1 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND OWNERS MANUAL Roller Do Operat IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO COMMENCING THE INSTALLATION OF THE OPERATOR UNIT This Aumatic Opener has en designed provide years trouble free use. 2 PRE-INSTALLATION NOTES Check that re is sufficient side clearance fit operat unit. It may fitted eir right left h side. DOOR TYPE M. Side clearance f Operat "A" Series (25mm deep tracks) 100mm "AA" Series (50mm deep tracks) 125mm All dos with Wdlok Tracks Subject Drum Position 150mm Ensure re is a properly eard mas supply socket adjacent where operat is fitted. If operat is g fitted at same time as new do station, read se structions conjunction with do station structions. If operat is g retro-fitted, make sure do operates smoothly is properly balanced. N.B.: SPECIAL CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN IF RE-TENSIONING OF THE DOOR IS REQUIRED. At no stage should you loosen both U bolts if do is under tension. IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL SUPPLIER OF THIS OPERATOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1 Whilst do roll is on flo, rotate shaft backwards fwards h n release. Anti-Cong Colar STEP 3 Figure 2 Slide drive unit on shaft as shown (Figure 2) ensurg drive lugs engage fully with narrowest spoke on drum wheel. N.B.: Right-h station shown (side lookg out). Lift do on mountg brackets (ensurg curta roll is crect way round) centralise curta roll with openg. Refer do station structions. (New stations only). Ensure mot assembly is fully engaged with drum wheel spokes. Clamp shaft mountg brackets usg U Bolts supplied. (Use U bolt opener pack f MOTOR end). See Figure 3. 3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - CONTINUED Ensure lockg bars (if fitted) are moved retracted (unlocked) position keys removed from lock. Mount Control Unit approximately 1.6m from flo out reach children. Use No.4 x 1 self-tappg screws rawplugs supplied. Ensure aerial is clear steel suppts coiled electrical leads. Fit plug from mot unit botm Control Box. Connect control unit power cd an adjacent socket. Ensure that socket is properly eard. SETTING TOP AND BOTTOM LIMITS N.B: Right H Instation only. If left h, limit switch will reversed. STEP1 Remove Limit Switch Cover Plate (See Figure 3) carefully prisg f with a sm screwdriver. STEP 2 Top limit cam T controls open position do. Botm limit cam B controls closed position do. STEP 3 Slightly loosen three retag screws so that cams can easily moved (See Figure 4). STEP 4 Ensure that manual release lever is still disengaged position, manuy raise do until it is approx 100mm from p sp position. STEP 5 Rotate cam T ( same direction that it was movg as you were manuy raisg do) so that it actuates p Limit Switch. STEP 6 Manuy lower do until it is uchg ground. STEP 7 Rotate cam B ( same direction that it was movg as you were manuy lowerg do) so that it actuates botm Limit Switch. STEP 8 Tighten three retag screws so that cams will not move. STEP 9 Manuy position do halfway re-engage mot drive movg manual release lever (red colour) engage position. N.B: Do can now only operated electricy, not manuy. If you wish return manual operation, ensure power is switched f move lever disengage position. STEP 10 Connect two mot wires (Spade Connects) (Refer Figure 5) loose wires from Limit Switches. Switch on power Control Box operate do from Push Butn on Control Box. IMPORTANT: When do is travellg Up position, hold botm rail. The do should overload sp. If it does not, reverse mot wires (Spade Connections). You will need re-adjust Limit Cams as y will wkg a different direction. STEP 11 Press Butn on Control Box Front check closg sppg position. STEP 12 If you are achievg desired sp position, n replace Limit Switch Cover Plate. If not, n reset Limit Cams (Steps 2 9) after first turng f mas power. STEP 13 Once limits have en set, fit additional security screws (2 f self-tappg screws supplied) with do manual mode. With do fully closed, mark panel at first pot where curta roll uches drum wheel, on both ends curta (See Figure 6). Raise do slightly so that marks can seen accessed from side garage (Figure 7). Fit security screws through botm a crugation plastic flange drum wheel, on both ends curta. Tighten securely. 4 SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT Remove cover on front control box (Insert a screwdriver slot at botm cover nd gently downwards.) Figure 7 Sm Coloured Butn Disengage do movg Manual Release Lever. The do should now go through four cycles (up down) light will come on f overload alert dication that sensitivity adjustment is complete. Replace front cover. LED s Au Close Pot on reverse side Logic Board Slot AUTO CLOSE OPTION * Note: Maty Pho Eye Protection must used f this option. Contact your local supplier. PROGRAMMING HANDSETS TO NEW CONTROL BOX 1) With power turned on unit press release sm butn (learng butn) yellow LED will come on dicatg that you unit is ready accept a code. 2) Press hset butn once. If code is accepted green LED will blk twice. * F multiple hsets code m at this stage 3) Press release sm butn (learng butn) yellow LED will go f. DELETING HANDSETS TO NEW CONTROL BOX To delete codes» Turn power f» Press hold down sm butn (Learng Butn) while you turn power on 3 LED s will flash twice dicatg that codes have en deleted. To delete dividual codes (you must have hset that you wish delete)» With power turned on unit press release sm butn (learng butn) yellow LED will come on dicatg that you unit is learn mode.» Press hset butn twice. If code is deleted red LED will blk twice.» Press release sm butn (learng butn) yellow LED will go f. SERVICE INDICATOR After 4000 operations do, courtesy light will flash 3 times stay on f 3 mutes as a service dicat. Please contact your local service agent.

5 FAULT FINDING DOOR WILL NOT OPERATE FROM A) Control Box» Check power is on Control Unit (Red L.E.D. illumated).» IF NOT, check mas plug fuse.» Plug fully engaged on p Control Box.» Mot wirg connections properly engaged.» Manual release lever engaged position.» Limit Switch cams crectly set. i.e. upper Limit Switch f fully open position, lower Limit Switch f fully closed position.» Move do manuy half-closed position try aga.» Try operation with H Transmitter. B) On H Transmitter» Check do operates crectly usg Push Butn on Power Head prove system is okay.» Try recodg Transmitter.» Check battery Transmitter is crectly fitted. L.E.D. should illumate.» Try new battery.» Move aerial manuy try different ientations, keepg it away from steel structures electrical cables. DOOR OPERATES BUT FAILS TO FULLY OPEN OR REVERSES BEFORE CLOSING» Check manual operation f crect balance, not bdg. Adjust if necessary.» Spray silicone lubricant tracks. Do not grease.» Check/adjust safety sensitivity settg.» Check Limits. BANGS HARD ON TRACK STOPS WHEN FULLY OPEN» Check p Limit Switch settg.» Adjust if necessary. BANGS HARD ON GROUND AND REVERSES WHEN FULLY SHUT» Check botm Limit Switch settg.» Adjust if necessary. DOOR FAILS TO TRAVEL DOWN FROM OPEN POSITION - MOTOR RUNS AND ROLLER DOOR BALOONS» Check do curta has smooth le entry tracks, as near vertical as possible.» Check do tension is not o great, reduce sprg tension it necessary.» If above does not cure problem, n do may require a weight bar fitted. SHORT RANGE REMOTE CONTROL» Remote Control should give mimum 6m range.» Check battery is crectly fitted Transmitter.» Try new battery.» Move aerial try different ientations, keepg away from steel structures electrical cables. DOOR OPERATES BUT FAILS TO FULLY OPEN BUT REVERSES TO CLOSED POSITION» Change Mot Wire (Spade Connects).» Reset Limits.» Re-adjust Sensitivity Adjustment. POWER FAILURE To disengage» Pull manual release lever (red hle) downwards (refer fig 3). To engage» Push manual release lever up.
