Our manufactured equipment is found in nearly every US state as well as several foreign countries. In addition, we install, modernize, and service equipment within the fi ve-state region. MI is a licensed, insured, and bonded elevator contractor and a member of the National ssociation of levator ontractors. Our equipment meets the requirements of the SM 17.1 code / S 44. ustomer Focus We provide several packages for standard applications, but we specialize in adapting our product to customer requirements. ach elevator produced by MI is individually engineered. This process allows us to customize each application without costly fees or etensive lead times. Past work has included round, glass, and non-traditional shaped passenger car platforms, 40,000# capacity freight cars, and 60,000# capacity truck lifts. urrently, MI manufactures about 600 elevators annually. variety of passenger, freight, and service applications are built and shipped to locations in both the public and private sectors. Job sites include churches, schools, convention centers, hotel complees, airport epansions, stadiums, hospitals, and industrial plants. Many of our customers are independent contractors, but we also provide equipment to major elevator companies. Installation perience MI installs approimately 100 cars per year within the fi ve-state area. Since we receive direct feedback from the mechanics working with our equipment, we are able to continually fi ne-tune our designs for easier installation. MI engineers visit various projects during the installation process to gain valuable hands-on eperience. The main guide rails are mounted on each side of the car and an additional pair of counterweight rails is located on one side or at the rear. The geared machine, along with the related drive equipment, is generally located above the hoistway in a penthouse machine room. In some limited situations, it can be located net to the hoistway at a lower landing. Our manufacturing process includes a thorough inspection of all cab materials, which is followed by a complete fi nal set up of each cab. Swing ar Station s a standard, each MI cab includes a Swing OP. lthough this design is not a true swing return, it allows mechanics the same convenient access to the rear of the panel. Full swing returns and applied OP arrangements are available upon request. The MI Swing OP design includes removable fl ush-mounted plates for the apacity/no Smoking signs and the Phase II Fire Instructions. This feature makes wording changes convenient and inepensive. VMI igital Position Indicator ach VMI PI is equipped with two alpanumeric characters. The VMI PI is fi eldprogrammable. mergency Light apacity/no Smoking Plate This is a stud-mounted removable plate with laser-cut joints and etched signage.
