AS THE INSTALLER YOU WILL BE THE ONE TO PHYSICALLY REMOVE THE PLACARD, BY REMOVING THE WARNING PLACARD YOU ARE AGREEING TO ACCEPT ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE ALLOWED TO USE AND/OR OPERATE THE MACHINE. 2 1. Remove from packaging. 2. Remove connectors from the switches and voltmeter noting how they are attached. 3. Carefully remove switches from switch plate, by depressing wings on each end. 4. Remove the Safety Warning placard. PLEASE REVIEW FIRST PAGE OF THIS DOCUMENT Use a ⅛ drill to remove the rivets holding the placard in place and peel it away from the dash. 5. Once removed place the switch plate in place where you want it mark and drill (⅛ bit) the 2 center holes by doing this you will ensure the outer 4 are lined up perfectly and that there has been no movement of the plate while drilling. 6. Secure the plate with the center holes using the supplied hardware and continue to mark and drill the outer four holes. Once drilled secure the corners. 7. Use a scratch awl or sharp pointed nail to mark the dash were it needs to be cut. Using a dremel tool or similar trim the dash until it looks like the figure below. Make sure the slot is about ¼ wider than the marks you made the switch wings stick out. Trim a 1 slot between the center of the Voltmeter hole and the large upper slot it will help with installing wiring later.

3 8. Open the hood and mount the Main relay as shown on the drivers side using the supplied hardware, be sure to use the washer and lock out the nut alone will pull through the fender plastic). You will need to trim the fender if you are mounting it this far forward. It can be mounted anywhere in this area the wire is long enough. It was mounted forward to give room for the winch contactor which allowed for a direct battery feed to the relay(if you desire add the appropriate wire Minimum 10awg from the contactor)

4 9. Install the fuse panel as shown. Using the panel itself as a template for the cuts, mark the fender and using a dremel make the cuts. Measure thrice cut once, fenders are expensive. 10. Run the wire leading to the main relay around through the wheel well and along the support to the main relay, once connected secure it with the included zip ties.

5 11. Make the connections to the already installed relay. Take the grey wire(orange wire is shown) and splice into the headlight connection as shown in the figure below. Splice into the white wire. 12. Connect the black ground wire to any of the 4 bolts shown in this picture in the passenger wheel well.

6 13. Remount the switches in the panel according to the diagrams below. Winch Others 14. You now have most of the install complete, run the loom with the switch connections up to the dash and through the hole, make connections to the voltmeter first. Grey wire with connector to blade connection/black wire to the (-) / red wire to the (+). Now connect the switch connectors starting with the winch switch first this is the BLUE connector and continuing down the line. It will be difficult to connect them out of order due to the ground and dash light connections between the connectors. Lead the wire loop coming from the winch switch down to the under hood area. 15. Once connected install the the switch plate and switches and secure with the Included hardware. 16. The Honda Auxiliary Sub harness with the two connectors is next, first remove the existing harness from the back of the Honda installed 12v outlet under the dash follow it up to the next connector and remove that portion of the harness and set aside, the Red Mountain Harness will plug in its place. It will only connect one way, no worry about connecting it backwards.

7 17. Take the two longer loom wrapped portions of the harness and run them through the wheel well opening. (Running the shorter of the two up the Passenger side A-Post of the ROPS if that is where your accessories are) You can split the harness off and lead the different colors where you need them and use the ground lug on the back of the fuse panel as a connection point or find a place on the frame to ground to. Secure with included wire ties as needed. Shorter Harness Circuits. Switch/Fuse 2 Pink Switch/Fuse 3 White Switch/Fuse 4 Orange Switch/Fuse 5 Green GROUND Black Running the Longer of the two along the Passenger side main frame rail and along the gas tank. You will need to remove the seat and raise the dump bed for best access. The large gauge red wire needs to be run to the battery POSITIVE under the passenger seat. The rest of the loom can go up the passenger side B- Post or if you have a it will reach the peak of the Passenger side C-Post. Longer Harness Circuits Switch/Fuse 6 Blue Switch/Fuse 7 Purple Switch/Fuse 8 Brown GROUND Black LARGE RED Battery (+) 18. Before Making connections to accessories confirm that each switch/circuit is working as expected, by using a multimeter or 12v test light. (you will need to turn the ignition on the harness is switched with the ignition) Also confirm you have a good connection to the Headlight circuit by turning the headlights on. The lower LED on the switch should power on.

8 19. Making sure the ignition is off. Make Connections to all accessories if a circuit is not being used, tape the end of the corresponding wire and remove the corresponding fuse from the panel and store. 20. WINCH Switch, locate your handlebar/dash mounted control switch. If you winch contactor is within reach of the black and green wires coming from the back of the winch switch in the switch plate you can make your connections there as well. Depending on which rocker you have purchased from OTRATTW will depend on which way you have to splice the winch control wires. On most (not all) winch contractors there is a green and a black wire that connects to the in/out switch(s). You can match the colors and it might be correct or they might be inverted, it will depend on the rocker text and winding of the winch cable. If it is backwards simply reverse the green and black wiring and it will provide the correct direction. 21. Your done go ride!
