2 Thank you for purchasing the ROBBE "". The model is a modern moulded foam model, largely assembled, with a wide range of applications. In order to ensure that you will enjoy the model for a long time and especially to ensure a smooth first flight, please read this manual carefully and follow the steps exactly as they are done. Pay particular attention to all safety instructions for operation of the model in order not to endanger yourself or others! Due to the advancing technical developments, changes in the sense of technical progress are subject to change without notice. The construction of the model does not require extensive tooling and should also be easy for less experienced model builders. Nevertheless, it is not a beginner model! If you are unsure, please contact one of our dealers or ask for our service. Many model flying clubs also offer assistance. After purchasing the model, check the contents for completeness and damage. Always proceed with appropriate responsibility when operating the model to avoid causing personal injury or property damage! Pay attention to valid insurance coverage! Fly only within the scope of the legal regulations and on permitted places! After finishing the flight, always remove the battery from the model! High heat (for example in a locked car) or extreme cold can damage the model and its components! Packaging or parts of packaging may endanger children! Store them immediately in a safe place. The use of model making articles requires knowledge and practice. Only put the model into operation if you are sufficiently trained! Warranty conditions: The warranty covers 24 months from the date of purchase, material or functional defects. However, not damage due to improper use, wear and tear, overloading or similar! Except for warranties within the framework of statutory provisions. No liability can be accepted for printing errors!

5 1. Assembly of the tailplane: Position the tailplane as shown in the illustration at the fuselage end and screw it tightly to the fuselage from above using the M4x25 screw. Make sure that the screw is firmly seated and do not overtighten the screw! 2. Assembly of the rudder: Insert the rudder into the recess provided for this purpose on the fuselage and tighten it with screw M4x35 from below. Make sure that you also have a tight fit without damaging the screw connection!
6 3. Rudder connections: The two clevis heads for the rudder and elevator must now be mounted in the corresponding rudder horn on the 3rd hole and screwed tight. Make sure that the screw is only tightened firmly, that the linkage remains smooth running! too tight! optimal!
7 Operating instructions 4. Assembly of the wings: The two wing halves are attached to the fuselage by means of CRP tube 10mm. At the same time, thread the servo connection cable through the hole provided on the fuselage and make sure that the servo cable is not jammed! The wings are secured to the underside of the wing by means of a screw on the underside of the wing. Make sure that you are seated safely without damaging the screw connection by stretching it over! The two winglets have to be fixed to the edging arch with screws M3x10.
8 5. Electrical connection: Now all servos must be connected to the receiver according to the sequence of connections of your remote control system. If your remote control system cannot handle two aileron servos, the model is supplied with a V-cable for one receiver channel. The controller is also connected to the receiver. 6. Final adjustments: Next, all rudder functions and engine control on the transmitter must be set. In case of rudder deflections, we recommend that you use the following values for your first flight, which you can later adjust to suit your personal preferences. ATTENTION: We recommend that you disassemble the propeller for safety reasons during all adjustment work on the remote control system in order to avoid injuries caused by e. g. sudden starting of the engine. 9 7: Center of gravity: In order to achieve maximum flight performance, a correct centre of gravity is essential. For the first flight, make sure that the centre of gravity of 60mm behind the leading edge (measured at the fuselage base) is reached by moving the battery. Ideally, the fuselage should be levelled with the correct centre of gravity and a lightly suspended nose. ATTENTION: if the centre of gravity is not correct, this can lead to a fall and may result in the following lead to property damage and personal injury! I< 60mm >I
10 8. Tips and notes for the first flight: Before the first flight, check again that all mechanical and electrical connections are tightly connected. We also recommend to check this before every flight, as well as the direction of action of the control deflections! ATTENTION: Loose wings, or other parts of the model may cause a crash. lead to property damage and personal injury! Use the model only on suitable flying terrain and make sure not to endanger pedestrians in the vicinity or property! To get the model into the air, all you need to do is to push the model lightly by hand with the motor switched on and the trajectory slightly tilted upwards. The model should then take off slightly uphill. Otherwise, trim corrections must establish the desired flight direction. The effectiveness of the rudders and the individual control deflections can then be flown at a sufficient altitude. The optimum centre of gravity can also be checked by slightly "pressing" the centre of gravity (soft inclination downwards) and then observing the interceptor sheet. The rule of thumb applies here, if the model's intercept sheet is too abrupt without the need for tax inputs, the model is too top-heavy. By contrast, the model would be too tail-heavy if it maintains its trajectory or even tends towards the ground! ATTENTION: A tail-weighted model is critical in flight characteristics! 11 Hazard warnings for flight models: Inform all viewers to maintain a safety distance of at least 5 meters. Never steer your model airplane towards people, animals or high voltage lines. Avoid public roads, pathways, squares and places where people may be present. Be considerate about the aircraft noise you're causing. Hazard notes Controller: Make sure that you do not reverse polarity of the battery, that you avoid short circuits in the cables, that the drive motor is effectively suppressed and that the air can circulate well. Use polarity reversal protected plug systems. All cables and connections should be well insulated. The regulator must not come into contact with grease or oil. The regulators are only intended for use in battery operated, remote controlled models. No other operation is permitted. Always perform a range test. Only use the connectors, original parts and accessories recommended by us. Do not make any changes to the controller unless stated in the description. Important: Before plugging in the controller, make sure with the other operators that your transmitter is the only one to operate on this frequency if you are not using a 2.4 GHz system. Before switching on the transmitter, always set the throttle lever to "Stop". Hazard notes Motor: Motors are not suitable for persons under 14 years of age. Commissioning may only be carried out under the constant supervision of an adult who is familiar with the hazards. Before every operation, check the seat of the motor and the propeller. Never let a motor start up in the hand. Protect the motor from dirt and moisture. Do not allow foreign bodies to enter the motor. Always keep a safety distance from the rotating propeller (air screws can severed fingers!!!!!). Always maintain the maximum permissible speed of the motor and propeller. Disposal of electrical appliances : After use, please remove all batteries and dispose of them separately. Hand over old electrically operated equipment free of charge to the collection points of the municipalities for electronic scrap. The remaining parts belong to the household waste. Thank you for your cooperation! Safety information for LiPo batteries Exact data on load capacity and dimensions can be found on our homepage and in the catalogue. Information on the permanent load-bearing capacity of the cells is only valid for optimum cooling. Lithium-polymer batteries (short: LiPo batteries) require particularly careful treatment. This applies to loading and unloading as well as storage and other handling. IMPORTANT! It is imperative that you obey the following special instructions: Malpractice can lead to explosion, fire, smoke and poisoning. Failure to observe the instructions and warnings will result in a loss of performance and may lead to a deterioration in the performance of the unit. other defects. Only with proper storage and charging with an optimum charger can you expect the maximum service life and, with charging cycles with a power drop of only approx. 20% charge. With a non-optimal charger, the capacity decreases significantly with every charge/discharge and this also the service life. Storage at too high or too low temperatures may cause a gradual reduction in capacity. General warnings - Avoid dangers! Do not burn batteries. Never immerse the cells in liquids. Keep batteries / cells out of the reach of children. Never disassemble LiPo batteries. Disassembling a battery may cause internal short circuits. Gas generation, fire and explosion or other problems can be the result. The electrolytes and electrolyte vapours contained in the LiPo batteries are harmful to health. Avoid direct contact with electrolytes in any case. If electrolytes come into contact with skin, eyes or other parts of the body, rinse immediately with plenty of fresh water and seek medical advice. Remove all batteries not required in the model. Always charge batteries in time. Store batteries on a non-inflammable, heat-resistant and nonconductive base! Fully discharged Li-Po batteries are defective and must not be used again! If the battery is out of operation, disconnect it from all loads such as Speed controllers, as they always consume a little power even when switched off. Otherwise, the battery could be destroyed by deep discharge.
12 Special instructions for charging LiPo batteries Because it's not possible to control the correct charging and discharging of the cells, any warranty due to faulty charging or discharging is excluded. Only approved chargers with balancer may be used to charge Li-Po batteries. The max. charging capacity must be limited to 1.05 times the battery capacity. Example: 700 mah battery = 735 mah max. loading capacity. Make sure that the number of cells and the discharge end voltage are set correctly. Observe the operating instructions of your charger/discharger. The battery to be charged must be placed on a non-flammable, heat-resistant and non-conductive base during the charging process! When charging, keep all combustible or highly flammable objects away from the battery. Batteries may only be charged and discharged under supervision. In principle, LiPo batteries connected in series may only be charged together in the pack if the voltage of the individual cells does not differ by more than 0.1 V from each other. If the deviation of the voltage of the individual cells is greater than 0.1 V, the cell voltage must be adjusted as precisely as possible by means of individual cell charging or discharge. Under these conditions, LiPo batteries with max. 1 C charging current. The indication 1 C charge current in ma corresponds to the capacity in mah; i. e. 200 ma for a 200 mah battery. Avoid a voltage of more than 4.2 V per cell in any case, as this may cause permanent damage to the cell and cause fire. To avoid overloading of individual cells in the pack, the cut-off voltage should be set to values between 3.1 V V per cell for a longer service life. For safety and to extend the service life, you can also charge batteries with a lower voltage. After each charging process, check that one of the cells in the pack has a voltage of more than 4.2V. All cells must have the same voltage. If the voltage of the individual cells deviates from each other by more than 0.1 V, the cell voltage must be equalized by individual cell charging or discharge. To prevent the cells from overloading after prolonged use in packs, they should be recharged individually on a regular basis. Never charge the battery cells with incorrect polarity. If the batteries are charged with reversed polarity, there are abnormal chemical reactions and the battery becomes unusable. This can cause fractures, smoke and flames! Special instructions for discharging LiPo batteries A continuous current of approx. 15 C does not pose a major problem for LiPo batteries. For larger currents, please refer to the information in the respective product data sheets. Discharge to below 2.5 V per cell permanently damages the cells. Avoid this deep discharge at all costs! It is essential to switch off the motor before you notice any loss of power. Then LiPo batteries would already be damaged. Therefore, leave a residual capacity of approx. 20% in the battery. If individual cells were to be fully charged differently, the regulator's low-voltage cut-off might be too late, so that individual cells could be deeply discharged. Avoid short circuits. A short circuit causes a very high current to flow which heats up the cells. This leads to electrolyte loss, gas leakage or even explosion. Due to the danger of a short circuit, avoid the proximity of conductive surfaces or contact with LiPo batteries. Permanent short circuits lead to destruction of the battery, high temperatures and possible damage to the battery. This can lead to spontaneous combustion. The batteries must never reach temperatures above 70 C during discharge. Provide cooling or lower discharge. You can easily check the temperature with an infrared thermometer. Stability of the battery housing foil The foil of the aluminium housing can easily be damaged by sharp objects such as needles, knives, nails, motor connections, soldering or similar. Damage to the foil renders the battery unusable. The battery must therefore be installed in the model in such a way that the battery cannot be deformed even in the event of a crash. The battery may burn if the battery is short-circuited. Temperatures above 70 C can also cause leakage of the housing. Loss of electrolyte renders the battery unusable. Add defective cells individually packed in poly bags or foil to the hazardous waste. Mechanical shock The LiPo batteries are not as mechanically stable as batteries in metal cases. Avoid mechanical shocks by falling, hitting, bending, etc. Therefore, you must never cut, tear, deform or drill the laminate film. Never bend or twist LiPo batteries. Do not apply pressure to the battery or terminals. Handling of the connections The LiPo connectors are not as robust as at other batteries. Especially the aluminium (+) connection can easily break off. Never use damaged cells. Damaged cells can be identified as follows: damaged housing packaging, deformation of the battery cells, smell of electrolytes, leaking electrolytes. In these cases, further use of the batteries is no longer permitted. Dispose of them. +14 Made in China This product is not a toy.
