Here's how: Width Measure between the jambs at three points: top, middle and bottom. Height Measure from the high point of the sill to the top of the opening on the left, center and right of the window. Depth Ensure a minimum of 2-1/2" of opening depth between the inside window trim and the outside. When placing your order, always use the smallest rough opening size when ordering. Also, note that the actual window will be 1/2" smaller in width and height. How to Install For accurate price estimates using United Inches, round width and height. NOTE: Each Scenix porch window must be mounted between a support beam on each side. For example, if your open space is 12 feet wide, you would install at least one post in the middle of the opening. From there, measure the rough openings (spaces) that are created when you added the post. When installing Scenix windows, we recommend that a second person assist you with installation. First, unwrap your new window and discard the packaging material including three metal shipping clips and foam blocks. Position the window in the opening and center it both vertically and horizontally, using shims to square and plumb. Install the provided screens in the pre-punched holes in the sides of the jambs in the top and bottom of the window. To avoid bowing, do not overtighten.
