4 SITEWORK SYSTEMS SWS # 94 8/5/2016 TX1000 Front Covers The gear pump may contact the front cover. Below is showing the change in the covers. Front cover Rev B has a larger opening for additional clearance for the gear pump. If the cover or Rev A has been modified to gain clearance or the pump is not contacting the front cover, the cover will not need to be replaced Front Cover All models of the TX1000 utilized the same front cover with serial number. This cover was vented. Rev A Front Cover This front cover was redesigned with the vents removed for the TX serial number. This cover was introduced at different serial numbers per the model. If the outside diameter of the pump housing is 5.56 (14cm) it considered be Rev A version. Rev B Front Cover This front cover was redesigned with a larger opening on the TX serial number. This cover was introduced at different serial numbers per the model. If the outside diameter of the pump housing is 6.36 (16.2cm) it considered be Rev B version. Page 4 of 4

Set the parking brake (box B of Figure 1). 3. Lower the lift arms (box C of Figure 1). 4. Shut off the engine and remove the key (box D of Figure 1). 6 Disconnecting the Battery Important: When disconnecting the battery cables, always disconnect the negative terminal first and the positive last. Reconnect positive first and negative last. 1. For models with a battery-disconnect switch, open the hood and turn the battery-disconnect switch to the OFF position (box A of Figure 2). 2. For 2015 models, open the hood, remove the battery cover, and disconnect the battery cables (box B of Figure 2). Figure 2 2

10 1 Preparing the Machine Parts needed for this procedure: 1 Left template 1 Right template Preparing the Loader Arms 1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the loader arms, set the parking brake, shut off the engine, and remove the key from the ignition switch. 2. Remove any attachments on the machine. 3. Remove and retain the spacers, hose plates, and bolts that secure the hydraulic hoses to the loader arms (Figure 1). 1. Pin Figure 2 6. Attach a hoist to the location shown in Figure 3 and carefully lift the loader arm assembly up and forward. Figure 3 1. Lift the loader arm assembly this direction. 2. Attach the hoist here. 3. Wood block Figure 1 1. Bolt 3. Spacer 2. Hose plate 4. Hoses 7. Once the lower links are free from the assembly, lift the loader arms until they are past the frame. 4. Move the hoses off the loader arms. 5. Remove the nut and bolt securing the pins in the left and right lower links on the loader arm assembly and remove the pins (Figure 2). Note: The lower links can move up with the loader arm assembly when raised without the pins. Place a wood block between the frame and lower link before lifting the arms or prepare to capture the lower link before it falls (Figure 3). Do not use your hands to support or catch the lower link once it is free from the assembly. 2

11 Drilling the Holes 1. Tape the templates to corresponding sides of the machine (Figure 4). Figure 4 1. Left template and wear pad 2. Align the wear pads to the template and mark the wear pad holes onto the template. 3. Drill holes (13/64-inch diameter) at the locations that you marked. Tap threads in the holes (1/4-inch diameter, 20 threads per inch). Note: The holes on the template exist only as a reference. 4. Drill a hole (11/16-inch diameter) in the connect arm plate of the left and right loader arms at the location shown in Figure 5. Note: You may need to drill multiple times to achieve the desired hole size. Figure 5 Inside of right arm shown 1. Connect-arm plate cm (1 inch) 2. Drill here cm (0.83 inch) 5. If necessary, grind the edge of the connect-arm plate at the location shown in Figure 6 to increase the clearance between the machine frame and loader arm. Figure 6 Right arm shown 1. Grind this edge. 6. Clean all metal shavings from the machine and paint exposed metal. 3

Bolt (1/4 x 3/8 inch) 3. Wear pad 2. Bolt (1/4 x 5/8 inch) Procedure 1. Install a hex-socket bolt, guide, washer, and locknut in each hole that you drilled in the loader arms (Figure 7). Add thread locking compound to the bolts in the kit and use them to install the left and right wear pads to the machine (Figure 8 or Figure 9). Note: If the wear pads have 6 holes, use only 4 bolts (1/4 x 3/8 inch) and 8 bolts (1/4 x 5/8 inch). If the wear pads have 12 holes, use all 6 bolts (1/4 x 3/8 inch) and 10 bolts (1/4 x 5/8 inch); you will not use all the holes in the wear pad. 4

13 3 Completing the Installation 4. Completely lower the loader arms. 5. Install the hoses and hardware that you removed in Preparing the Loader Arms (page 2) as shown in Figure 12. No Parts Required Procedure 1. Lower the loader arms so that the holes align with the holes in the lower links when you lift up the lower links (Figure 10). Do not rest the loader arms against the frame. Note: You may need to lower and lift the loader arms multiple times to be able to line up the holes. Figure Bolt 3. Spacer 2. Hose plate 4. Pin Figure Install the bolt and nut that you removed in Preparing the Loader Arms (page 2) to secure the pin. 5
