Multitank combines many features of plastic drums and IBC containers, so it s not complicated to use it, just a little bit different. Multitank is a new, modern container that is going to improve the way that your products are packaged, stored and transported. For many years, the standard bulk packaging for products in brine, was plastic drums. But nowadays, drums do no longer meet the current requirements the food industry demands. 3 Multitank TM Basic Parts Multitank consists of 2 basic parts: BD-420 body and the ML-420 main lid. On the BD 420 body you can find fitted the following items: FP-420 VC-420 CG x Feet Plugs fitted in the body 1 x Valve Cap 2 fitted in the drain/ discharge hole 1 x 2 gasket fitted in the VC-420 valve cap BD-420 Multitank Body All Multitanks have a 2 drain/ discharge closed hole with an integrated BSB thread. According to the customer s needs we can modify the closed hole and make it an integrated filter. If the body is filled with liquid prior to putting the main lid, the elasticity will cause a small deformation in the rim of the tank and it will be difficult to put the main lid in the rim of the body. After applying and securing the lids, control often the height of the brine. Multitank s capacity is almost double than the drum and it needs a little more time in order to balance the height of the brine. Page 5

6 Multitank TM Safety We tried to make Multitank the safest reusable packaging material for liquids. Multitank is completely secured with 22 locking pins making it watertight and airtight. 8 Multitank TM Storage In static storage, 3 Multitanks can be safely stored one above the other ensuring 75% less storage space. We do not recommend storing 3 Multitanks filled with product, one above the other outdoors when the temperature is above 40 degrees. When storing empty nested tanks, put on the top one or more lids in order to prevent rainwater coming inside the tank. We recommend not to nest more than 12 empty Multitank bodies one inside the other and more than 39 main lids on top of one another. The main lids should be put on a pallet in order not to get in contact with the ground. Page 8

9 Multitank TM Emptying You can empty Multitank using our hydraulic dumper MultiDumper or the MultiTipper system that can be applied in every forklift. 1. Unlock the locking pins and put them in the special pin holders on the round lid. 2. Remove the Main Lid and put it away. 3. Carry Multitank to the Multi Dumper or the Multi Tipper 4. Empty Note. Before emptying you can unscrew the Valve cap a little and empty all or part of the brine. MultiDumper MultiTipper Multitank TM Cleaning Cleaning takes place using water pressure machines or our MultiWasher, a custom made washing machine that can wash Multitank s body and the main lid simultaneously. The rest of the items are washed manually. Multitank s material is resistant to the detergents that are commonly used by the factories in the food industry. High pressure water system Multitank TM Maintenance / Guarantee MultiWasher Before the use, check if the gaskets are in good condition, if the locking pins are all in place and the valve cap is correctly applied. Multitank offers a 2 year guarantee for all its parts and free of charge replacement of used gaskets as well as replacement of missing pins, vent caps and valve caps. Page 9
