3 SPECIFICATIONS FOR DOUBLE CAB FOUR WHEEL DRIVE 1.0 General The four wheel drive brand new double cab shall conform to the Motor Traffic Act of Sri Lanka. The vehicle should be forward control and right hand driven type. The make of the vehicle offered shall be well known and the offered vehicle shall be of latest model. The sole agent shall be well established in Sri Lanka with all facilities for after sale services. The sole agent shall ensure the adequate stock of spares and garage/workshop facilities. The vehicle shall be of heavy duty type suitable for use in tropical climate with seating capacity for 05 passengers including driver. The make of the vehicle offered shall have been used in Sri Lanka at least for ten years. 2.0 Engine Four cylinder, radiator water cooled, in-line, overhead valve diesel engine with a displacement not less than 2500 CC and not more than 3200 CC Maximum torque shall be delivered at rpm of engine speed. 3.0 Transmission Manual four wheel drive transmission to suit the rough terrain with five speed forward and a reverse manual synchromesh manual transmission. Floor mounted gear shift and heavy duty single drive clutch plate. 4.0 Steering Hydraulic power assisted steering system with tilt steering column and steering lock. 5.0 Suspension At front independent double wishbone, torsion bar with telescopic type shock absorbers and at rear semi elliptic leaf springs with telescopic type shock absorbers. 6.0 Brakes Servo assisted front ventilated discs and rear self adjusting drum brakes with parking brake. 7.0 Wheels 8.0 Seats At least 15 inches pressed steel single wheels for front, rear and spare wheel. Tyres shall be radial type with suitable thread pattern without locking ring for rough terrain. An identical spare wheel (with tyre) with fixing arrangements shall be provided. The driver s seat and front passenger seat must be separated, adjustable and reclining, factory fitted bucket type seats to give firm grip. All seats shall be of fabric finished and all interior exposed parts shall be suitably upholstered. 1

4 9.0 Body Robust body suitable for rugged use with four lockable doors and tail gate. Weather protected front and rear bumpers, the cab guard and protective side body mouldings shall be provided. The rear tray shall be suitably painted with corrosion preventive material Fuel Tank Minimum capacity of 70 litres with lockable filling cap Standard Fittings The vehicle shall have the following standard fittings. 1. Air conditioner with 3 speed blower (factory fitted) 2. FM full range Radio MHz) and Stereo type cassette or CD player with antenna. 3. Clock 4. front seat belts 5.
