1 for Certificate No.: IECEx TSA X Issue No.: 3 Conditions of Certification pertaining to Issue 0 of this Certificate: It is a condition of manufacture that the winding of the coil used in the type iea 07 shall: (a) be made of enamel wire of Grade 2 referenced to IEC ; (b) be dried to remove moisture before impregnation by dipping, trickling or vacuum; (c) be carried out impregnation in compliance with impregnation substance manufacturer s instruction; (d) be carried out impregnation and drying process at least twice if the impregnation substance contains solvents; and (e) have winding resistances not less than 51.3 Ω. The assembly includes an enclosure manufactured of anti-static plastic material, with up to seven supply in and supply out leads, a tamper proof cover, a single printed circuit board with terminals for connection of the leads, and encapsulated fuses mounted on the printed circuit board. All the outgoing +12V lines have a fuse of 1 A in series with them. However the control lines do not have any current or voltage limitation between the incoming and outgoing lines, and the various incoming circuits are not segregated from each other. The is meant to be installed in conjunction with a PM4 Solenoid Driver (separately certified under AUSEx 3322X) and Tiefenbach Solenoids iea07 and iea27 (certified under IECEx TSA X). This combination of this Adapter and Solenoid allows the matching of the Solenoid parameters to the Solenoid Driver, and also provides for the switching of the control lines between a couple of the incoming and outgoing cables. At the request of the applicant the Ex code for solenoid iea 27 has been revised from Ex ia I to Ex ib I due to the possible consideration of fault of D1 in the design of iea 27 allowing internal capacitance of one pcb to appear at the input terminals. The iea 27 solenoid may be used for Ex ia applications too, but with a Ci of 1.34 µf in that case. This variation has been assessed in report 29989A (AU/TSA/ExTR /00). (2) Addition of solenoids iea22/1a and iea33/1rsl to the range of solenoids. Both types have single solenoids. The type iea22/1a has a constant current drain when powered, while the iea33/1rsl reduces the current drawn after the initial starting current.
