1 VSI Product Certification Program Official List of Certified Products and Colors Revised: November 12, 2018 VSI s Official List of Certified Products and Colors is updated when changes occur. Certified products on this list have been independently certified to meet or exceed either ASTM, the Standard Specification for Rigid Poly(Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Siding, ASTM D7793, the Standard Specification for Insulated Vinyl Siding, or ASTM D7254, the Standard Specification for Polypropylene (PP) Siding. Colors listed as certified must meet or exceed the requirements for ASTM, ASTM D7793, or ASTM D7254, as well as either ASTM D6864, the Standard Specification for Color and Appearance Retention of Solid Colored Plastic Siding Products, ASTM D7251, the Standard Specification for Color and Appearance Retention of Variegated Color Plastic Siding Products, or ASTM D7856, the Standard Specification for Color and Appearance Retention of Solid and Variegated Color Plastic Siding Products using CIELab Color Space. Color retention certification is optional. To assure ongoing compliance with the VSI Product Certification Program, manufacturers of certified products are subject to unannounced site inspections. If a product does not meet or exceed ASTM, ASTM D7793 or ASTM D7254, or if a color does not comply with ASTM D6864, ASTM D7251, or ASTM D7856, it will be removed from VSI s Official List of Certified Products and Colors until the manufacturer makes the necessary changes to ensure compliance. Likewise, additional products or colors are added to the list when they qualify for certification.
