All chemical products are specially tested for compatibility with the materials in our vehicles and meet our high quality standards. They have only been approved under Daimler AG s strict, self-imposed environmental conditions and tested through external laboratories. Our demanding delivery specifications, as well as implementation of an environmental management system acknowledged by our suppliers, guarantee adherence to these high standards. It was initially only intended for the identification of products, but since 2000 there has also been the option of marking services with the EU Ecolabel. It is the only official environmental label that can be used in all EU countries. It is awarded to products and services that have lower environmental impact than comparable ones. Use: Shake before use! Vacuum carpets and floor mats in conjunction with MB fabric upholstery cleaner A and allow to dry. 11 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Cockpit lotion Part number A ml Easy to use when cleaning high-quality fittings. Protects plastic and leather from aging and cleans them. Anti-static effect, does not attract dust. is environmentally compatible and not harmful to health. It is approved by the material testing and ecology department of Daimler AG. Use: Shake before use! Apply MB cockpit lotion sparingly and spread gently using a soft, fluff-free rag. Do not put onto hot plastic or leather and do not use where directly exposed to sunlight. Container type: PE/PA bottle with childproof lock and screw cap. Composition: Contains emulsifying agents, hydrocarbons, additives and propellant gas. Area of use: Cockpit areas of all MB vehicles. 12 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Interior glass cleaner Part number A A ml 500 ml Window cleaning agent with anti-misting effect. Removes dirt, grease and nicotine in one application. Phosphate-free. Use: Spray MB vehicle glass cleaner onto the inside glass or plastic windows which need cleaning (inside and outside of plastic windows) and clean with a damp cloth or sponge. Then rub dry with a cloth, chamois or tissue paper. Container type: PE trigger bottle. Composition: Contains anionic tensides, polyhydric alcohols and additives. Area of use: For continuous care of the inside of glass and plastic windows as well as the plastic windows on convertible models of MB vehicles. 12

Apply a few drops to a soft rag and lightly rub into any plastic parts which need cleaning, e.g. dashboard, door panels. Container type: PE/PA bottle with childproof lock and screw cap. In addition a black, top-quality leisure bag as packing. The interior car care kit contains the following products: MB cockpit lotion A Interior glass cleaner A Interior glass sponge (imitation leather pad), printed with MB logo. Car care cloth (imitation leather, 390 x 350mm, neutral colour, non-perforated, printed, packed in cellophane). These products are also available individually. 15 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Stain remover Part number A ml Removes not only oil, grease and wax, but also chocolate and biro stains as well as marks left by shoe polish when leaving the vehicle. Use: Apply a few drops to a soft rag and lightly rub into those plastic or fabric surfaces which need cleaning. Container type: PE/PA bottle with childproof lock and screw cap. Composition: Contains hydrocarbons and additives. Area of uses: For plastic surfaces or fabric upholstery in the interiors of all MB vehicles, e.g. seats, door panels. Not for use on leather! 16 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Leather care foam Part number A ml Easy to use for the care of high-quality interiors. Protects leather against ageing, keeps leather supple and clean. Anti-static effect, does not attract dust. Only suitable for the care of smooth leather. Use: Shake before use! Foam MB leather care foam onto a soft, lint-free cloth (polishing tissue A ) and distribute over the areas to be cleaned. Wipe dry after 2 3 minutes. Do not apply on hot leather and do not use in direct sunshine. Container type: HDPE bottle with foam nozzle. Composition: Contains anionic and non-ionic tensides, alcohol and solubilisers, native fats and propellant gas. Area of use: All MB vehicles with leather interior (leather upholstery). 16

17 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Textile upholstery cleaner Part number A ml Gets rid of dirt and nicotine. Freshens up upholstery colours. Use: First, vacuum clean or brush off any loose dust or dirt. Treat the upholstery which needs cleaning with the product and leave for about 1 minute, rub well with a dampened sponge and leave to dry for approx. 2 hours. Then vacuum clean thoroughly. If there is heavy soiling, repeat the process. In the case of seat covers first test on an inconspicuous spot for colour fastness. Container type: Bottle with foam nozzle. Composition: Contains anionic and non-ionic tensides, solubilisers and additives. Area of use: Fabric upholstery, carpets and, if appropriate, the roof lining in all MB vehicles. Interior 17

18 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Cotton cloth Part number A Fluffy, extreme soft, dust binding. Ideally and gently removes residues on delicate surfaces and dries wet windows. Use: Do not crumble up the cloth during usage. Keep moving onto a new area as you wipe. Composition: 100 % cotton. 18

Suitable for all smooth (e.g. glass, mirror, plastic) and rough surfaces (e.g. upholstery, headliners, structured cockpits, etc.). Use: Please wash cloth before use. 26 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Car shampoo Part number A ml Phosphate-free detergents. For a thorough cleaning, for example, to prevent flash rust. Easy dosing. Testing by Daimler s technical department has shown that the product is environmentally compatible and not harmful to health. It is approved Use: Open sealed lid, fill measuring cap by squeezing. Add this amount to a bucket containing 5 litres of water, stir well or mix the water with the MB car shampoo using a powerful jet. Wash the car (not in the sun or when the engine bonnet is warm only use a soft sponge), rinse with clean water and dry off with a chamois. Container type: Plastic bottle with metering head. Composition: Aqueous tenside solution, phosphate-free. Area of use: For all MB vehicles. 26

27 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Wheel cleaner Part number A A ml 5 l Removes stubborn fouling such as aggressive brake dust, oil deposits and other road grime, leaving nothing behind. Because it comes as a gel, it sticks to the fouling for a long time, dissolving it more quickly. Use: Spray evenly onto dry or damp rims and hubcaps from a short distance. Depending on the degree of fouling, leave for 1 5 minutes to take effect. If required, also use a sponge or brush. Then, thoroughly rinse with a powerful jet of water or, better still, with a high-pressure washer. Please note: Do not use in blazing sunshine or on hot rims. Not to be used on unpainted, polished aluminium rims. Container type: Bottle with pump sprayer/plastic canister. Composition: Aqueous, alkaline cleaning agent. Acid and phosphate-free. Contains no organic solvents. Application area: Cleaner for all carbon-steel and light-alloy wheels, also for chromed and polished wheels of MB vehicles. It does not attack either the surface of the wheels or the wheel bolts. Tip: Repeat application for severe fouling. Loosen heavy fouling with a sponge or with the brush supplied (with 500 ml). 29 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Convertible top cleaner Part number A ml Removes dirt, nicotine, squashed insects, bird droppings. For all-year-round use. is environmentally compatible and not harmful to health. It is approved Use: Sweep or vacuum off any loose soiling. Spray MB Convertible top cleaner evenly and leave for 1 2 minutes to take effect and clean with a damp sponge. Wash again with a wet sponge and dry with a cloth. Container type: PE bottle with pump sprayer. Composition: Contains anionic and non-ionic tensides as well as solubilisers. Area of use: Inside and outside of cabriolet convertible tops of MB vehicles. Exterior 29

30 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Chrome care Part number A ml The new MB chrome cleaner is ideal for the care of decorative trim. It thoroughly and gently restores dull and corroded areas on decorative trim and removes soiling and residual rust. The original shine is restored and simultaneously preserved with a protective film that prevents rust from reforming. Another major advantage of this product is that it can be used to care for both chromed and painted areas: the chrome cleaner removes light scratches and may be used on paintwork. Use: Wash the vehicle with MB car shampoo. Apply the paste to the clean, dry surface using cotton wool or a soft cloth. Rub in with moderate or heavy pressure depending on the purpose. Allow to dry then polish thoroughly. Also effective on paintwork which has become dull or weathered and to remove light surface scratches. Finally, buff the treated surface to a high sheen with MB polish and seal with MB gloss preservative. Attention: Not suitable for use on aluminium parts. Packaging: Plastic tube to hang up with wrapping label. Area of use: Removal of corrosion and blushed, blind positions on chrome body trims on all MB vehicles. 30

31 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Insect remover Part number A A A ml 500 ml 5 l MB insect remover removes insect fouling particularly quickly from glass, painted, chrome and plastic surfaces, without harming these materials. Due to its outstanding penetration and coverage qualities, the cleaner easily softens even dried-on insect remains attached to the paint which would otherwise only be removed by polishing with a product containing an abrasive agent (e.g. MB polish or fine polishing paste). Use: Adjust spray head to required spray shape. Spray well over the area to be treated and leave for a few minutes to take effect. Then, thoroughly rinse with water and wash the car as usual. Particular advice: Do not apply in blazing sunshine or onto hot paintwork. Do not let the product dry on the paintwork. Tip: Outstandingly suited as a pre-cleaning agent for car washes. If insect remains are allowed to remain for long periods on vehicle paintwork, this can lead to corrosion. Container type: PE bottle with pump sprayer / plastic canister. Composition: Aqueous tenside solution, phosphate-free. Area of use: For all glass, painted, chrome and plastic surfaces. Exterior 31

For quiet wiper blade operation. Gentle on paintwork and synthetic materials. For all-year-round use. Testing by Daimler s technical department has shown that the product is environmentally compatible and not harmful to health. It is approved Use: Shake before use! Apply a few drops to the pane of glass and rub all over with a soft rag or dampened sponge. Once dry, shine with a dry cloth. Do not use on paint, plastic and vulcanised rubber. Container type: PE/PA bottle with childproof lock and screw cap. Composition: Contains non-ionic surfactants, alcohols and mineral powders in aqueous emulsion. Area of use: Cleaning the car windows outside (except plastic disks) on all MB vehicles. 32

33 Mercedes-Benz Genuine SummerFit windscreen washer concentrate Part number A A A ml (25 piece display) 250 ml 20 l After only a few wiper blade sweeps, it eliminates the glare effect caused by drying equipment, hot waxes and preserving agents used in car washes. Removes road film from windscreens in both dry and wet conditions. Prevents dangerous light scattering. Compatible with all surfaces and components used in the area of use (paint, plastic, metal and rubber). Use: Mixing ratios (1:100) SummerFit (1) : Water (100) (1 bottle) 40 ml : 4 l 250 ml : 25 l Tip: Use Mercedes-Benz insect remover to remove dried insect matter. Container type: 40 ml PE bottle with screw cap, 250 ml PE bottle with dosing cap, 20 l PE canister. Composition: Aqueous anionic and non-ionic tenside solution with additives. Area of use: For all Mercedes-Benz vehicles as an additive for windscreen washer system, cleaning front and rear windscreens (if applicable) as well as headlamp lenses in summer. Exterior 33

34 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Tar remover Part number A ml MB tar remover gently and thoroughly removes tar and oil stains as well as other stubborn fouling. Cleans by itself without the need for rubbing or scraping and can be sprayed from any position because of its special valve. Even removes underfloor protection and cavity sealing splashes plus remains of stickers. Use: Spray MB tar remover either directly onto the affected area or apply it with a soft cloth. Leave it to take effect for a few minutes, then wipe off with a damp cloth or wash the whole vehicle and reseal the treated surfaces with MB gloss preserver. Please note: Do not spray onto turn signal and stop lamps. Be careful with new or re-sprayed paint. Container type: Aerosol can. Composition: Mixture of organic solvents with emulsifying agent. Area of use: For all painted parts and chrome surfaces of MB vehicles. 34

35 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Polishing tissue Part number A pieces This soft and fleecy cloth is lint-free and will not scratch or damage the paintwork. The structure of the cloth ensures optimum utilisation of MB car care products (paint cleaner, polish, gloss preserver). Cleaning products are very efficiently absorbed by the cloth and applied to the paintwork in the correct amounts. The excellent qualities of the cloth remain unchanged even when using solvents. is environmentally compatible and not harmful to health. It is approved by the material testing and ecology department of Daimler AG. Use: Take a polishing cloth from the wrapper and apply the MB car care product to the clean, dry paintwork (follow the instructions for the care product). Use a fresh cloth to polish to a high gloss. Tip: Always use a fresh cloth for the final polish. Container type: Foil. Composition: 70 % viscose, 30 % polyester. Area of use: Robust, absorbent cloth for cleaning and polishing paintwork. 42 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Paintwork cleaner Part number A ml 5-fold polishing effect with no hazing of the shine, maximum freshening up of the colour and depth of lustre, particularly easy to work with. Tip: always treat part surfaces, clean vehicle beforehand; finally, produce a long-term seal by using MB gloss preserver. Use: Wash the car before applying (if by hand, then with MB car shampoo). Get rid of tar spots with MB tar remover. Shake contents well before use. Apply paint cleaner thinly to dry paintwork with MB polishing fabric or MB polishing cotton. Rub over, applying moderate to hard pressure, until the desired shine is attained. Then treat with MB polish and MB gloss preserver. Use: For cleaning and polishing lacklustre and severely weathered paintwork. Removes slight scratches and restores the original depth to the colour. Container type: PET bottle with flip-up nozzle. Composition: Solvent-free polish with abrasive agents. Aqueous emulsion, containing silicone. 42

43 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Paint polish Part number A ml Extremely deep shine without hazing. Washer system grey hazing is easily removed. Long-lasting protection over many weeks. Tip: Always treat part surfaces. Clean vehicle beforehand. Use: Wash and dry car. Get rid of tar spots with MB tar remover. Shake contents before use. Apply thinly using a circular motion with MB polishing fabric or cotton. Leave it for a short time to take effect and then polish to a mirror finish with MB polishing fabric or cotton. Only treat part surfaces and do not apply to plastic. Do not use in blazing sunshine or on hot paintwork. Container type: PET bottle with flip-up nozzle. Composition: Solvent-free polish with fine abrasive agents, emulsion containing silicone. Area of use: For cleaning mint condition and slightly lacklustre MB multicolour and metallic paints. Produces a stripe-free mirror finish. Paint 43

44 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Gloss preserver Part number A ml Protects paintwork and maintains existing gloss level. MB gloss preserver can be used immediately after washing the car (no need to wipe dry first with chamois leather). Tip: if the vehicle is only slightly dirty, MB gloss preserver can also be used without washing the car beforehand. If the MB gloss preserver is dried in, simply re-apply and wipe off immediately. For small scratches and dull/weathered paintwork we recommend the use of MB polish. Use: After washing the car, remove tar spots with MB tar remover, give the paintwork a high gloss with MB polish, thinly apply MB gloss preserver to the surface while still damp, spread with a damp cloth or sponge and polish (seal) immediately using a MB polishing cloth. Without gloss-inducing components. Phosphate free. Use: Churn up 50 ml of Matt Finish shampoo in roughly 10 litres of water. Because of the high cleaning capacity involved, clean the vehicle from below upwards. Following an exposure period of 1 2 minutes with high pressure or fierce water spray, rinse off. 50 Mercedes-Benz Genuine High-gloss polish Part number A l Silicone-free machine polish. Ideal finish polish for paintwork that has been machine pre-polished. No holograms or polishing marks on the paintwork when used properly. Use: Shake well before use! Wash vehicle. Apply a small amount of product onto a fine-pored, medium-hard polishing sponge. Set polishing machine to lowest speed and polish the area briefly while applying medium pressure. Increase to medium speed (1,200 rpm) and let the machine polish the surface while applying moderate pressure. Always work on whole sections of the vehicle. The structure of the cloth ensures optimum utilisation of MB car care products (paint cleaner, polish, gloss preserver). These are very efficiently absorbed by the cloth and applied to the paintwork in the exact amounts. The excellent qualities of the cloth remain unchanged even when using solvents. Use: Take a polishing cloth from the wrapper and apply the MB car care product to the clean, dry paintwork (follow the instructions for the care product). Use a fresh cloth to polish to a high gloss. 58 Mercedes-Benz Genuine Window defrosting agent Part number A ml An excellent window defroster with anti-misting properties. One application will quickly and reliably remove layers of ice up to 0.1 mm thick even at -15 C. is environmentally compatible and not harmful to health. Use: Remove any snow. If the windows are iced up, spray sufficient MB defroster onto the frosted windows. Product takes immediate effect. If used in the interior, spray MB defrosting agent onto a cloth and wipe the windows with it. Container type: PE bottle with trigger. Composition: Contains non-ionic tensides, alcohol and glycols.
