1 Europafilter - One Filter, Three Functions Europafilter is an offline oil filter (also called side stream filter) based on cellulose filter technology.

3 1 Europafilter - One Filter, Three Functions Europafilter is an offline oil filter (also called side stream filter) based on cellulose filter technology. It can be deployed for any kind of heavy machinery and hydraulic equipment that use engine oil & lubricants Europafilter incorporates three functions in one flter system: 1. Ultra Filtration EF500HY traps all types of particle, both large and small down to 0.1 microns 2. Slows down oxidation Not only does the filter restrain the oxidation, it also traps deposits and resins that form when the oil oxidizes 3. Reducing Water the same filter that traps particles also absorbs all types of water from the oil: bound, free and emulsified The EF2100 series comes with a range of additional options. Different ways to check flow, oil heating for cold conditions and high viscosities, different types of stands, mobile variants, system with spill tray and overfill protection, different varieties of oil supply as air pumps and pressure reducers and EX classed systems across all the various explosive zones (ATEX). 4 Particles Resin Water Offline 1.1 Filter Inserts The Europafilter cleaning system, which is analogous to a human kidney, is excellent to use as a kidney to a machine, making the lubricant cleaner and cleaner during full production with your equipment. Simply connect the pump suction to the lowest point of the oil reservoir, usually the drain. Cleaned oil is returned as far away as possible within the oil tank. EF500HY The filter The Europafilter is made with the best oil cleaning capabilities available in the market. Most oil filters can filter down to between 2 and 5 micron (which is where ISO and NAS standards end), but studies have shown that 70% of particles in oil in weight terms are smaller than 1 micron. Our unique and patented capillary filtration system absorbs water effectively and removes the majority of solid particles which are harmful to the machine down to 100 nano (0.1 µm) and below. This is done without chemicals, which have the disadvantage that they remove or neutralize the oil additives. Whereas others deal in grams, Europafilter prides itself on handling kilos and the cellulose filter can trap up to 3 kg of contaminations, and it absorbs as much as 3 liters of water before a change is required. 7 1.4 Model Explanation EF2100 Series The EF systems are named with a certain type number depending on how it is dimensioned, which extra functions are included and in what way the filter housings on the EF-systems are supplied with oil. The following sections explain these extra functions and the letters and numbers that designate them Visual Flow Control (V) Fits all models in the EF-2100 series, this is an optional function to all models in the EF-2100 series. You can integrate an oval gear meter and are able to visually watch the oil flow Digital Flow Control (D) Fits models in the EF-2100 series, this is an optional function to the EF-2100 models. You can integrate a digital flow sensor. On a display you will be able to follow the actual flow in liter per minute and total litres that have passed through. You can also put on an alarm on maximu flow, minimum flow and on total litres. With this function added to the EF-2100 you also get the system prepared for oil heaters Spill Tray (S) and Overfill Protection (T) The EF-2100 systems can be mounted on a rack with a spill tray (S) to prevent oil soil. As an extra option you can get it with an overfill protection function. It is a float switch integrated under the system. The system stops if there is a leakage. The tray with overill protection is of advantage if the system is used in unwatched conditions.the overfill protection also prepares the system for oil heaters (EF2125DS) Page 7
