Carriage of Firearms & Ammunition Dangerous Goods
2 Liquids and Food Liquids or comparable items of similar consistency (such as gels, aerosols, lotions, creams, and toothpaste) may only be carried by travelers in small quantities and in smalll containers.. The maximum size of a container is limited to 100 ml. The containers must be placed and transported in a clear plastic, zip lock bag having a maximum volume of 1 liter. The bag may contain several containers but it must still be possible to completely close the bag. Only one bagg is permitted per passenger. This bag must be removed from the carry-on and presented to security personnel at the checkpoint for separate X- raying. You are allowed to carry as much liquid medicine and does not need to be inserted in transparent plastic bags but should have them ready for inspection by airport authorities. In hand/cabin In checked/hold Liquids Liquids bottles (Milk, water, juice etc..) carried must not exceed 100ml (3.4 ounces) Alcoholic beverages Maximum 70% alcohol by volume, maximum 5L per person Liquid foods Liquid foods (soups, sauces, etc...) All liquids should be carried in a single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag of up to 20cm x 20cm (8in x 8in) Dry foods (e.g. sandwiches, biscuits, fruit, nuts) Baby milk, baby food Liquid medicines
3 Medical Devices and Medications Medications and special dietary requirement, are permitted in carry-on if needed on board. These must be removed from the carry-on and declared to security personnel at the checkpoint. 8 Carriage of Firearms and Ammunition Firearms may conditionally be accepted on MEA Flights and it is subject to approval provided they are carried as checked (hold ). Firearms must be for sporting purposes, disassembled and not be accessible to passengers during flight. The carriage of firearms and ammunitions is subject to any restrictive condition(s) applicable in countries of departure, transit, transfer or destination. No more than 5Kgs of ammunition per passenger from the {IATA Division 1.4 S category (UN numbers 0012 and 0014 only)} and should be carried, in strongly secured boxes placed in the passenger's. Ammunition is securely boxed and carried separately from the weapon. The passenger shall sign an "Indemnity Form for Carriage of Firearms/Ammunitions. If you are planning to fly with MEA carrying firearms or ammunition please contact as at before booking to check that other airlines is able to carry your firearms in case of countries of departure, transit, transfer or destination.
9 Dangerous Goods Dangerous Goods are items which may cause damage to the aircraft or other load, and shall not be carried as, within, or as part of passengers without the consent of and prior arrangement with MEA booking. Please Contact Us at Dangerous Goods are: - Briefcases and security type attached cases with installed alarm devices, or incorporative lithium batteries and/or pyrotechnic material. - Ammunitions, fireworks and flares. - Gases (flammable, non-flammable, deeply refrigerated and poisonous) such as camping gas and aerosols. - Flammable liquids such as lighter fuels, paints and thinner, and electronic cigarettes. - Flammable solids, such as matches and articles which are easily ignited, substances liable to spontaneous combustion, substances which in contact with water emit flammable gases. - Oxidizing substances (such as bleaching powder and peroxides). - Corrosives (such as mercury which may be contained in thermometers, acids, alkalis and wet-cell batteries). - Magnetized materials and miscellaneous dangerous goods as listed in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. - Any item not conforming to packing requirements and/or permissible quantities shall not be accepted. - It is intended that this should include such items as hair sprays, perfumes and medicines containing alcohols. - Dry ice in quantities not exceeding 2kg per passenger when used to pack perishables in carry-on. - Alcoholic beverages, perfumes and colognes carried by passengers as carry-on or checked provided that the net quantity of alcoholic beverage in each receptacle does not exceed 5L(5 qt) and that the total net. Quantity of perfumes or colognes carried by each passenger does not exceed 2L (2 qt) and the net quantity of each single article does not exceed 0.5L. - Fuel (other than liquefied gas), lighter fuel and lighter refills are not permitted on one's person nor in checked or carry-on ;
10 - Radio isotopic cardiac pacemakers or other devices, including those powered by lithium batteries, implanted into a person, or radio-pharmaceuticals contained within the body of a person as the result of medical treatment. - Spare lithium batteries are prohibited in hold e and must t be removed from cabin when cabin cannot be accommodated in passenger cabin. - With the approval of the MEA small gaseous oxygen or air cylinders required for medical use. - Small carbon dioxide gas cylinders worn by passengers for the operation of mechanical limbs, also spare cylinders of a similar size may be carried if required to ensure an adequate supply for the duration of the journey. - Hair curlers containing hydrocarbon gas, no more than one per passenger or crew member, whenn contained in checked or carry-on, provided that the safety cover is securely fitted over the heating element. Gas refills for such curlers are not permitted in checked or carry-on. -
