4 Price and Application Guide Page 4 This document provides a complete listing of all currently available inan Performance Products for each BMW and MINI model. You will find a section for each model which includes: the available performance products, specific production date ranges, inan s part numbers, the suggested retail price, recommended installation units, current emissions status, and any related notes concerning the products. This document also contains a Performance Engine and Transmission Software (Chip) Application Guide, which begins on page 128. This listing of inan Performance Chips provides the specific information required in order to determine the appropriate software for a given model. Installation Labor Labor units are provided as a reference for determining your retail installation price for each inan Performance Product. Each labor unit represents 1/10 of an hour. inan recommends, however, that the installation is sold based upon the number of labor units published, not the time required to install the product. The actual installation time may vary depending upon the technician s experience and other factors. When determining the installation units required for Suspension Systems and Components, please be aware of the following: Labor units indicated for suspension systems include alignment. Labor units indicated for individual suspension components are for the product indicated only, assuming that the item is being installed separately. Labor units indicated for individual suspension components do not include an alignment, although it may be advised after installing some products. Labor units indicated for shocks, struts and bushings are for each item, even though the products may typically be installed in pairs. Core Exchange Program Some inan products are sold on an exchange basis and a refundable core deposit is charged on the invoice which reflects the core value of the item. The amount of the refundable core deposit for applicable products is listed as a footnote after the retail price of each item. An item returned under the core exchange program is eligible for a full refund of the core deposit when it meets the following criteria: The word core is prominently displayed on the carton. The core is accompanied by a copy of the original inan invoice. The core is returned within 30 days of receipt of the original shipment by the dealer. The core is fully functional for the specific make, model, and year car as the item supplied by inan. The core is in good condition (can be reused) and has not been modified. Cores returned to inan that do not meet the above criteria, or are damaged in any way, will be returned to the dealer and the core deposit considered forfeited. Limited Warranty inan s Limited Warranty statement begins on page 133. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the specifics of inan s product warranties and ask you to contact your inan representative with any questions that you may have about our warranty coverage. We consider our comprehensive warranty program to be an important component of each inan product. Modification of the Product Line inan reserves the right to modify, improve, alter or discontinue products and to develop new products that, in its discretion, are necessary or advisable. 5 Price and Application Guide Page 5 Software Copyrights All inan software (inan Performance Engine and Transmission Chips and ownloads ) is copyright protected. Any unauthorized duplication of inan Performance Chips and/or Software is strictly forbidden and any violation will be vigorously prosecuted. Product Returns All product returns must be pre-authorized by inan s Customer Service epartment in order to identify the specific reasons for the return and to expedite processing. A Return Receipt number will be issued to identify the specifics of a particular return, which must be prominently displayed on the shipping carton. Unauthorized returns or products returned for reasons other than warranty adjustment are subject to a 20% restocking charge. iscontinued items will not be accepted for a credit/refund and will be returned to the shipper. Emissions Statusons Status Identificat Each inan Engine Tuning product is designated with a <1>, <2>,<3> or <0> in the Notes column after its listing, denoting the current Street Legal Status of the item and any potential restrictions on the sale or installation of the product on pollution controlled motor vehicles. Following are the definitions for each of the Street Legal Status symbols: <1> 50 State Emission Legal. This product has been granted an exemption by the California Air Resources Board and is in compliance with U.S. EPA Memorandum 1A, or is a replacement part. <2> 49 State Emissions Legal. This product is in compliance with U.S. EPA Memorandum 1A, or this product has not been found, nor is believed to be, unlawful for use under the provisions of the Clean Air Act. Currently: This product is legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway. <3> Racing Only. This product is not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution controlled motor vehicles. Legal only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway. <0> Status Pending. Street Legal Status pending. Currently: This product is not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution controlled motor vehicles. We encourage you to contact a inan Performance Representative with any questions that you may have about the current Street Legal Status of any inan Engine Tuning Product. s Advisory for California ealers The environmental impact of vehicle emissions is important to us from both a social conscience and legal perspective. We actively support emissions legislation that protects the environment. Most inan products have already been tested and are 50 state emissions legal. Testing of inan products for emissions legal status is an ongoing process. The current emissions status of each product is indicated in this Price and Application Guide, as well as all literature covering our products. There are certain restrictions in the state of California with regard to the installation of products that may potentially effect emissions on new vehicles, even when the product has been granted an exemption by the California Air Resources Board. This section provides California dealers with pertinent information regarding emissions laws, particularly for new cars, in an effort to avoid potentially illegal modifications to vehicles. California Vehicle Code Section and prohibit the disconnection, modification or alteration of any required pollution control device. These are the Anti-Tampering laws and they provide stiff penalties for violations such as removal of catalytic converters or EGR systems. None of the products that inan produces for street use cause the disconnection or rendering inoperative of any pollution control device or element of design, nor does inan recommend or condone the disconnection or rendering inoperative of any pollution control device or element of design. The Anti-Tampering laws prohibit the sale or use of aftermarket automotive products which may affect the emissions performance of the vehicles they apply to, unless the product has been

6 Emissions Status (cont.) Page 6 granted an Exemption from the prohibitions of Sections and issued an Executive Order by the California Air Resources Board. The Exemption process and the Executive Orders provide a means by which manufacturers and consumers can comply with California regulations. inan has been providing high performance products for BMWs which are in compliance with California and federal regulations for over a decade, and will continue to expand our product line in the future. Testing of inan products is an ongoing process and new Street Legal products will be included in subsequent catalogs and press releases. Only vehicles which are as originally equipped by the manufacturer, with regard to emissions, may be offered for sale as a new vehicle in California in any advertisement or on any new car lot. Used vehicles may be modified and subsequently offered for sale in advertisements and on car lots. Once a new vehicle has been selected by an ultimate purchaser, financial arrangements may be made for the purchase of the vehicle as well as any modifications which the ultimate purchaser may want performed on his/her vehicle. Once ownership of the vehicle has been transferred to the ultimate purchaser it is no longer being offered for sale to the public and it may have any legal modifications done to it. Vehicles in this category are not on display and do not have manufacturers window stickers or any other type of price tag on them. These vehicles are sold. Following is a list of inan Performance Products that have been submitted to the California Air Resources Board for an Exemption. These products are not currently legal for sale or use in California on any pollution controlled motor vehicle, although an Exemption is anticipated in the next few months. No, because inan s warranty matches the remaining term of the original vehicle manufacturer s new car warranty as well as covering any affected factory components. How long are inan products covered? For the remaining term of the Original Vehicle Manufacturer s New Car Warranty, up to 4 years / 50,000 miles or 2 years / unlimited mileage, whichever offers the longest coverage. inan Performance Engine and Transmission software are guaranteed for life. 11 Engine Tuning Products Page 11 PERFORMANCE ENGINE SOFTWARE Engine management software is the first step to increasing power in today s advanced engines. inan software takes full advantage of premium pump fuel (91+ octane) by reprogramming the fuel mixture and ignition timing for maximum performance and driveability. The software also raises the stock rev-limit, producing a broader power band and greater road speed in each gear. The top speed governor is removed as well, allowing the car to attain the maximum speed possible given the available power and gearing. inan Performance Engine Software is guaranteed for life. All of the guesswork has been eliminated as inan provides complete suspension packages consisting of fully matched components for unparalleled handling and a well dampened ride. inan Suspension Systems are available in three to four different stages, depending upon the model. INAN PERFORMANCE WHEELS STRUT AN SHOCK TOWER BRACES Front and Rear Shock Tower Braces provide crisper handling by reducing the flex that occurs at the shock towers. And they look great. Made from strong, lightweight 6061-T6 brushed aluminum. STAGE 1 SUSPENSION Stage 1 lays the foundation for performance handling. The systems typically consist of a set of performance springs along with fully matched struts and shock absorbers. Many inan systems offer a choice of Bilstein or Koni externally adjustable struts and shocks, providing the driver with personal control of ride quality and handling characteristics. The Stage 1 Suspension Systems offer greater control over the pitch and roll associated with the stock suspension, while providing a nicely dampened ride. STAGE 2 SUSPENSION Stage 2 Systems add larger and adjustable anti-roll bars to the Stage 1 components for greater control of body roll. By keeping the body of the car flatter in the turns, the larger bars insure the best possible traction for fast and predictable cornering. The bars are also adjustable, allowing the driver to fine tune for the most neutral handling possible. STAGE 3 SUSPENSION Stage 3 Systems add front Camber Plates to the Stage 2 components for a very noticeable improvement in turn-in. The Camber Plates produce more negative camber on the front wheels for improved traction in the turns, dramatically reducing understeer or the car s tendency to push straight ahead when you want the car STAGE to turn-in. 4 SUSPENSION Aggressive drivers will also realize more even front tire wear as the additional negative camber will reduce the outside edge wear. STAGE 4 SUSPENSION Stage 4 Suspensions add a Camber Adjustable Rear Subframe Kit to the Stage 3 components for maximum grip at the rear of the cars. By providing camber control at the rear of the cars, the driver can adjust for maximum tire wear, traction and varying driving conditions, such as track events. Not available for all models.

14 riveline Tuning Products Page 14 Performance Automatic Transmission Software Sporty acceleration is no longer the sole domain of those who like to shift gears. inan s Automatic Transmission Software raises the shift points in both the Sport and Economy modes for quicker acceleration and greater road speed in each gear. In addition, the software provides firmer and quicker shifts for most late model applications ( models), further improving acceleration. Limited Slip ifferentials As the cornering ability of a vehicle is increased, traction during on throttle cornering is compromised if the vehicle is not equipped with a limited slip differential. This is why M-Cars come equipped with limited slip from the factory. Limited slip improves the distribution of power between the two rear drive wheels, allowing for higher cornering speeds and the traction needed to propel the vehicle out of turns with authority. inan offers a broad range of limited slip differentials for BMW models. Modified Final rive Gearing Acceleration can be further improved by lowering the final drive gear ratio of the differential, effectively increasing the amount of torque delivered to the ground. The inan specified ratios will allow the cars to attain a speed of at least 60 mph, without forcing a second to third gear shift. Lightweight Flywheels and Clutch Assemblies Lighter weight flywheels and clutch components provide improved throttle response, faster engine revs and acceleration. Stage 2 Clutches also feature increased clamp loads for improved lock-up, better harnessing the extra power of supercharged engines. Carbon Fiber Engine Covers Beautifully crafted carbon fiber Ignition Module, Fuel Rail and Radiator/Alternator uct Covers give the engine compartment that performance look. Covers are currently available for 6 cylinder E39 5 series, E53 X5, E36 and E46 3 series models, as well as Z3 applications.
