3 YEARS The coach-builder Johann Georg Doll was a hands-on man. In 1878 he opened his workshop Dollenschmiede in Oppenau in the Black Forest, thus founding a veritable dynasty of vehicle builders. His son Emil Doll put the small enterprise on track for the future. Under his leadership, the company began building superstructures and trailers for motorized commercial vehicles in the 1920s. One Doll generation later all the signs were pointing towards growth. The brothers Emil, Heinrich and Friedrich Doll started exporting vehicles to as far away as Africa. Founded 1878 Johann Georg Doll Over the decades the workshop has developed into an industrial company with a wide range of products and customers from all over the world. Today the long-established company, which is deeply rooted in the Black Forest, operates under the name of DOLL Fahrzeugbau GmbH.

This is why we attach the utmost importance to a solid mainstay in Germany we know where we come from, where we are today and where we are heading. The Black Forest town of Oppenau cannot be imagined without DOLL, the enterprise being a valuable employer and an asset for the region. The town is home to the main production plant, and this is where engineers and thinkers focus on the research and development relating to our vehicles. Our qualified staff, who assure the high quality of our products, come from the region, and it is in Oppenau that we train our junior staff, who will shape the enterprise and our products for many years to come. In 2009 the Oppenau parent plant founded a subsidiary in Mildenau in Saxony. This plant is currently employing some 40 staff members. This site manufactures some of our semitrailers and superstructures for timber and heavy haulage transportation as well as special-purpose vehicles. Moreover, DOLL Sachsen GmbH offers an extensive range of services such as retrofitting or overhauling second-hand vehicles as well as repairing damaged vehicles. CONTROL With the electronic control through CAN-Bus, all DOLL-specific functions can be operated in a reliable and user-friendly way. MAXIMUM TRANSPORT CAPACITY CONSTRUCTION The transport of timber, especially extremely long logs, in rough terrain is quite a challenge. Our range of semi-mounted combination tractors for long timber as well as versions for short timber transport and their respective crane superstructures including for off-road use will help you to cope with this challange. Thanks to their robust, lightweight design, our vehicles can carry heavy loads. LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN All trailers are not only available in conventional designs, but also in payload-optimized lightweight designs. 11 LOADING DECK The design of the loading deck depends on the individual requirements of our customers. To cover a wide range of demands, we can offer straight platform trailers, semi low-loaders or low-bed semitrailers. GOOSENECK To fit the different trailer types and the various application areas, you can choose the most suitable gooseneck from our standard program. Furthermore, additional equipment such as storage boxes and sideboards can be added. RUNNING GEAR The DOLL running gear program includes the standard air suspension, for long-distance use the DOLL panther that runs on hydraulic suspension, and for off-road terrain the pendulum axles.
