1 67 SAINT LUCIA STATUTORY INSTRUMENT, 2006, No. 20 [ 3rd April, 2006 ] In exercise of the powers conferred by section 193 (i) of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Act 2003, No. 10, the Minister responsible for Transport makes the following Regulations Citation 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic (Ticketable Offences) Regulations Form of ticket 2. The form of the ticket for a ticketable offence shall be in the form prescribed as Form 1 of the Schedule. Appendix to ticket book 3. Each ticket book for ticketable offences shall contain an appendix in the form prescribed as Form 2 of the Schedule. Revocation 4. (1) The Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic (Ticketable Offences) Regulations 2004, S.I. No. 91 is revoked. (2) Part VII of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Regulations 1995, No. 20 is revoked.

3 69 BACK OF THE TICKET PLEASE READ CAREFULLY 1. PAYMENT You may plead guilty by delivering the ticket, along with the total amount of the fixed penalty for the offence set out in the ticket, to the District Court Office specified below. If you wish to pay the penalty, bring or mail this ticket, together with payment in the amount of the penalty, to the court at the address indicated below prior to the Court date displayed on the back of this ticket. Payments by mail are to be by check or money order made payable to the Accountant General. Do not send cash, Please print the ticket number on the front of the check or money order. 2. PLEA OF NOT GUILTY If you wish to plead not guilty, you must notify the court at the address and telephone number as shown below WITHIN 14 DAYS after being served with this ticket. When responding to this ticket, you may indicate that the attendance of the traffic officer who completed the ticket is required for the purpose of cross-examination at trial.
