishment of Clean Air Zones, and the London Ultra Low Emission Zone, taxi operators will need to evaluate the suitability of their vehicles with regards to achieving mandatory vehicle emission standards. CLEAN AIR ZONES REQUIRED BY 2020 The cities required to have a clean air zones by 2020 are Birmingham, London, Leeds, Nottingham, Derby and Southampton, meaning all taxis and private hire will be effected in these areas, and will require meeting strict emissions standards. For a fraction of the cost we can help you meet the required emissions standards allowing fee-free access to Low-Emissions Zones and Clean Air Zones. In addition, NRMM who operate in the UK are no longer able to operate in cities without being subject to emission regulations and clean air environmental zones.
