Every 000th hours: In addition to extended inspections according to items and, inspect and perform maintenance, if any, according to items 3 and 4. Check that the shock absorber does not leak oil. Replace if there is any leakage. Inspection instructions. Check that the seat adjustments work and that the belt elements are undamaged. There is a risk of being pinned if the protective bellow is missing If the recommended maintenance is not adhered to, then Be-Ge Industri AB reserve the right to limit any warranty or compensation claims A. Remove blocking objects, if any. B. If any adjustment does not work - see item 4-6. If any damage on any belt part then the whole belt kit, see item 9.. Check that the seat retains its adjusted height and that its spring action is satisfactory. A. Check for availability of intake air and for leakage in the air connection. (See item 7.) B. Check that the height limiter is released. 3. Check the bolts and frame fastening of the seat. A. Check for loose bolts. B. Check the seat fastening to the floorpan or the frame. If the seatback does not keep position and does not keep the positioned angle, then the friction washer in the backrest switch needs to be adjusted Nm A. Loosen the wheel () and tighten the locking nut () with dynamometric 5-0 Nm towards the plastic friction washer (3). B. The wheel is then tightened towards the locking nut. Hold the locking nut with a wrench in order to keep the dynamometric towards the friction washer. C. In order to avoid that the shaft rotates, tighten the wheel on the opposite side in the same way as above. Appliances to 4. and 4.: Slotted chisel Box wrench 7 mm* Allen wrench 5 mm U-nyckel mm Dynamometric wrench * (max. thickness of 6mm) 4. If the backrest have to much play. To much play between the backrest and seat is avoided by mounting an excenter washer. A. Loosen the means of attachment to the armrest on the left side. B. Loosen the protective bellow by taking away the plastic rivets on the backside of the seat, then fold down the protective bellow. See item 8.A. C. Loosen the backrests both socket head cap bolts and the seats left side. Mount the excenter washer on the front bolt and adjust the excenter washer to the required adjustment according to sketch. If further adjustment is required, then one more excenter washer can be mounted according to the above but with opposite direction of rotation in relation to the one on the left side. If the seat cushions tilt function does not keep positioned angle or have to much play, then the seat base needs to be exchanged. This is a qualified measure of service and should be performed by experienced service personnel in a workshop. 6. Check of the shock absorber. If the shock absorber does not work in a satisfied way, make noise or leak, then it should be exchanged. A. In order to reach the shock absorber () the driver seat should be taken out of the vehicle, armrest and back should be dismantled and the trim together with the foam should be taken off. See item 8 and 0. B. Loosen the shock absorbers fastening bolts and nuts then change the shock absorber. If the shock absorber does not fulfil the required absorption then there is a possibility to mount one more shock absorber on the opposite scissors side on the prepared fastening points. If the air valve () is defect then this needs to be replaced. Dismantling of seat cushion Before dismantling, the live wire to the electrical heating must be disconnected (). 3 Be-Ge 730 C4 Basic is without seat cushion extension. 730 Airvent Be-Ge 730 C4 Airvent has seat cushion extension. A. The protective bellow is to be taken off by loosen the plastic rivets (). 5 B. Be-Ge 730 C4 Basic: Unhook the trims fastening strap (3) from the seat frame (4) and then take away the trimming. Be-Ge 730 C4 Airvent: Separate the extension from the seat by opening the zipper. Unhook the trims fastening strap (3) from the seat frame (4) and then take away the trimming. Loosen the frame for the extension by opening the clips (4.). 4 C. Lift away the seat foam (5). Please note that the heating element is glued onto the seat foam. Caution should be taken if the seat foam is to be exchanged but the heating element is re-used or the other way. 7 Be-Ge 730 C4 Basic / Airvent (8) 9. Replacing the safety belt. A. Loosen the fastening bolts to the belt anchorage () and buckle unit (). B. When the new safety belt is mounted, all the bolts should be tightened with a dynamometric of 4 Nm. (Tolerance +/- 5%) 0. Replacing the seatback. A. Dismantle the safety belt and armrest according service point 9. B. The new seatback is easily mounted by mounting the front socket head cap bolts before the rear bolts. C. The rear bolts are tightened with 4 Nm and the front bolts with 35 Nm.
