4 AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT... Fertilizer Spreader For professional ground care/grass care, this towable spreader makes quick, even and light work of spreading fertilizer, seeds and powders. Example: travelling just 800 metres, its 12 metre spread width covers 10,000 square metres, hence easily achieving 100 kgs/ hectare. It can be towed by almost any vehicle including quad bikes, ATV, UTV, ride on lawn mowers and garden tractors on: playing fields, lawns, paddocks, meadows, golf courses, municipal parks and grounds. Designed to be used at approx 75 off the ground to collect magnetic items such as swarf, nuts, nails, washers, bolts etc. Typical applications include: paths, yards, workshops, car parks, loading bays. 8 CARPET & COIL HANDLING... Standard Carpet Booms Designed to handle cylindrical products. Can be manufactured in any length and diameter to suit any type or capacity of forklift or plant, in carriage or fork mounted versions. Special design features include: wide top hooks for optimum stability, extra thick and narrow back plates for longer life and maximum view of load, bottom hooks clamp boom firmly to truck carriage. High tensile poles are pressed into back plates to eliminate fatigue stresses caused by welding. Available up to 4 metres long and 50 to 400 m in diameter. The table below shows our standard popular carpet booms. Usually, the pole needs to be 0.75 x carpet length eg 4 metre carpet = 3 metre boom. 5 metre carpet = 3.75 metre boom. 15 FORK EXTENSIONS... Stirrup Style Quick and easy to fit, fork extension sleeves are designed to extend the trucks normal length forks, allowing long or out of reach loads to be handled. Fork length must be minimum 60% of length of fork extension. Safe Working Load (SWL) = truck capacity at extended load centre (normally ½ sleeve length). Our standard STOCK range sleeve thickness is 73, maximum fork thickness is 65 and are available any length up to (Please check 73 will fit under your loads). Stirrup type extension sleeves are normally supplied for forks having over 76 drop eg. FEM 2A and 3A. Loose pin type for all forks having or 76 drop eg. FEM 2B, 3B, 4A, Reach and Bar Type. 16 FORKS... Forklift Forks We can supply all types of Forklift Forks. Our large stock of Quality Forks all feature a reinforced Optima heel. This is a thicker heel for longer life to suit all makes and models of forklift trucks in all lengths. BFS can deliver forks anywhere in the UK, direct to your truck on plain label if required. We can offer discounts for collected or bulk orders. Plant Forks We can supply all types of Plant Forks in all lengths. Unlike forklift forks, plant forks are all different, specific to each make and model of machine. Therefore, although we carry stock of the more popular plant forks, we are geared up to quickly make up one off pairs of forks. Attachment Forks Attachment forks are special to the attachment they are fitted to. Therefore, they can be very expensive and often several weeks availability. 18 Duo Loc Folding Forks Protruding fork blades can pose significant risks to pedestrians and vehicles. They can also make transportation of forklifts and plant dangerous and difficult. DuoLoc folding forks, therefore, are safer and save space. Available in 2,000 and 2,500 kgs capacity per pair and in lengths from 800 to 1,600. Crane Hooks BFS crane hooks effectively transform a forklift into a mobile crane, handle awkward loads which cannot be safely handled by a conventional forklift with great efficiency. All crane hooks are supplied completed with safety swivel hook and shackle. Lightweight high strength. Its position along the forks can be easily adjusted, but not to be used on the taper. PB denotes plain bearing hook and BB denotes ball bearing hook (enables suspended load to be rotated). 24 LOAD PROTECTION... Anti Slip Fork Covers & Extensions Manufactured by BFS the same length as your existing forks, robust specially fabricated steel channels available in any length, topped with a number of steel reinforced polyurethane panels, anti-slip, protective, cut and wear resistant. Ideal for handling steel stillages, painted or delicate loads. Covers will increase your fork thickness by 23 on forks up to 40 thick and by 20 on thicker forks. Covers for narrower or wider forks to special order. Available as Anti-Slip Fork Extensions to special order. Normally we will supply as Stirrup type for all types of forks up to Pin type for longer forks. Sparkproof/Stainless Cladded Forks Stainless cladding of forks is often necessary for: - Explosive Environments eg.
