2 INTRODUCTION USING THIS GUIDE This guide has been developed to assist you in consistently delivering memorable customer centered handovers. This guide should be used in conjunction with the appropriate Customer Personalization Record and Handover Record. Whenever you handover a new vehicle, in addition to demonstrating its features, there are some other key items that are critical in terms of ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. These items are marked with a red flag to highlight their significance. You should take time to familiarize yourself with these features, and be prepared to comprehensively demonstrate them at the point of handover. BEFORE DEMONSTRATING VEHICLE FEATURES Before demonstrating vehicle features, make the customer aware of the location and layout of the Owner's Handbook and identify the supporting booklets provided. Please note that the Owner's Handbook is based on vehicles built to the highest level of specification and may describe features or options not fitted to their specific vehicle. Customers can also download the iguide app from the Apple App store, and Google Play store. The iguide app uses the latest augmented reality technology to explain all the need-to-know features and controls of the vehicle. The iguide app also doubles as a mobile Owner's Handbook, ensuring customers always have the answers to any questions they may have. SMART KEY - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Smart key operation: 1. Lock: Lock: Press to lock. The alarm arms. 2. Unlock: Single-point entry: Press once to unlock the driver's door only. A second press unlocks all of the doors and the tailgate. Multi-point entry: Press once to unlock all of the doors and the tailgate. 6

Use the emergency key if the smart key and keyless entry fail. When the battery needs replacing, the instrument panel displays Smart Key Battery Low. Keyless entry: Grip and pull the door handle. Front storage compartment. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Tailgate operation: 1. Press to open, stop, reverse direction, or close the tailgate. 2. Press to close or stop movement of the tailgate. 7

8 EXTERIOR Note: The tailgate buttons on the smart key and on the driver's side of the dashboard can also be used. Setting a maximum opening height: 1. Press button any tailgate release button to open the tailgate. 2. Once the required height is reached, press a button again to stop the tailgate. 3. After 3 seconds, press button 1 to set the height. Gesture tailgate hands-free operation: 1. Make sure that the surrounding area is not slippery or unstable. 2. Perform a smooth kick and return gesture below one of the two sensor areas. Note: The smart key must be within 1.2 m of the tailgate. Front luggage compartment: Use the smart key to gain access to the front luggage compartment. See 6, SMART KEY - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. WHEEL CHANGING - AND Location of the tools and information required for changing a wheel or repairing a tire. 8

9 EXTERIOR WHEEL CHANGING - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Temporary-use spare wheel, tool kit, and jack point locations: 1. Spare wheel. 2. Tool kit. 3. Jack points: Two on either side of the vehicle. Tire repair system: Located under the luggage compartment floor panel. 1. Luggage compartment. 2. Compressor. 3. Sealant bottle. The warnings contained within the Owner's Handbook must be read and observed before changing a wheel. ACTIVITY KEY - AND Activity key operation. Including: Locking the vehicle using the activity key. Unlocking the vehicle using the activity key. 9

10 EXTERIOR ACTIVITY KEY - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Activity key locking: 1. Place the activity key, as shown. 2. The vehicle locks and arms the alarm. 3. The hazard warning lights flash, and power-fold mirrors fold inward, confirming the locked status. Activity key unlocking: 1. Press the tailgate release button. See 7, LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 2. Place the activity key, as shown. 3. The vehicle unlocks and disarms. 4. The hazard warning lights flash, and power-fold mirrors fold outward, confirming the unlocked status. Can be used to lock/unlock and arm/disarm the vehicle, while leaving the smart key inside the vehicle. Note: Any smart keys left inside the vehicle are disabled. To be used when participating in activities, e.g., swimming. The key is worn on the wrist and does not require being stored safely. The key is waterproof up to 30m and shockproof. To operate correctly: The vehicle's electrical system must be switched off. All of the doors must be closed. The antenna is active for 30 seconds after exiting the vehicle or pressing the tailgate release button. 10

Bolster inflate and deflate. 3. Lumbar support adjustment. Press the top of the button to raise the lumbar support. Press the bottom of the button to lower the lumbar support. Press the front of the button to inflate the lumbar support. Press the rear of the button to deflate the lumbar support. 4. Seatback angle. 5. Seat height. 6. Forward and rearward position. 7. Press the (M) button. 2. Press one of the preset buttons within 5 seconds to store the settings. Recalling a memorised setting: Press the relevant preset button. A message displays in the instrument panel to confirm the settings have been recalled, and the seat moves to the saved position for that preset. CHILD SAFETY LOCKS - AND Functionality and operation of the child safety locks feature. CHILD SAFETY LOCKS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS AND Activating the child door locks: Press the button located on the driver's door to inhibit use of the rear interior door handles and windows. The LED indicator illuminates and the instrument panel displays a message to confirm activation. Press again to switch off the rear door and window inhibitors. The LED indicator extinguishes and the instrument panel displays a message to confirm deactivation. 12

13 INTERIOR SEAT ANCHORAGES - AND Child seat fitment. SEAT ANCHORAGES - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Fitment of LATCH child seats: 1. Locate the recess at the bottom of the LATCH anchor point removable covers. To access an anchor point, lightly pull the cover forward to release. remove the cover. 2. Slide the child seat's locking mechanism onto the anchor points. Note: Always make sure that if an upper tether is provided, it is fitted and tightened correctly. Note: For child seats wioth a support leg, adjust the leg so that it rests firmly on the floor. Fitment of tether anchorage child seats: 1. Raise the head restraint. 2. Pass the tether strap over the seatback, between the head restraint and the top of the seat. 3. Securely attach the tether strap to the anchor point. Note: Tether straps must be tightened following the manufacturer's instructions. The security of any child seats must be checked. 13

14 INTERIOR A list of recommended child seats is given in the Owner's Handbook. CLEAR EXIT DETECTION - AND Operation and functionality of the Clear Exit Detection feature. CLEAR EXIT DETECTION - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Demonstrate Clear Exit Detection operation: 1. Illuminates white to indicate that the system is active. 2. Illuminates amber to warn when another vehicle, or moving object, is detected approaching from behind. Clear Exit Detection operational information: Does not prevent the door from being opened. Warns of a possible threat when preparing to open a rear door from the inside. When a hand approaches an interior rear door handle, the clear exit detection icons activate. Only active below the vehicle speed of 3 mph (5 km/h) and remains active for 3 minutes after the vehicle s electrical system is switched off. When Clear Exit Detection does not work: Vehicles approach very quickly from behind. The sensors are impaired by mud, rain, frost, ice, snow, damage, accessories or stickers. The range of the sensors is obscured by objects, such as other vehicles parked particularly wide or close to your vehicle. 14

15 ELECTRIC VEHICLE VEHICLE CHARGING - AND Vehicle charging operation. Including: 1. Charging failure. 2. Charging port location. 3. Connecting a charging cable. 4. Charging indicators. 5. Disconnecting a charging cable. 6. Charging cable emergency release. VEHICLE CHARGING - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Do not use an extension lead or multiple socket in order to extend the reach of a charging cable. Serious damage to the extension cable and the property may occur. Charging failure: Failure to charge is identified via: Messages in the instrument panel and touchscreen. Charging port indicators. Charging cable indicators. Failure to charge could be caused by: A vehicle battery fault. A high voltage cooling system fault. A fault with the electricity supply to the vehicle. Charging port location: When charging an electric vehicle, always make sure that the charging cable is fully unwound. Failure to fully unwind the charging cable could lead to overheating of the cable. With the vehicle unlocked, open the charging port flap to gain access to the charging port. If using the DC charge port remove the cap. 1. Charging port flap. 2. Charging port indicator label. 3. Charging port LEDs. 4. DC charging port cap. For DC charging only. 5. Charging cable. Connecting a charging cable: To prepare the vehicle: 15

16 ELECTRIC VEHICLE 1. Unlock the vehicle. 2. Make sure Park (P) is selected. 3. Make sure the vehicle s electrical system is switched off. 4. Open the charging port flap, if using the DC charge port remove the cap. To connect a charging cable to the vehicle at home: 1. Plug in the domestic connector to the electricity supply. 2. Connect the charging cable to the applicable vehicle charging port. To connect a charging cable to the vehicle at a public charging facility: 1. Connect a public charging cable to the applicable vehicle charging port socket. 2. Follow the instructions on the charging post. The charging cable is locked in position once connected. Charging indicators: A charging LED on the side of the charging port flashes to inform the user of charging status as follows: White briefly to confirm vehicle charging has been initialised. Blue for 10 seconds to indicate a timed charging event has been set. The charging process will begin at a later time. Green for 10 seconds to indicate charging has started. Solid green for 10 seconds to indicate that charging is complete. Red for 30 seconds to indicate a charging fault. Disconnecting a charging cable: To disconnect a charging cable: 1. Make sure the charging cable is unlocked from the charging port. Note: The charging cable can be unlocked using the smart key. 2. If the charging cable is fitted with a release button: Press the release button, and disconnect the charging cable from the vehicle. Note: Always disconnect the charging cable from the vehicle first. 3. Replace the DC charging port cap and fully close the charging flap. 4. Remove the domestic connector from the electricity supply. Charging cable emergency release: Before opening the bonnet, make sure that the vehicle's electrical system is switched off and the smart key is removed from the vehicle. Failure to do so can potentially result in serious injury or death. If the charging cable does not release, open the bonnet. Pull the emergency release ring, adjacent to the charge port. A home charging cable is supplied with the vehicle. The home charging cable should be stored in its carry bag when not in use. Make sure the carry bag tether straps are secured to the luggage anchor points when the vehicle is travelling. In the event of long term storage, make sure to charge the battery every 30 days. 16

To adjust the departure time, touch the following: 1. Time: Up or down. 2. Once only: To select a single event. 17

Delete all departures. MY ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) - AND My electric vehicle (EV) operation. MY ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Select My EV from the touchscreen s EXTRA FEATURES menu. The My EV screen displays: 1. Vehicle image: The current charge level of the high voltage battery. Green rings beneath the vehicle: Vehicle is plugged in. 18

19 ELECTRIC VEHICLE Blue: Timed charging. Charging is paused to benefit from preferred charging period. Red: Charging fault. 2. The next scheduled departure time. See 17, VEHICLE PRECONDITIONING CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 3. The remaining charge time to achieve full charge. 4. Settings icon: Allows access to the vehicle creep and regenerative braking settings. 5. Driving range icon: Indicates the predicted driving distance that the vehicle can travel with the current charge level. Swipe left to access the energy flow and range screen The displayed information consists of: 1. Energy flow. Blue flows indicate the consumption of electrical energy. Green flows show energy recharging the high voltage battery. 2. Low power mode icon: Touch to select or deselect the low power mode feature. Low power mode: The low power mode feature reduces energy consumption, and can be used when there is a risk of insufficient driving range before reaching a charging station. To manually select or deselect the low power mode feature, touch the low power mode icon, from the ENERGY menu screen. Low power mode performance: The cabin heating and cooling is switched off. Note: Fresh air circulation and demisting systems continue to operate. The heated seats and steering wheel are switched off. The current media source is paused and the sound system is muted. The touchscreen is switched off. Note: If required, press the touchscreen to switch it on for a limited period of time. The Head-Up Display (HUD) system is switched off. The accelerator pedal is adjusted to limit high rates of acceleration. The suspension settings are adjusted for low energy consumption, superseding comfort settings. ELECTRIC VEHICLE - AND Operation and functionality of the electric vehicle: 19

20 ELECTRIC VEHICLE ELECTRIC VEHICLE - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Electric vehicle components: 1. Charging port. 2. High voltage battery. 3. Front electric motor. 4. Rear electric motor. Driving an electric vehicle: 1. D (Drive): Press to drive the vehicle forward. Note: The electric vehicle system does not have multiple forward driving gears. 2. N (Neutral): Press to stop propulsion energy being supplied to the vehicle s driveline system. 3. R (Reverse): Press to drive the vehicle backward. Note: The vehicle must be stationary with the brake pedal pressed, before R can be selected. 4. P (Park): Press when Park is required. Vehicle creep: The vehicle creep feature can be switched on or off, as follows: 1. With the vehicle stationary, select P. 2. Touch the settings icon from the ENERGY menu screen. 3. Touch the My EV settings soft key. 4. Select the required Off or On soft key from the Vehicle creep menu options. Regenerative braking: The default level of regenerative braking can be configured as follows: 20

21 ELECTRIC VEHICLE 1. Touch the settings icon from the MY ELECTRIC VEHICLE menu screen 2. Touch the My EV settings soft key. 3. Select the required Low or High soft key from the Regenerative Braking menu option. Electric vehicle introduction: 1. The electric vehicle is propelled using two electric motors. 2. The electric motors require energy supplied via the vehicle's high voltage battery. 3. The high voltage battery requires recharging using an external source. See 15, VEHICLE CHARGING - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 4. Regenerative braking is used to recover energy and charge the high voltage battery. Electric vehicle safety: 1. The high voltage system is insulated from the vehicle. 2. The high voltage system is protected from the environment. 3. Access is prevented to unqualified personnel. Acoustic vehicle alert system (AVAS): Automatically emits an external synthesized sound to enable pedestrians to be audibly aware of the vehicle s presence. Only operates when the vehicle is driven at speeds of less than 20 km/h (12 mph). If the vehicle detects an AVAS system fault, the instrument panel displays a warning message. If the fault persists, consult a retailer/authorised repairer. Increase range potential: Excess weight in the vehicle reduces energy economy. A correctly inflated tyre reduces the rolling resistance of the vehicle. Drive with the windows closed to reduce the vehicle s air resistance. Limit the use of vehicle features to improve energy economy. Avoiding heavy braking can help increase energy recovered through regenerative braking. Smooth and gradual acceleration improves energy economy. Maintain an appropriate average speed to improve energy economy. Set a departure time to precondition the cabin temperature and the high voltage battery to its optimum operating temperature when charging the vehicle via an external charging station. Electric vehicle range prediction: The electric vehicle driving range is displayed via: The instrument panel. The CHARGING and ENERGY menu screens. The RANGE IMPACT menu screen. Many factors can affect the electric vehicle driving range: Current charge level of the high voltage battery. Driving style. Current temperature of the high voltage battery. Energy consumption of vehicle features that are currently switched on. Route characteristics, including road gradients and speed limits. Vehicle creep performance: The vehicle automatically moves from a standstill when the brake pedal is released. Vehicle creep will only operate if: Vehicle creep feature is switched on. The electric motors are running. D or R is selected. The vehicle's braking system is released. Regenerative braking: Regenerative braking occurs when the vehicle is moving and the accelerator pedal is released. 21

22 ELECTRIC VEHICLE The low setting provides a level of deceleration that is similar to combustion engine powered vehicles. The high setting provides a higher level of deceleration, compared to the low setting, due to an increase in the regenerative braking applied. Switch the vehicle creep feature off to allow the vehicle to decelerate to a complete stop, with the accelerator pedal released. Electric vehicle warning messages: If the instrument panel displays an electric vehicle system related critical warning message, a critical message warning lamp illuminates and an audible tone also sounds. Consult the Owner's Handbook for a list of the critical warning messages and the required actions. 22

23 STARTING AND DRIVING STARTING THE VEHICLE - AND Starting the vehicle. Including: Starting the vehicle's electrical system. Starting the electric motor. Start backup. STARTING THE VEHICLE - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Starting the vehicle's electrical system: 1. Press and hold the START/STOP button. Do not press the brake pedal. 2. Release the button once the instrument panel warning lamps illuminate. Starting the electric motor: 1. With (P) selected, press the brake pedal. 2. Press and release the START/STOP button. 3. Once the electric motor starts, release the brake pedal when it is safe to do so. A valid smart key must be inside the vehicle and not shielded by metal casing or a device with a back-lit LCD screen. Starting an electric vehicle is not possible if it is plugged into a charging point and charging. Start backup: If the vehicle is unlocked using the emergency key blade, or the smart key is not detected: 1. Position the smart key against the underside of the steering column. 2. Press and hold the brake pedal. 3. Press and release the STOP/START button. 4. Once the electric motor starts, release the brake pedal when it is safe to do so. ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE (EPB) - AND Operation and functionality of the Electric Parking Brake (EPB). 23

24 STARTING AND DRIVING ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE (EPB) - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Electric Parking Brake (EPB) operation: With the vehicle's electrical system switched on: 1. Press the brake pedal and pull out the EPB release switch. 2. Push the EPB switch. A warning lamp illuminates to confirm application. Note: The red EPB warning lamp remains illuminated for 10 seconds after the vehicle's electrical system has been switched off. Note: To prevent automatic operation when the vehicle is stationary, pull out the EPB switch to the release position before selecting Park (P). Note: Automatically applies if the vehicle's electrical system is switched off with the vehicle traveling at less than 2 mph (3km/h) or P is selected. The EPB automatically applies when P is selected. Driving with the EPB applied causes serious damage to the braking system. SPEED LIMITER - AND Operation and functionality of the speed limiter. SPEED LIMITER - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Speed limiter operation: 1. Speed limiter: The amber speed limiter icon illuminates when speed limiter is selected. Remains in stand-by mode until activated. 2. Cancel/adaptive speed limiter toggle: Press and release to suspend operation. Press and hold to switch between speed limiter and adaptive speed limiter. 3. Speed increase: Move and release the speed control switch to activate and set the current speed as the limit. Once activated, press and release to increase the set speed by 1 mph (2 km/h). Move and hold to increase by 5 mph (10km/h). 4. Speed decrease: Move and release the speed control switch to decrease the set speed by 1 mph (2 km/h). Move and hold to decrease by 5 mph (10 km/h). 5. Resume: Press to resume to the previous set speed. 24

25 STARTING AND DRIVING Allows for a maximum speed limit to be manually set. The driver is responsible for maintaining a safe speed, within the speed limit. Adaptive speed limiter operation: 1. Speed limiter/cruise control: The amber adaptive speed limiter icon illuminates when the system is selected. Remains in stand-by mode until activated. 2. Cancel/speed limiter toggle: Press and release to suspend operation. Press and hold to switch between the speed limiter and adaptive speed limiter. 3. Speed increase: Press and release the speed control switch to increase the vehicle's speed to 1 mph (2 km/h) above the detected speed limit. Move and hold to increase by 5 mph (10 km/h). 4. Speed decrease: Press and release the speed control switch to decrease the speed to 1 mph (2 km/h) below the detected speed limit. Move and hold to decrease by 5 mph (10 km/h). 5. Acceleration/deceleration: Press to increase the rate of acceleration/deceleration required to meet the detected limit. Automatically sets and restricts the maximum vehicle speed to the detected speed limit, based on information from the traffic sign recognition and navigation systems. See 29, DRIVING DISPLAYS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS and 44, NAVIGATION - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Detected speed limits are displayed in the instrument panel and Head-Up Display (HUD). See 41, INSTRUMENT PANEL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS and 29, DRIVING DISPLAYS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. If a valid speed limit cannot be detected, the adaptive speed limiter deactivates and the speed limiter activates. CRUISE CONTROL - AND Operation and functionality of the cruise control system. CRUISE CONTROL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS 1. LIM: Press to enable cruise control. 2. CANCEL: Press to cancel cruise control. 3. SET+: Press to set current speed. Subsequent presses increase the set speed by 1 mph (2 km/h). 4. -: Press to lower the set speed by 1 mph (2 km/h). 5. RES: Press to resume the previous set speed. The driver is responsible for maintaining a safe speed, within the speed limit. Not to be used in heavy traffic situations or on roads where a constant speed cannot be safely maintained. ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Adaptive cruise control and follow mode operation: 1. CANCEL: Press to cancel follow mode, but retain the set speed in the memory. 2. RES: Press to resume to the previous set speed. 3. Follow mode gap decrease: Move switch 2 downward and release to decrease. Note: When follow mode is switched off, the adaptive cruise control system does not provide any braking. The driver must apply the brakes, if required. 4. Lane Keep Assist (LKA): See 30, DRIVING AIDS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 5. Speed decrease: Move switch 2 downward and release to decrease the set speed. 6. Follow mode gap increase: Move switch 2 upward and release to increase. 7. Speed increase: Move switch 2 upward and release to increase the set speed. 8. Adaptive cruise control: The cruise control icon illuminates when adaptive cruise control is selected. The system is in stand-by mode until activated. Adaptive cruise control and follow mode: Monitors the lane ahead. If a slower vehicle is ahead, the system automatically adjusts the speed so that the set follow mode gap is adhered to. Not to be used in heavy traffic situations or on roads where a constant speed cannot be safely maintained. The driver can intervene, at any time, by use of the accelerator or brake pedals. The amount of braking force applied by the system is limited. The driver must apply the brake pedal if the message DRIVER INTERVENE is displayed. Limitations of operation are listed in the Owner's Handbook. Queue assist: Works in conjunction with adaptive cruise control and follow mode. Operates at lower speeds and follows the vehicle ahead to a standstill. To be used in slow-moving lines of traffic. Forward alert: Can be switched on and off via the Driver assistance menu. See 41, INSTRUMENT PANEL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Monitors the area in front of the vehicle and sends audible and visual warnings to the driver if an object is detected. The driver is responsible for taking the appropriate action. The sensitivity of the system can be adjusted via buttons 3 and 6. Stop and go: 26

27 STARTING AND DRIVING Follows a targeted vehicle down to a standstill. Automatically accelerates away from a standstill. A short press of the accelerator pedal is required if not all system requirements are met. Steering assist: Helps keep the vehicle in the centre of the lane. When active the instrument panel displays the steering system status. If the driver removes their hands from the steering wheel, visible and audible warnings are emitted. If the warnings are ignored, steering assistance stops. TIRES - AND Tire care. Tire pressure label location. Checking the tire pressures. Tire replacement. TIRES - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Tire care: All tire pressures must be checked regularly for damage, wear, and distortion. If unsure about the condition, contact a tire repair center or retailer/authorized repairer. The maximum pressure stated on the sidewall of the tire must not be exceeded. It is recommended to check the tire pressures when the tires are cold. Tire replacement: Only a retailer/authorized repairer must remove the tires and fit replacement tires. The tires must not be rotated. It is recommended that all replacement tires are of the same specification as the original tires. Tire pressure label: The label shows the recommended pressures for light load and full load conditions. Checking the tire pressures: 1. Remove the valve cap from the tire. 2. Attach the inflation hose. 3. Read the pressure from the gauge and add air, if required. 4. Remove and reattach the inflation hose to get an accurate reading of the new pressure. 5. If the pressure is too high, remove the hose and press the center of the valve to release air. 6. Once the correct pressure is reached, replace the valve cap. 27

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Instrument panel tire pressure check: The tire pressures can be viewed via the Vehicle info menu. See 41, INSTRUMENT PANEL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Displays the last known pressure for each tire and the recommended cold inflation pressure in brackets. Can be configured to display as bar, psi, or kpa. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) vehicle load configuration: The TPMS must be configured to correspond with the vehicle's loading conditions and the associated recommended tire pressures: 1. Switch on the vehicle's electrical system on. The electric motor must not be on. See 6, SMART KEY - AND. 2. Select the Vehicle info menu. 3. Select Tire information, followed by TPM load setting. 4. There are two settings: Light and Normal. Light: Up to three occupants. Normal: More than three occupants. 5. Make sure that the tire pressures are correct for the vehicle's current load. The TPMS constantly monitors the pressure in each tire. Illumination of the TPMS warning lamp indicates low pressure. The TPMS does not re-inflate the tires or register any damage. The pressures should still be checked regularly as part of the recommended safety checks. Tires must be replaced by a retailer/authorized repairer to avoid damaging the TPMS valves or sensors. STABILITY CONTROL - AND Operation and functionality of the stability control systems. STABILITY CONTROL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS All Surface Progress Control (ASPC): 28

29 STARTING AND DRIVING 1. Enable/disable: Press and release to enable/disable ASPC. The buttons LED and the ASPC warning lamp illuminate/extinguish to confirm activation/deactivation. Descent control mode: The vehicle applies the brakes to control the vehicle's speed when travelling down a steep hill. Full function mode: Controls the vehicle's speed when making difficult maneuvers, e.g., ascending a steep hill or travelling on unstable/slippery surfaces. Note: The driver's seat belt must be buckled and all of the doors closed. 2. CANCEL: Press to cancel full function mode and enter descent control mode. 3. SET +: Move the control switch up to increase the set speed. 4. -: Move the control switch down to decrease the set speed. 5. RES: Speed control switch. Press to resume the set speed. ASPC: Allows for the vehicle's speed to be set and controlled without any pedal inputs. The driver must maintain full control of the steering and be ready to intervene at all times. Works in both forward and reverse directions. Can be set when the vehicle is in motion or from stationary. Light application of the accelerator or brake pedals overrides the system temporarily. As soon as the pedal is released, the set speed is resumed. Limitations of the system can be found in the relevant section of the Owner's Handbook. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC): Automatically switches on when the vehicle's electrical system is switched on. Helps to maintain vehicle stability in critical driving conditions, such as understeer, oversteer, and when wheel spin is detected. Can be switched on and off. Press and hold the DSC OFF button for more than 3 seconds. The button is located on the centre console. Note: A list of situations where it may be required to switch DSC off is given in the Owner's Handbook. TracDSC: An alternative setting to DSC, with reduced system intervention. Must only be used by experienced drivers, with sufficient skill and training. Must only be selected for dry tarmac surfaces. Switching from DSC to TracDSC: Press and hold the DSC OFF button for less than 3 seconds. AWD: Helps enhance vehicle's traction and stability on uneven and slippery surfaces. Automatically varies the torque between the front and rear axles to suit current driving style and conditions. Note: If an AWD system fault is detected the instrument panel displays a warning message indicating limited vehicle performance. In this event the vehicle can be still driven, but with extra care. If the fault persists, consult a retailer/authorised repairer. DRIVING DISPLAYS - AND Operation and functionality of the traffic sign recognition and Head-Up Display (HUD) features. DRIVING DISPLAYS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Traffic sign recognition: Can be switched on and off via the Driver assistance instrument panel menu. See 41, INSTRUMENT PANEL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 29

30 STARTING AND DRIVING The camera at the rear of the rear-view mirror detects traffic/road signs and displays a corresponding symbol in the instrument panel. Note: The area in front of the camera must be kept clean and free of obstructions. There are three main features: Speed limit detection, speed alert, and no overtaking zone. Speed alert: Additional visual warnings are displayed to warn the driver that the vehicle's speed is at or above the detected speed limit. Speed alert can be set to warn the driver if the vehicle's speed is: Above the detected sign. 5 mph (10 km/h) above the detected sign. 10 mph (20 km/h) above the detected sign. Limitations to performance are listed in the Owner's Handbook. If no signs are detected, speed limit information supplied from the navigation system is displayed. Switching the Head-Up Display (HUD) on/off: 1. From the instrument panel, select Head-Up Display menu. See 41, INSTRUMENT PANEL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 2. Select Enable HUD. 3. Select On or Off. Note: The system may take longer to display in extreme weather conditions. Setting the position of the HUD: 1. Select the Head-Up Display menu. 2. Select Position. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions. 4. Once set, press OK. Driver information is projected onto the inside of the windshield. The Head-Up Display menu also allows the driver to: Adjust the brightness of the display. Select features to be displayed. Follow all on-screen instructions and operate via the left-side steering wheel controls. See 36, STEERING COLUMN AND STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. DRIVING AIDS - AND Operation and functionality of the driving aid systems. DRIVING AIDS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Blind spot monitor with closing vehicle sensing: 1. Vehicle warning icon: Illuminates in the relevant door mirror(s) when a passing or rapidly approaching vehicle is detected. If a turn signal is used, in preparation for a lane change maneuver in that direction, the icon flashes to warn the driver. 30

Blind spot monitor system: Monitors the area adjacent to the vehicle (approximately 8 ft (2.5 m) to either side) and up to 20 ft (6 m) behind. Closing vehicle sensing: Monitors the area adjacent to the vehicle and up to 230 ft (70 m) behind. Blind spot assist: Works in conjunction with the blind spot monitor system. If a maneuver is attempted when a potential collision has been detected, the steering wheel vibrates. Enable/disable via the Driver assistance menu. Forward traffic monitor: Works in conjunction with the surround camera system. Detects vehicles approaching from either side when driving forward out of an intersection/ parking space. The driver must press the camera icon when approaching the intersection/exiting a parking space to activate the system. See 43, TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Note: The system is not autonomous. The driver must remain alert and be ready to intervene, if necessary. The vehicle warning icon illuminates on the relevant side of the touchscreen when a potential side impact is detected. An audible alert also sounds. Note: The touchscreen display, either the camera or parking aid view, depends on which system is currently selected. Touch the camera icon to display camera images from the front/sides of the vehicle. Touch the bird's eye view vehicle graphic to display the parking aid screen. Detected vehicles have a time to collision of 3 seconds. Rear traffic monitor: Works in conjunction with the rear camera system. Detects vehicles approaching from either side that may pose a collision risk when reversing. Enable/disable via the Driver assistance menu. The driver must remain alert and be ready to intervene, if necessary. The vehicle warning icon illuminates on the relevant side of the touchscreen when a potential impact is detected. Note: The touchscreen display, either the camera or parking aid view, depends on which system is currently selected. Touch the camera icon to display a rear-view camera image. Touch the bird's eye view vehicle graphic to display the parking aid screen. Lane departure warning: Switch on/off via the right-side steering wheel controls. See 36, STEERING COLUMN AND STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Tracks the vehicle to make sure that the lane boundaries are not crossed unintentionally. The lane departure warning icon illuminates in the instrument panel when active. The icon changes color to indicate system status: Gray: Lane boundaries are not being tracked. Green: Lane boundaries are being tracked. Red: Lane boundary has been crossed. If the vehicle crosses a lane boundary without use of the appropriate turn signal, the steering wheel also vibrates to alert the driver. Lane Keep Assist (LKA): Works in conjunction with the lane departure warning system. Two options are available if the vehicle is in danger of crossing a lane marking. From the Driver assistance and Lane Keep Assist (LKA) menus, select either: Steering vibrate: The steering wheel vibrates. Steering assist: Applies corrective steering inputs. Emergency lane keeping: 31

32 STARTING AND DRIVING Attempts to provide corrective steering inputs if it determines the vehicle is getting too close to a read edge. Does not perform to its best ability in adverse weather conditions. The system automatically switches on every time the vehicle is switched on. Driver condition monitor: Audible and visual warnings are given if the system evaluates that the driver is fatigued, based on driving technique. If the driver ignores the initial warnings, the white driver condition monitor icon changes to amber and another audible alert is given after 15 minutes. The icon remains illuminated until the OK button on the steering wheel controls is pressed. Enable/disable via the Driver assistance menu. Note: Limitations to performance of the driving aids systems are listed in the relevant sections of the Owner's Handbook. DRIVING MODES - AND Operation and functionality of the driving modes. DRIVING MODES - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Driving mode operation: 1. Use the buttons on the center console to scroll through the driving modes. 2. The instrument panel displays the driving mode options. 3. The relevant driving mode icon illuminates, and a confirmation message appears to confirm selection. Dynamic mode: Delivers a more dynamic driving experience. Comfort mode: Reverts the vehicle's systems to the normal driving settings. ECO mode: Helps to reduce energy consumption and increase the driving range. Some vehicle features are automatically adjusted to achieve this, e.g., heated/climate seats. 34 STARTING AND DRIVING PARKING AIDS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS AND Park assist: 1. Accesses the park assist pop-up menu. Disables park assist when the system is active. 2. Parallel park selection. 3. Perpendicular park selection. 4. Select to exit the parking space. Note: Only operates when exiting a parallel parking space. Note: The driver must use the turn signals to signal which side the vehicle needs to exit from. 5. Cancels the selected park assist maneuver. Assists with parking maneuvers. Auto-searching only activates at speeds of less than 18 mph (30 km/h). A 1.6 ft to 4.9 ft (0.5 m to 1.5 m) gap must be maintained between the vehicle and the row of parked vehicles when searching. Automatically searches for parking spaces on the passenger side. To search on the driver's side, the driver must indicate to turn in that direction. The driver must maintain full control of the accelerator and brake pedals. Holding or turning the steering wheel cancels the maneuver. Parking aid: 1. Accesses the settings menu. Allows for various parking aid features to be switched on and off. 2. Enables/disables the system. 34

Camera view selection: Rear camera: Displays a rear-view camera image. Surround camera: Various views can be selected, including a 360 view. 6. Warning tone volume decrease for the current maneuver only. Note: The volume level for all maneuvers can be adjusted via the media volume control. Automatically activates if Reverse (R) or Neutral (N) is selected. Can be set to automatically activate when Drive (D) is selected or the vehicle's speed falls below 6 mph (10 km/h). Set via the settings icon. Visual and audible warnings alert the driver if objects are detected when parking. Detected objects are displayed as coloured blocks: Gray: Not a collision threat. Yellow/Amber/Red: Collision threat. The colour indicates the distance to the vehicle, with red being the closest. The warning tones increase in speed as the vehicle gets closer to the detected object. The tone becomes continuous when the object is within 12 in (30 cm). The parking systems are driving aids only. The driver must remain alert and be ready to intervene, if required. Some objects may not be detected, e.g., objects close to the ground or moving objects such as children or animals. The sensors must be kept clean and free from obstructions. Limitations to performance are listed in the Owner's Handbook. SERVICE REQUIREMENTS - AND Important information regarding service requirements. SERVICE REQUIREMENTS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Service requirements Through the settings menu check that Software updates are enabled and that the customer is aware of associated terms and conditions. Routine services must be carried out throughout the life of the vehicle. Traditionally, a service would be due after a vehicle has reached a certain mileage or elapsed time. The flexible service on your vehicle takes into account individual driving styles and conditions to determine when a service is due. Your vehicle is fitted with a service interval indicator in the instrument panel. When a service is due, and when the ignition is switched on, the relevant service message and estimated distance to the next service is displayed. On completion of a service, the instrument panel countdown feature is reset. 35

Functionality and activation/deactivation of the mirror dip feature when reversing. MIRRORS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Door mirror operation: 1. Press the required door mirror button. Use the toggle to adjust the height and angle of the mirrors. 2. Press both buttons simultaneously to power-fold and unfold the mirrors. Explain Mirror dip when reversing: When Reverse (R) is selected, the door mirrors automatically adjust to improve the viewing angle. The mirrors return to their previous settings once R is deselected. Activation/deactivation is set via the Vehicle settings menu. See 41, INSTRUMENT PANEL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS WITH AUTO HIGH BEAM ASSIST (AHBA) - AND Operation and functionality of the exterior lights. 37

38 FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS WITH AUTO HIGH BEAM ASSIST (AHBA) - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Lighting control operation: 1. Rotate the lighting control to the required position and release. After being released, the lighting control returns to the neutral position. 2. Rotate to switch the side lights on. 3. Rotate to switch the headlights off. 4. Rotate to switch the headlights on. 5. Rotate to select AUTO lights. 6. Push and release the lighting control again to deselect high beam. 7. Pull the lighting control toward the steering wheel and release to flash the high beam on and off. 8. Turn the lighting control away from the steering wheel, and release to switch on the front fog lights. Repeat to turn off. 9. Turn the lighting control toward the steering wheel and release to switch on the rear fog lights. Repeat to turn off. Daytime Running Lights (DRL): Automatically switch on in bright, daytime conditions if: The electric motor is running. The gear selector is out of Park (P). The Electric Parking Brake (EPB) is not applied. Auto lights are selected and high light levels are detected. DRL can be switched off. Turn the lighting control to the OFF position with the vehicle stationary and the electric motor running. Headlight courtesy delay: The headlights remain illuminated for up to 4 minutes after the vehicle's electrical system is switched off. The time delay can be changed via the Vehicle settings menu. See 41, INSTRUMENT PANEL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 38

39 FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT The lighting control must be in the AUTO position. Windscreen wiper detection: The lighting control must be in the AUTO position. The side lights, tail lights, and headlights automatically switch on if the windscreen wipers have been operating for at least 20 seconds. The lights remain illuminated for 2 minutes after the wipers are switched off. Auto High Beam Assist (AHBA): Automatically switches the headlights between high beam and dipped beam, when conditions dictate. Automatically activates when the vehicle's speed reaches 25 mph (40 km/h) and the camera does not detect an urban environment. Can be activated/deactivated via the Vehicle settings menu. Conditions that may affect operation of the system are listed in the Owner's Handbook. Automatically deactivates when the vehicle's speed drops to 15 mph (24 km/h), ambient light reaches a predetermined level, or the gear selector is in Reverse (R). Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS): Adjusts the angle of the headlight beams when cornering, in order to improve the driver's view of the road ahead. Activates when AUTO lights is selected and ambient light level is below a predetermined level. Conditions that may affect operation of the system are listed in the Owner's Handbook. Deactivates when high beam is manually selected or dipped beam is not in AUTO mode. Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB): Detects other vehicle lights ahead. The distribution of light emitted from the headlights is adjusted to take account of the light sources detected, dimming the light in these areas. The lighting control must be in the AUTO position. Automatically activates when the vehicle's speed reaches 25 mph (40 km/h) and the camera does not detect an urban environment. Conditions that may affect operation of the system are listed in the Owner's Handbook. Automatically deactivates when the vehicle's speed drops to 15 mph (24 km/h), ambient light reaches a predetermined level, or the gear selector is in Reverse (R). Direction indicators: The side light segments illuminate in sequence when the direction indicators are used. Can be activated/deactivated via the Vehicle settings menu. WIPERS - AND Operation of the wipers and washers. Wiper service position for replacement of a wiper arm. 39

40 FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT WIPERS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Wiper/washer operation: 1. Vehicles with a rain sensor: Automatic operation of the windscreen wipers. Wiper frequency is determined by the level of rain detected and the sensitivity setting of the collar (2). Vehicles without a rain sensor: Intermittent wipe. Wiper frequency is determined by the time delay setting of the collar (2). 2. Sensitivity/Time delay control. 3. Continuous low speed wipe. 4. Continuous high speed wipe. 5. Single wipe. 6. Wash and wipe. Wiper replacement: Switch the vehicle's electrical system on and then off. See 23, STARTING THE VEHICLE - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Move the wash/wipe control to the single wipe position (5). Hold the position and switch the vehicle's electrical system on. The wipers move to the service position. It is now safe to change the wiper blade. Once replaced, switch the vehicle's electrical system off. The wipers return to the normal parked position. The wipers must not be lifted from the windscreen while in the normal parked position. The smart key must be inside the vehicle. Replacement wiper blades must be of the same specification as the original blades and must be replaced in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. See 12, CHILD SAFETY LOCKS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. The windows feature an anti-trap protection system. If an obstruction is detected, window movement stops. 42 FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT Available trip content options are: Trip distance, Average speed, Average economy, Instantaneous economy, energy regenerated, and driving style. The final option is blank, when selected no trip information is displayed. Instrument panel display: Displays information, warnings, and menu options. The virtual display consists of: An information panel, a speedometer, a power gauge, and a trip computer. The display layout can be changed to suit personal preferences. Select the Display instrument panel menu to make changes. Power gauge: 1. READY: The vehicle is ready to be driven. Off: The vehicle is not ready to be driven. 2. CHARGE zone: Amount of energy available with accelerator pedal released or during vehicle braking. 3. POWER zone: Propulsion power output of the electric vehicle system when vehicle is driven. 4. Power gauge marker: Current status inn each charge and power zone. 5. Driving range: Current predicted driving range. 6. Battery gauge: Current charge level of high voltage battery. 7. Derate markers: Indicates reduced levels of propulsion power output and limited vehicle performance in adverse driving conditions. Driving style: Displays an instantaneous 1-5 driving economy rating for the accelerator pedal position, vehicle speed and the vehicle's braking behaviour. Select Eco Data feature from touchscreen EXTRA FEATURES menu to display extra vehicle economy and guidance screens. See 43, TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Warning/information lamps and messages: Display in the instrument panel. There are three levels of warning/information lamps: Red: Immediate action is required. Refer to the Owner's Handbook. Amber/Yellow: Refer to the relevant lamp in the Owner's Handbook, as these can indicate a number of different things. Some may require action. Blue/Green: Indicate a system's status. Warning/information messages are displayed in order of importance. Appropriate action must be taken to rectify the cause. 42

TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Touchscreen HOME menu: Allows access to the vehicle's main features and the infotainment systems. Touch the relevant soft key or icon to view, adjust, or connect to the selected feature. Incorporates several touch gestures, including a swipe, drag and drop, and pinch in and out for zoom features. Swipe left to view additional features available via the EXTRA FEATURES menus. Swipe right to set up, view, or edit personalised homepages. Personal preferences may be added and deleted. Drag and drop to rearrange screen widgets. Each MY HOME page can be renamed to individual users. Status icons indicate the status of connected features: Phone, internet, and heated/climate seats. The settings icon allows for the general settings (Time and date, Master PIN, Screensaver, etc.) and system settings (Navigation, Bluetooth, Climate, etc.) to be viewed or adjusted. To return to the HOME screen, touch the home icon. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen. NAVIGATION - AND Operation and functionality of the navigation system, including: Navigation menu selection. Setting a destination. 43

44 SYSTEMS NAVIGATION - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS To select the NAVIGATION menu, touch Navigation on the HOME screen. Select the navigation menu icon. See 43, TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Setting a destination: 1. Select Search. 2. Type the destination details into the search box. 3. Select the required destination from the list. 4. Touch Start. Viewing Points Of Interest (POIs): 1. Select Places. 2. Choose from the list of categories and sub-categories. 3. Select the required POI. Note: Additional information for the POI is displayed, e.g., the phone number and address, and the nearest parking lot. On first use, it is advised to set up personal preference via the navigation settings. See 43, TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Different navigation map views are available: 2D, 3D, North facing, and Satellite. Note: The Satellite view requires an internet connection. During guidance, other options are available to make the trip easier. For example, the map can display traffic delays, next maneuvers, and/or a compass display. For a full list of menu options and features, refer to the Owner's Handbook. A number of available features utilize Connect Pro. See 51, INCONTROL ACCOUNT: REGISTER, CONNECT, ACTIVATE - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. BLUETOOTH PHONE PAIRING - AND Pairing and connecting a phone via Bluetooth. BLUETOOTH PHONE PAIRING - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Pairing and connecting a phone via Bluetooth : 1. Select Tap to connect phone from the HOME screen. See 43, TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 44

45 SYSTEMS 2. Using the phone handset, search for Bluetooth devices. 3. When the vehicle is discovered, follow the on-screen instructions. 4. When prompted, select Yes to confirm the pairing. A list of compatible phones can be viewed at via the OWNERSHIP section. Paired phones can be used for phone or media operation, or both. Manage operation via the settings menu. CLIMATE CONTROL - AND Operation and functionality of the climate control system, including heated/climate seats. CLIMATE CONTROL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS The climate feature is controlled via the lower touchscreen. Climate controls: 1. Air conditioning (A/C). 2. Air conditioning (A/C) maximum level. 3. Air recirculation: Touch briefly for timed recirculation. Automatically switches off after a predetermined length of time, dependent on the external temperature. Touch and hold for continuous recirculation. Touch the icon again to switch off. 4. Settings soft key: Accesses the Climate Settings menu. 5. Climate soft key: Accesses the Climate menu. 6. Power on/off. 7. Connect to smart phone. 8. Air distribution: To the windshield. 9. Seat comfort adjustment: accesses the seat comfort controls. 10.Heated windshield. 11. SYNC: Synchronises the front and rear passenger's climate settings to the driver's settings. 12. Heated windshield, maximum level. 13. Rear heated screen. 14.Rotary controls. To operate: When the climate screen is active, push the rotary controls to access heated and climate seat adjustment. 45

46 SYSTEMS When the seats screen is active, push the rotary controls to adjust ambient temperature. Pull the rotary controls to access climate control blower level adjustment. AUTO: Various options for AUTO mode can be set via the climate settings menu. 18.Smart climate. 19.Front/Rear: Switches between the front and rear climate menus. 20.Air ionisation. Rear climate: Can be operated via the lower touchscreen, or the control panel at the rear of the center console. 1. Rotary controls. To operate: Push to access heated and climate seat adjustment. Pull to access climate control blower level adjustment. Rotate the controls to adjust the currently selected function. 2. Press to decrease the blower speed. 3. LED displays the current blower speed level. 4. Press to increase the blower speed. 5. Press to switch automatic operation on. 6. Air distribution: To the feet. 7. Air distribution: To the face. Seat comfort and adjustment: To access the seats screen, touch the seats icon on the lower touchscreen. 46

Three times: To set the heated seat at the lowest setting. One LED indicator illuminates. Four times: To switch off. Climate seats: To access the heated or climate seats screen, touch the seats icon on the lower touchscreen, then touch the climate seats icon. To switch on or off, touch or press the following screen icons or menus setting options: 1. Power on/off. 2. Seat zone. Top and base. 3. Rotate the outer part of the rotary control to adjust the seat temperature. VOICE CONTROL - AND Operation and functionality of the voice control system. VOICE CONTROL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Voice control operation: 1. Press to activate/deactivate voice control. See 36, STEERING COLUMN AND STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS and 47, VOICE CONTROL - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 2. A list of commands is displayed as step-by-step guidance. Say the required command clearly. 3. The exit icon cancels voice commands for the current session. Manual inputs can still be made. Voice control allows the user to utilize infotainment systems by saying simple commands. No manual inputs via the buttons/icons are required. A tutorial on how to use the system is available. Press the voice button and, after the tone, say voice tutorial. For assistance, at any point, say the relevant command: Help, cancel, go back, or replay. 47

HD RADIO AND SATELLITE RADIO - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Accessing the satellite radio menu: 1. From the SELECT SOURCE screen, select Radio. See 49, MEDIA HUB - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 2. From the Band option, select DAB. DAB radio operation: 1. Song scan. Each song plays for 5 seconds. Touch Play to listen to the song. 2. Menu options for finding a channel. Search by all channels list, by genre, or by entering the details via the displayed keyboard. 3. Favorite channels list display. 4. Select media source list. 5. Previous available channel. 6. Touch to add to favorites. 7. Channel name display. 8. Broadcasting channel display. Touch (+) icon to add to My Artist, My Song or My Team. 9. Channel number. 10.Interactive track progress bar. 11. Use the seek arrow icons to scroll through the available options. 2. Select from HD2, HD3, or HD4. Satellite radio: A free complimentary trial subscription to Sirius XM is available. Lists can be displayed alphabetically, or in carousel or grid view. HD radio: Provides improved quality audio for the AM/FM radio via digital broadcasts. In areas with poor reception, the radio may switch between digital and anolog connection. If signal is lost when listening to multicast services, audio is muted. MEDIA HUB - AND Media selection. Media connection and compatibility. Software updates. MEDIA HUB - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Media selection: From the HOME menu, select Media. See 43, TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 49

50 IN-CAR INFOTAINMENT 1. Touch to select the media source. 2. Side panel: Displays the last used feature. 3. Touch to select the media system. 4. Select Audio Settings or specific media settings. 5. Touch to return to a higher menu level. Media connection and compatibility: Portable media devices require connection via the media hub in the centre console. USB memory sticks, ipods, ipads, MP3 players, and media that supports an HDMI or MHL connection are compatible with the media hub. USB devices exceeding 70mm in length must not be used. On closure of the cubby box lid, damage may be caused. Devices connected to the USB port are charged. Devices with Bluetooth capability can be connected wirelessly. See 44, BLUETOOTH PHONE PAIRING - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. A micro SIM card can be connected to the SIM card reader in the media hub for vehicle systems that require a data connection. For example, the navigation system. Operation of devices connected to the media hub is via the touchscreen or the left-side steering wheel controls. See 36, STEERING COLUMN AND STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Software updates Software updates for the infotainment system may be available during the life of the vehicle. Software updates will be loaded to the vehicle during a normal service. 50

51 INCONTROL INCONTROL ACCOUNT: REGISTER, CONNECT, ACTIVATE - RETAILER TO CARRY OUT Registration, connection, and activation of an InControl account by the retailer. INCONTROL ACCOUNT: REGISTER, CONNECT, ACTIVATE - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS AND The retailer must carry out the following actions to register, connect, and activate an InControl account for the user: Registration: 1. Register the customer details via the InControl Admin website. The vehicle's VIN is also required. Note: Accessed via the Dealer Communication portal. 2. Prompts the retailer to connect the vehicle to the account. The vehicle needs to be in an area with good mobile reception. Note: This stage can be completed later. If intending to complete later, do not select Get Started. Connection: 1. Select Get Started. 2. When prompted, press the Jaguar assistance call button for at least 10 seconds. See 51, INCONTROL: OVERHEAD CONSOLE BUTTONS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 3. The button flashes rapidly at first and then slows when attempting connection. 4. On release of the button, a long flash followed by a short flash indicates successful connection. Activation: 1. Confirm the customer details on the website. 2. An activation is sent to the customer. The customer must open the activation and accept the Terms and Conditions to complete the activation process. Advise the customer to download the Jaguar InControl Remote smartphone app to enjoy all of the associated features. The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. INCONTROL: OVERHEAD CONSOLE BUTTONS - AND Operation and functionality of the InControl overhead console buttons. INCONTROL: OVERHEAD CONSOLE BUTTONS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS AND The SOS emergency call button is located in the overhead console. To be used in the event of an accident. Making an emergency call: 1. Press and release the button's cover. 2. Press the SOS button for 3 seconds. 3. The call is directed to the emergency call center. 4. Information, such as the vehicle's location, vehicle and owner details, and the problem, is sent to the call center. 5. The relevant emergency services are despatched to the location. During an accident, if the air bags deploy, the system directly contacts the call center, in case the driver/passengers are unable to. The message SOS limited indicates that the battery needs replacing. A retailer/authorized repairer must replace the battery. 51

52 INCONTROL The roadside assistance button is located in the overhead console. To be used in the event of a breakdown. Making a call for roadside assistance: 1. Press and release the button's cover. 2. Press the assistance button for 3 seconds. 3. The call is directed to the roadside assistance call center. 4. Information, such as the vehicle's location, vehicle and owner details, and the problem, is sent to the call center. 5. Roadside assistance is sent to the vehicle's location. 6. The call center calls back with the ETA for roadside assistance. The button's LED flashes when a call is being received. Press to answer. Inform the customer that videos showing how to use the buttons can be viewed on the website: INCONTROL: REMOTE SMARTPHONE APP - AND Downloading and installing the Remote smartphone app. How to use the features. Important information. INCONTROL: REMOTE SMARTPHONE APP - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS AND Downloading and installing the Remote smartphone app: 1. Download and install the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. 2. Open the launcher and select the app's icon. 3. Sign in using the InControl account details. See 51, INCONTROL ACCOUNT: REGISTER, CONNECT, ACTIVATE - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. The PIN set up for the account is required for some of the features. Remote: Using Demo mode or the app tour on the Settings page, demonstrate: Vehicle location: Displays the parked location of the vehicle. Vehicle status: Alerts to the current status of certain vehicle systems, e.g., low level windshield wash. Beep & flash: Sounds the horn and flashes the headlights to locate the vehicle. Vehicle security: Displays the locked/unlocked status of the vehicle. Allows for remote locking/ unlocking. If remotely unlocked, the vehicle relocks after 45 seconds if no attempt is made to enter the vehicle. If an alarm alert is received, it can be reset via the smartphone app. Note: Remote closing of the windows is not permitted. Remote climate: Provides a comfortable cabin temperature inside the cabin in advance of the driver entering the vehicle, via electric climate conditioning. After selecting START, a target temperature can be set. All system limitations are listed in the Owner's Handbook. Remote seats: Allows for remote adjustment of the electric rear seats. Note: The vehicle must be locked for the remote seats feature to operate. Remote charging: Allows for viewing the charging status of an electric vehicle. The user can set a preferred charging time and manage notifications. Journeys: Displays recently completed journeys. Journeys can be downloaded as a.csv file to assist with business expenses. Assistance: Displays vehicle details. Calls can be made to the roadside assistance and stolen vehicle tracking call centers if required. Settings: Allows for Remote features to be switched on and off. Wake up timer: A date can be selected to wake up the Remote features if the vehicle is parked for a length of time. For example, when on vacation. 52

Enabling mobile data in the vehicle. Creating a Touch Pro Duo navigation profile. Creating an InControl navigation account. Inserting a SIM card: Requires a data-enabled micro SIM card to be fitted. See 54, INSERTING A SIM CARD - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Enabling mobile data in the vehicle: 1. Select the settings icon. See 43, TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 2. Select All settings, followed by Connectivity. 3. Touch the Mobile data toggle. 4. When displayed, select Agree. Creating a Touch Pro Duo navigation profile: 1. On first use, Touch Pro Duo prompts to create and name a profile. Note: More than one profile can be created, allowing for each driver to set their own personal preferences. 2. Select the required connected navigation features: Turn on all: Enables all. Turn on: Allows for individual selection. Cancel: Disables the selected feature. Creating an InControl navigation account: 1. Select Sign in from the main navigation screen. 2. Follow the on-screen instructions to register a new account. WI-FI HOTSPOT - AND Setting up a Wi-Fi hotspot in the vehicle. Connecting a wireless device to the vehicle's Wi-Fi hotspot. General information. WI-FI HOTSPOT - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Setting up a Wi-Fi hotspot in the vehicle: 1. Select the settings icon. See 43, TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. 2. Select All settings, followed by Connectivity. 3. From the CONNECTIVITY pop-up menu, touch the Hotspot toggle. To view the vehicle's Wi-Fi name and password, select Hotspot. Connecting a wireless device to the vehicle's Wi-Fi hotspot: 1. Switch the mobile device's Wi-Fi connection on. 2. Select the vehicle's Wi-Fi hotspot name. 3. Enter the password. 53

See 54, INSERTING A SIM CARD - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. INSERTING A SIM CARD - AND Fitment and removal of a SIM card. INSERTING A SIM CARD - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Fitting a SIM card: 1. Locate the SIM card reader in the center console's cubby box. 2. Insert the micro SIM card with the contacts facing upwards and the shortest end facing out. Note: For the latch to engage, insert the card to 2 mm past the flush position. Removing the SIM card: Push the SIM card inwards. Release the card. The SIM card reader only accepts a micro SIM card. If the SIM is locked to a specific device, the network provider must be contacted to unlock it. SMART SETTINGS - AND Operation and functionality of the smart settings feature. SMART SETTINGS - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS Smart settings feature: Allows the user to set up a profile to store and retrieve personal vehicle settings. User can assign personal vehicle settings to a smart key or smartphone. Automatically adjusts the vehicle to user's preferences, including: radio, climate, seat memory, HUD, language and driver assistance settings Smart settings profile: To create a profile select smart settings from touchscreen HOME menu. See 43, TOUCHSCREEN HOME - CUSTOMER CARE POINTS. Select Create new profile and follow the on screen instructions. Once created, the smart settings icon changes to the user's personalized profile icon. To edit a profile: select edit profile from the SMART SETTINGS screen.
