2 DESIGN is a circular sound attenuator for connection to circular ducts. The sound attenuating material consists of glass wool, which gives very good sound attenuation especially in the middle frequencies. The sound attenuating material consists of 100 mm longfibred glass wool which is covered with a layer of EUROLON. This material can resist considerably higher air velocities and mechanical wear than the standard fibre commonly used by other manufacturers. The sound attenuating material is also covered with perforated steel sheet over the EUROLON. is manufactured as standard in galvanized steel sheet. The connection spigots are equipped with rubber seals. fulfils fire class E30. Dimensions from Ø100 to Ø630 mm are available in stock for rapid delivery. 3 DESIGN P is a circular sound attenuator, equipped with an aerodynamically shaped centre body. P are intended for connection to circular ducts. The sound attenuating material consists of glass wool, which gives very good sound attenuation especially in the middle frequencies. Airflow - pressure drop, P PRESSURE DROP - DIMENSIONING In order to achieve improved sound attenuation data for SER- ENO P, the attenuator is equipped with an aerodynamically shaped centre body. The pressure drops obtained with duct-duct installation of P are shown in Graph 1. We recommend using our sound calculation software ProAc, which in addition to sound attenuation also gives inherent sound generation and pressure drop for single products. ProAc is available from Swegon s website. INSTALLATION The spigots on this product are only intended for connection to ducts. The product is to be installed suspended with supports under its entire width. 4

Please contact your nearest Swegon office for further information PLANNING Data shown here are based on an even flow of air in and out of the sound attenuator. Dampers, duct bends or other equipment in the vicinity of the attenuator will increase its pressure drop and inherent sound and may also affect the attenuation.
