Upholstery Below is a list of upholstery grades and prices available. Please contact your local sales representative or The Buckstaff Company for our stock fabric and vinyl sample sheets. Maintenance Plastic laminates may be cleaned with a damp cloth and ordinary bar soap. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners. Wood surfaces may be cleaned with a dry polishing cloth. Abrasive cleaners should never be used. Lemon oil is the only cleaner we recommend. The use of water or water-based cleaners, furniture polish, or abrasive cleaners for cleaning wood surfaces will void our warranty. Environmental Conditions: The U.S. Forest Products Laboratory, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Report No. 1655, recommends that wood used in interior construction be kiln dried to between 6-8% moisture content (mc), oven dry basis for most geographic locations in the U.S. This moisture content is in equilibrium with a relative humidity (RH) range of 30-43% and with a temperature range of degrees Fahrenheit, which is in the range of indoor conditions best suited for human occupancy. Should conditions be allowed outside these ranges, the wood will either shrink or swell as the environment becomes drier or damper. When this occurs, all wood components of the furniture may develop surface cracks or checks or possibly warp. It is therefore incumbent upon the owner/user to maintain the above indicated temperature and humidity levels where the furniture is stored or used. The Buckstaff Company Page Price Guide
