3 Flow Configurations ENV-140 features two inlet and two outlet ports. The additional ports can be used for accessories or sensors. Accessories such as oil accumulators and turbochargers should only be supplied with filtered oil (OUT ports). Some sample configurations are shown below in Figure 1. 4 Mounting the Remote Filter Mount Attach the bracket to the filter mount as shown in Figure 2. Secure the remote filter mount to a sturdy part of the vehicle, such as the frame or firewall, using M8 or 5/16 hardware. Figure 2 - Remote Filter Mount with Bracket Installation Instructions 1. Install the AN adapter fittings and/or plugs into the filter head. Tip: Lubricate the -AN fitting O-rings with engine oil to prevent O-ring damage. Tip: Use aluminum -AN fitting wrenches to avoid damaging the fittings. 2. Secure the filter mount to the vehicle with the mounting bracket provided. Tip: M8 or 5/16 washers and / or flange screws are recommended (not included). 3. Configure and assemble the oiling system lines for the vehicle. 4. If plumbing an oil cooler, fill the cooler with oil prior to connecting the lines. 5. Connect and tighten the system lines. Do not overtighten. Tip: Use aluminum -AN fitting wrenches to avoid damaging the fittings. 6. Refill the engine oiling system and install the oil filter. 4

5 Tip: Pre-fill the oil filter with engine oil and lubricate the oil filter seal with engine oil. 7. Remove the fuel pump fuse(s) or disconnect the ignition circuit. 8. Crank the engine over to build oil pressure. 9. Replace any fuse(s) removed and/or reconnect the ignition circuit. 10. Start the vehicle and inspect for leaks. 11. Turn-off the vehicle and inspect the engine oil level. Add oil if necessary. 12. Re-inspect the oil lines and fittings for leaks after 100 miles of driving. Installation is now complete.
