3 1 Install the washer system Preserve this manual as a reference for future needs. Used electrical, electronic and stainless steel products should not be mixed with general waste. For proper treatment, recovery and recycling of old products, take them to applicable collection points, in accordance with your national legislation and the Directives 2011/65/EU and 2012/19/EU. By disposing of these products correctly, you help to save valuable resources and prevent any potential negative effects on human health and the environment which could otherwise arise from inappropriate waste handling. For more information about collection and recycling of old products, contact your local municipality or your waste disposal service. The manufacturer reserves the right to make any alterations deemed appropriate for the technical, manufacturing, and commercial improvement of the product, while leaving the essential product features unchanged, at any time and without undertaking to update the present publication. 1.1 Description The SA-WP10-10M-VSF 24 v2 washer system has been designed to operate on camera housings with wash wiper system. A 10 litre tank is available with 10-metre max delivery height and 24 Vac supply voltage. The unit can be controlled via dry contact or RS-485 Pelco D command. 4 1.2 Install the system Prior to installation and operation, carefully read all instructions in this manual and heed all warnings. Unpack this equipment and handle it carefully. If the package appears to be damaged, notify the shipper immediately. Use the original packaging to transport the unit. Disconnect power supply before moving it. In case of returning the equipment, the original packaging must be used. Make sure that the installation surface can support at least four times the weight of the unit in normal operating conditions. In case of excessive external stress (vibration, strong winds or impact, for example), the equipment may need additional means of protection. Proper stainless steel hardware should be carefully chosen to fasten the unit to the surfaces. The internal pump must not run dry to prevent its failure. Use caution when lifting and assembling the unit. It is recommended that non-slip protective gloves be worn during installation. The unit could bear sharp edges. The junction box must be tightly closed when operating. The unit is intended to be used with water or with water solutions: denser mixtures could obstruct the nozzle. If the solution used has residual, it must be filtered before use. Keep the unit empty until the end of the installation. This equipment has been designed to fit in harsh environments requiring little or no maintenance. Suggested inspection interval is 6 months, but extremely harsh environments may require more frequent inspection and maintenance checks. Check cables, electrical connections, and mounting hardware for integrity and tightness. Replace or tighten any damaged/loose part. Operating temperature: -20 C to +60 C 4

5 Before performing any operation, turn off the power. The installation of the unit can be performed only by qualified personnel in accordance with the relevant code of practice (e.g., EN ) and with all the relevant local and national standards including but not limited to the use of special pipes, tapes, sealants, cables and glands. Do not connect the unit to a supply circuit unless the installation is completed. Carefully check the supply voltage marked on the label. An incorrect power supply voltage may damage the unit. Do not overload the terminal connection, as it may cause a fire or electrical shock hazard. Use a suitable fuse for overcurrent protection. Fasten all the cables inside the housing with cables ties or other fixing means to avoid the electrical contact with surrounding parts in case cables get loose. Electrical connections (such as plugs and cords) must be protected from potential hazardous environmental factors (e.g. foot traffic, hitting objects). Make sure that the unit case is properly earthed, connecting all the earth ground studs. Earth cable should be about 10 mm longer than the other cables on the connector, in such way that it will not be accidentally disconnected if the cable is stretched or pulled Choose the power supply The device must be provided with a 24 Vac, 120 Vac, or 230 Vac power supply voltage. Electrical connections must be performed with the power supply disconnected and the circuit-breaker open. When commencing installation make sure that the specifications for the power supply for the installation correspond with those required by the device. Make sure that the power source and connecting cables are suitable for the power consumption of the system. Use a power cable that is suitable for outdoor use (ES H05RH-F). 5

7 1.2.4 Connection of the board Find, on the pump control board, the position of the fuses (FUS1, FUS2, FUS3), the power supply terminal (J1), the wiper connector (J7), and the control terminal (J9) Install the fuse Depending on the power supply voltage choose the right fuse holder. The board is supplied with the fuse in the following position: FUS3, 24 Vac. 7

Connect the Pan & Tilt to the J9 terminal contacts as described in the table below. The AVL, GND, A1L and A2L contacts can only be used in pump models equipped with floats. This solution is particularly suitable when washing the housing windows. It is also controllable via RS-485 Pelco D command. 8

For the manual activation of the wiper, refer to the J9 terminal contacts. WIPER CONNECTION Connector CW GCW Function Wiper control (dry contact) GND Wiper control (dry contact) Join connector J7 to the wiper observing the order of the PERM, SW and COM contacts (refer to the wiper manual). The voltage applied to connector J7 (WIPER) is the same as the one delivered to the power supply terminal. Use a wiper having electric characteristics that are suitable for the power supply voltage Remote control via RS-485 Pelco D The SA-WP10-10M-VSF 24 v2 allows you to turn on the wiper and the pump remotely, via an RS-485 connection. This solution is particularly suitable for stand-alone housings. We recommend using a twisted cable with minimum section of 0.22 mm 2 / 0.8 in 2 (AWG). If the receiver is connected to one of the head communication channels RS-485, the line must be terminated (SW8 column in table above) Connect power supply line Earth cable should be about 10 mm longer than the other two, so that it will not accidentally be pulled. The power supply cable should also be covered by the silicone sheath (01) supplied for this purpose. The silicone sheath must be fastened with the corresponding tie (02). 10

11 Connect the power supply terminal J1 to the electric network using a suitably sectioned cable. All the conductors of terminals MAIN-IN, HH-PUMP and WIPER must be separated from the other low-voltage circuits. The disconnection of a wire must not compromise the protection against electric shocks Send wiper/washer controls (Pelco D) For devices that communicate via the Pelco D protocol, please refer to the relative table. 12 2 Camera configuration This section shows you how to configure a TKH Security camera, such as the BC820v2H3, for wiper and washer control. To configure the wiper/washer commands 1 Log on to the camera webpages. 2 Click the Pan Tilt tab. 3 Make the following settings: - Set Pan/Tilt Control to On, and then click Save. - Set RS-485 Protocol Type to Pelco D, set Baudrate to 2400, and then click Save. - Set Wiper ON command to Set Preset 85, and then click Save. - Set Wiper OFF command to Set Preset 86, and then click Save. - Set Washer ON command to Set Preset 87, and then click Save. The wiper and washer commands are configured so that the camera responds correctly to the ONVIF auxiliary commands tt:wiper On, tt:wiper Off, and tt:washer On. This is the standard approach a VMS s ONVIF driver is likely to take to control the wiper and washer functions. If your VMS does not use ONVIF driver, here s a list of alternative methods to control the wiper and washer: Manually start wiper from the basic operation control GUI: Save Preset 85 Manually stop wiper from the basic operation control GUI: Save Preset 86 Manually start washer sequence from the basic operation control GUI: Save Preset 87 If the VMS allows for an HTTP GET call to be configured for such operations (a.b.c.d= camera IP address): Wiper ON: Wiper OFF: Washer ON: 12
