2 Company History a lot of things would still be around 303 Products Quality, Customer Service, Concern for the Environment, Satisfied Customers The Beginning Over 30 years ago, Dennis Praegitzer recognized that the aviation/aerospace industry needed something that did not exist: A protective chemical treatment for rubber and plastics that actually PROTECTED against UV and ozone degradation. After 2 years of working with a top polymer chemist, and after testing over 50 different formulations, one was finally determined to meet the criteria the world s first UV-screening surface treatment. This formulation, later renamed 303 Aerospace Protectant, was sold in aviation/aerospace only until 1985, when it was repackaged for consumers and introduced into the U.S. Marine and RV aftermarkets.
