1 DIGNOSTICS SUPPLMNTL RSTRINT SYSTM DTC 1153/25 ST POSITION IRG SNSOR MLUNCTION 05UJ01 CIRCUIT DSCRIPTION The seat position airbag sensor circuit consists of the airbag sensor assy center and the seat position airbag sensor. DTC 1153/25 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the seat position airbag sensor circuit. DTC No. DTC Detecting Condition Trouble rea 1153/25 WIRING DIGRM When one of the following conditions is met: The airbag sensor assy center detects a line short signal, open signal, short to ground signal, or short to + signal in the seat position airbag sensor circuit. 2 DIGNOSTICS SUPPLMNTL RSTRINT SYSTM INSPCTION PROCDUR 1 CHCK DTC (a) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait at least for 60 seconds. (b) Clear the DTCs stored in memory (See page 05973). (c) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. (d) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds. (e) Check the DTCs (See page 05973). : DTC 1153/25 is not output. Codes other than code 1153/25 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check. DLC3 DTC 1153/25 CG TC c NG GO TO STP 2 US SIMULTION MTHOD TO CHCK 2 CHCK CONNCTORS (a) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position. (b) Disconnect the negative () terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds. (c) Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag sensor assy center, seat position airbag sensor and front seat inner belt assy LH. : The connectors are properly connected. If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection. (d) Disconnect the connectors from the airbag sensor assy center, seat position airbag sensor and front seat inner belt assy LH. 3 DIGNOSTICS SUPPLMNTL RSTRINT SYSTM 3 CHCK ST POSITION IRG SNSOR CIRCUIT (OPN) Connector Service WIre Connector 27 (a) Using a service wire, connect 274 () and 273 (LSP) of connector. NOTIC: Do not forcibly insert a service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting. (b) Measure the resistance between the terminals of connector according to the value(s) in the table below. 1 2 lways elow 1 Ω LSP C NG GO TO STP 10 4 CHCK ST POSITION IRG SNSOR CIRCUIT (SHORT TO GROUND) (a) Disconnect the service wire from connector. 4 DIGNOSTICS SUPPLMNTL RSTRINT SYSTM CHCK ST POSITION IRG SNSOR CIRCUIT (SHORT) (a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. 1 2 lways 1 MΩ or higher Connector c NG GO TO STP 12 6 CHCK ST POSITION IRG SNSOR CIRCUIT (SHORT TO +) (a) (b) (c) (d) Deactivate the LXUS link system (See page 05973). Connect the negative () terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. (b) Disconnect the negative () terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds. (c) Connect the connectors to the seat position airbag sensor and the airbag sensor assy center. (d) Connect the negative () terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds. (e) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds. (f) Clear the DTCs stored in memory (See page 05973). (g) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. (h) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds. (i) Check the DTCs (See page 05973). : DTC 1153/25 is not output. Codes other than code 1153/25 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check. NG GO TO STP 8 US SIMULTION MTHOD TO CHCK 8 RPLC ST POSITION IRG SNSOR (a) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. (b) Disconnect the negative () terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
