All other areas not changed or otherwise modified by this Addendum shall remain in full force and effect. This Addendum is hereby made an integral part of the ITB document. Bidder must be responsive to any requirements of this Addendum as if the requirements were set forth in the ITB. Failure to do so may result in Bid rejection. See the ITB regarding requests for clarification or change and protests of this Addendum, and the deadlines for the foregoing. This addendum is to be acknowledged in the space provided on the Bidder Certification form supplied in the solicitation document. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this addendum may be cause to reject your offer. The closing date REMAINS: March 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM CHANGES: The Substantial Completion date is changed to: August 26, 2016 See attached Specifications and Drawings for additional changes. Replace Section I Instructions to Bidders item 6.c. with the following: c. Controls: i. Johnson Controls (JCI) will be installed by a District approved contractor as outlined in BSD Technical Standard Division 23: HVAC. Currently, the following contractors are approved installers: Johnson Controls, Inc Northwest Control Contractors Controls will be installed at each unit or used to interface to each unit. The JCI system will be the BACnet version. The controls will be a complete package including graphics and will be part of the Districts Metasys ADS system. CLARIFICATIONS: If a substitution request was submitted to the district and it is included in any of the addenda it is considered acceptable. If a substitution request is not incorporated in an addenda it is considered rejected. District Goal: All students will show continuous progress toward their personal learning goals, developed in collaboration with teachers and parents, and will be prepared for post-secondary education and career success. 2 Questions and Answers: Q: Unit Ventilators Please confirm that the unit ventilators have a single speed fan. UV spec and sequence of operations appear to show different requirements. A: Unit ventilators are specified as three speed units. The controls will operate the UV at the speed selected at the unit by the balancer to achieve specified airflow. There is not intention to operate the UV at more than one speed from the BAS. Q: Is there a sequence of operations for the multizone units/central exhaust serving the library? A: Same sequence as for the MZU serving the band area, see Q: Addendum 2 states all Johnson Controls in the boiler room to be replaced. Does this include the NAE? A: No reference is intended to indicate in Addendum 2 that All Johnson Controls in the Boiler Room are to be replaced. Please refer to section E of the specifications. Provide with quick disconnect, diverter valve, pressure balance mixing valve with stops, supports and piping by the shower manufacturer. All mounting brackets, heads, valves, etc., shall be of vandal-proof construction. Upper wall concealed pipe chase for top supply, mounting clips, one piece 16 gauge min. stainless steel panel. Provide fold down wall mount seat and grab bar with stainless steel extension to ceiling. Bradley HN250-HD. Shower valves shall conform to ASME A / CSA B Chase Mounted SH-3 : Stainless steel wall panel shower assembly furnished complete with 1.5 gpm shower head on slide bar, pressure balance mixing valve with stops, supports and piping by the shower manufacturer. All mounting brackets, heads, valves, etc., shall be of vandal-proof construction. Upper wall concealed pipe chase cover with mounting clips, one piece 18 gauge min. 304 stainless steel panel with stainless steel extension to ceiling. Bradley WS-1WCA-HD-SB-G-SHV- ST. General Electric, ABB, Allen Bradley, Schneider Electric, Eaton, are approved equal. Provide starters by same manufacturer throughout project. B. General: Provide each motor with starter or switch as approved and recommended by manufacturer of motor or equipment of which motor is a part. C. System Description 1. Single Phase Starter: Starters for 115VAC single phase motors less than 1 HP shall be capable of both manual and automatic operation. Refer to Section D for single phase starter requirements. 2. Magnetic Starters: Starters for 3-phase motors shall be magnetic starters. Refer to Section E for magnetic starter requirements. 3. Combination Starters: Provide combination magnetic starters for all motors requiring branch circuit protection or a line-of-sight disconnect. Refer to Section F for combination magnetic starter requirements. D. Enclosed Full Voltage Non-Reversing (FVNR) Single Phase Starter 1. Single Phase Motor Starter Control: The single phase motor starter shall consist of a manually operated quick-make toggle mechanism lockable in the Off position which shall also function as the motor disconnect. Additionally, the starter shall provide thermal overload protection, run status pilot light and fault pilot light. The starter must include the capability to operate in both manual and automatic control modes. In automatic mode, the starter shall have the capability to integrate with a building automation system by providing terminals for run input, run status output and fault output. All control terminals shall be integrated in the starter. At a minimum, each single phase starter shall include an interposing run relay and current sensing status output relay. Single phase motor starter shall be in a surface mount enclosure. 2. Approved manufacturer: Cerus Industrial, model BAS-1P or approved equal. E. Enclosed Full Voltage Non-Reversing (FVNR) Non-Combination Starter 1. Magnetic Motor Starters shall be enclosed in a general purpose electrical enclosure with the appropriate environmental rating. 2. Starters shall consist of a horsepower rated magnetic contactor with a minimum of 1NO and 1NC auxiliary contacts and solid state electronic overload relay. Overload relay shall protect all three phases with a wide range current setting and trip class to allow field adjustment for specific motor FLA. Overload relay shall provide phase failure, phase loss, locked rotor and stall protection. 3. Provide a manual reset pushbutton on the starter cover to restore normal operation after a trip or fault condition. 4. Each starter shall include an installed 50VA control power transformer (CPT) with protected secondary. The CPT must accept the available line voltage and the control voltage shall not exceed 120V. 5 Cedar Park and Meadow Park Middle School 03/03/2016 Addendum Items 5 5. Installed accessories shall include Hand-Off-Auto operation switch with 22mm style operator interfaces. Include LED pilot light indicators for Hand, Off, Auto, Run and Overload conditions. All pilot devices shall be water tight and dust tight. 6. When remotely controlled by an automation system, the starter shall include remote run terminals which accept both a voltage input signal and a contact closure. The voltage run input shall accept both AC and DC signals including 24VAC, 120VAC, 24VDC and 48VDC to allow direct connection of the transistorized automation signal to the starter. 7. In applications where the motor is interlocked with a damper or valve, the actuator control must reside within the starter enclosure. The starter must provide a voltage output to operate the actuator to open the damper or valve without closing the motor circuit. The starter will only close the motor circuit and start the motor after it has received a contact closure from a limit or end switch confirming the damper or valve position. 8. Manufacturer shall provide and install tags with engraved white lettering to designate equipment served. F. Enclosed Full Voltage Non-Reversing (FVNR) Combination Starter / Disconnect. 1. Enclosed combination starters shall include all of the magnetic starter requirements in addition to a disconnecting method. Acceptable disconnects include: motor circuit protectors, UL 489 circuit breakers, or a fused disconnects. All disconnects shall include a lockout mechanism when in the off position. See Section E for other requirements. 2. The Motor Circuit protector shall be a UL listed 508 current limiting manual motor starter with magnetic trip elements only. The breaker shall carry a UL 508F rating (up to 100A frame size) which provides for coordinated short circuit rating for use with the motor contactor and provides a minimum interrupting rating of 30,000 AIC for the combination starter. 3. Fused disconnect shall be UL 98 suitable for service entrance protection. It shall accommodate time delay J-style fuses. 4. UL 489 breaker shall include thermal and magnetic trip mechanisms. G. Enclosed Starter Options: 1. Must provide over/under voltage and phase monitoring capability. Monitor shall be field adjustable for both over and under voltage levels and a delay time before returning to normal operation after a trip. 2. Starter must measure and display output current on the front cover. If necessary, install digital or analog ammeter. H. Quality Assurance 1. Manufacturer shall provide a five year warranty on the complete starter assembly. 2. The starter assembly shall be UL listed under UL 508A. 4) Article 3.02, D: Revise as follows. Page 3 of 5

Review Electrical Specifications and Drawings to determine which mechanical motor starters will be provided under the Electrical Specification Sections and provide all others. Adjust all starters as required for equipment loads and proper operation. SECTION ) Article 4.07: Revise as follows. 5. Demand Ventilation Control (DVC): During occupied mode the outside air dampers shall modulate to maintain return air CO2 levels at or below 1000 ppm (Adjustable). DVC shall occur when levels begin to exceed the CO2 set point. This sequence for units without terminal unit CO 2 sensors. SECTION ) Article 3.04: Revise heading as follows RESTORATION OF EXISTING HVAC OR REFURBISH EQUIPMENT DRAWINGS Cedar Park: 1. Revision Sheet A1.0 Add repair information for curb and sidewalk outside of boiler room for chiller piping trenching. 2. Revision Sheet M1.1_1.2_1.3_1.4_1.5_1.6_1.7 Add demolition coordination note for all demo sheets. 3. Revision Sheet M2.1 Revise Mechanical Plan Notes. Add information at admin area for controls of existing equipment, along with revising rtu note and adding ef note with tag. Add duct cleaning notes to several locations. Erase reference to stat near boiler room at janitor s office. Revise state information for Kitchen and Cafeteria/Platform. 4. Revision Sheet M2.3 Revise relief information at Fitness Center. Revise section cut at 2M2.3. Revise SA and RA ductwork at computer lab/mechanical loft. Revise stat information in B-14 and B-12. Revise all VAV stat references for RTU-3 VAV boxes from 2 series to 3 series to match RTU Revision Sheet M2.4 Revise stat in Classroom C-7/C Revision Sheet M2.5 Fix viewports, and add duct cleaning notes to mezzanine ductwork. Revise general note to add mezzanine ductwork cleaning. 7. Revision Sheet M2.6 Add information for Fan B-4 near Library. Add second relief for fitness room as shown on floor plan.
