2 Plastics technology in the future - safe, clean, fast. The ROTEX VA - installation system ROTEX VA is an installation system applicable for sanitary and heating. Fittings and manifolds are made of the high-efficiency material PPSU (Polyphenylesulphone). The ROTEX VA -sliding sleeves consist also of high quality plastic as the fittings. Thermal expansions of pipes, fittings and sliding sleeves are almost the same. Additionally an elastic tension on the connection point becomes effective, therefore the tightness is ensured also when there are extreme temperature changes. The well-considered shape of the fittings and the remarkable characteristics of the material PPSU ensure an absolutely safe and durable connection. Sealing material or additional sealing elements are therefore excluded. Saving time and money. The ROTEX VA -STAB (STAB=stable) pipes can be bent by hand or with a bending machine to stay in the requested shape. ROTEX VA -STAB heating- and sanitary pipes are ideal for surface mounting on visible areas. The stability of shape due to the metal layer, the low thermal expansion and the high-quality appearance (thanks to the silver shining exterior) sets new standards. 4 Safe PPSU fittings. The fittings are the point The fittings and the manifolds are made of high-quality plastic PPSU (Polyphenylesulphone). This plastic has also been approved in aerotechnics and space technology. Remarkable characteristics are: extremely impact resistant when notched, good ageing stability to heat and a [ROTEX VA -fittings good fire protection seal without o-rings behaviour. When using or any other sealing the ROTEX VA plastic elements. fitting we totally exclude corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, deplating and washout of metal ions. The metallic influences to drinking water are reduced to a minimum when using ROTEX VA plastic fittings.we also exclude any corrosion to the outside of the pipe for concealed mounting. The fittings are approved according to DVGW W-534 (German Standards) and are tested to bear an inner pressure up to 36 bars and a temperature up to 120 C. To seal the ROTEX VA pipe, absolutely no o-rings or other sealing elements are used with the sliding sleeves. Due to the high durable elasticity of the cross linked PEX-C pipe you have a safe and permanent connection. The ROTEX VA -sliding sleeves The ROTEX VA -sliding sleeves consist of a high quality plastic. That offers a maximum of security against breaking or other mechanical loads. Thermal expansions of pipes, fittings and sliding sleeves are almost the same. Corrosion to the outside of the pipe is avoided due to the plastic sleeve. 5 The ROTEX VA installation pipe. ROTEX VA -STAB the remarkable aluminium compound pipe A laser welded aluminium casing with a high finish, silver-grey protection layer surrounds a thick-walled PEX-C basic pipe. The aluminium is connected to the basic pipe by a high-efficiency primer. The surface of the ROTEX VA - STAB pipe is covered with a high finish silver shining layer. This layer is connected to the aluminium by a primer. Thanks to the high-quality appearance the ROTEX VA -STAB compound pipe can also be used for surface mounting. The basic pipe is tested and approved in accordance to the DVGW (DIN 1988 T2, DVGW W 544). The necessary stability and resistance is already provided by the approved PEX-C basic pipe and is additionally supported by the aluminium layer. This also provides for a 100 % metalline oxygen-tightness and a very low thermal expansion. The expansion behaviour of ROTEX VA -STAB pipes is very similar to metal pipes (copper or steel). The water bearing inner pipe consists of a PEX-C standard basic pipe. It is very resistant against pressure, temperature, corrosion and durable according to DIN The butt welded aluminium cover serves as oxygen-tight layer, reduces the thermal extension and makes it stable in shape. However, it can be easily bent by hand. Due to the material compound of metal and PEX and the defined pipe construction of the ROTEX VA -STAB, remarkable advantages in quality are received. This is reflected by the practical processing as well as the high safety back-up for the manufacturer and the consumer. 6 ROTEX VA -STAB - In coils or rods. ROTEX VA -STAB can be delivered optionally in coils or in rods. This means you can choose between coils and rods depending on the building project or application field. Bending: simple and safe The ROTEX VA -STAB pipe can be bent by hand or with a bending machine constantly to the requested shape. Even when bending by hand, bending ratio up to 5 x pipe diameter are possible without problems. The danger of buckling is minimized by the support of the thick-walled basic pipe. That means, that there is no need for bending springs. For bending ratio of 3 x pipe diameter or more and for visual perfect appearance (surface mounting) we recommend a bending machine. The modular manifold Within an installation system the manifold has a high and central meaning. The ROTEX VA system has a solution: The modular ROTEX VA sliding sleeve manifold! It is made of PPSU like the fittings and you can combine connections of 16mm and 20mm. Also the supply pipe can be made with sliding sleeve technology. That means that there is no screw-coupling used within the whole water distribution system. The PPSU manifold has, compared to metal-manifolds, a better behaviour against sound- and heat insulation. At the same time washout of metal ions is excluded. 8 ROTEX VA -System. Fields of application Warranty Approval All kinds of heating and sanitary installation within a temperature range up to 95 C and 10 bars pressure. Suitable for surface and concealed mounting. Application for all kinds of drinking water, all ph concentrations and degrees of hardness. On all water bearing parts of the VA installation system we grant 10 years.
