2 4 Bike Rack Carrier The 4 Bike Rack is to protect your bikes during transportation. This device is built for carrying up to 4 bikes at one time. This device also has a drop down feature so you can still access the back of a vehicle without having to unload the bikes. Fits 2 and 1-1/4 receivers

4 Mounting the 4 Bike Rack, Step 1: Slide the Receiver Bar (#7&9) into the vehicle s 2 receiver hitch and lock with the Hitch Bolt (#13). Step 2: Install the Upright Tube (#5) to the U fork of the Receiver Bar and secure with a 3/8 Bolt (#8), 3/8 Washer (#3), and 3/8 Locking nut (#2), through the bottom hole. Bind the one end of Nylon Cord (#21) to Receiver Bar(#7), tie the other end of Nylon cord(#21) to C-type hitch pin(#6), install the C-type hitch pin (#6) through the upper hole. Step 3: Assembly the left arm (#1) and the right arm (#4) onto the upper portion of the Upright Tube (#5). Secure this with two 3/8 bolts (#8), four washers (#3) and two nuts (#2), fix the end of steel cable(#19) by the same 3/8 bolts (#8). Pull the other end of the steel cable through the hole at right arm, secure this with Snap ring with pin (#20) or padlock (not provided) for added security. If you can plan to carry only one bike, it is recommended that you put it in the position closest to the vehicle. Step 4: Double-check all the nuts and bolts making sure they are all tight. Using the 4 Bike Rack This rack is designed to hold up to four bikes. Place the first one on the arm, open the Velcro straps and place the bicycle cross-bar onto the cradles (#15). Close the straps over the bike. Place the next bike facing in the opposite direction and secure with the Velcro straps as well. Continue the same operation until the last bike is secured. The Thermoplastic cradles(#15)keep the bikes in position, preventing them from sliding back and forth causing damage. The Velcro Straps keep the bikes from bumping out of the cradles. Insert the cable through the hole and secure it with the hitch pin or padlock (not provided). When loading the bikes the rail gate has to be accessed. Pull the C-Type Hitch Pin (#6) out and swing the rack downward, pivoting at the bolt directly below the C-Type Hitch Pin (#6). Important Warning: Read, Study, understand and follow all instructions and warnings before using the bike rack. Do NOT overload beyond the manufacturer s weight rating of 150 lbs.

5 The Bike rack is NOT intended for transporting humans or animals. It is recommended if you only plan to carry one bike, you put it in the position closest to the vehicle. Do NOT carry more than 4 bikes on the carrier. Make sure the bicycles are strapped down and secure before operating the vehicle. Do NOT carry flammable items on the bike rack. The bike rack is designed to carry non-motorized bikes only. For added security, use a locking chain. Make sure the front of the bike(s), when mounted, are at or above the bottom of the bumper to avoid damage to the bike(s). During long trips, check the straps and bike position, especially if traveling on rough terrain. Because of potential hazards associated with the misuse of the rack, NO alterations shall be made to the product. Failure to heed these warnings may result in personal injury and/or property damage.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THIS PRODUCT BE USED TO TRANSPORT PEOPLE OR LIVING ANIMALS. SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH MAY RESULT USER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFE LOADING AND UNLOADING OF THIS PRODUCT. BE SURE TO USE CAUTION WHEN STRAPPING DOWN LOADS OR LOOSE ARTICLES. FOR ADDED SAFETY, ADDITIONAL LIGHTING IS AVAILABLE AT MOST AUTOMOTIVE AND /OR RETAIL STORES.

7 Dee Zee, Inc guarantees the original purchaser a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects in materials, workmanship and design under normal use excluding damage resulting from road hazards such as gravel or other debris, product misuse, improper installation, impairments from accidents, product modifications, spills, vandalism, or product neglect. Wear items such as shocks, latches, keys, hinges, step pads, seals, etc have a one-year warranty. This warranty applies only to new products and is limited to the repair or replacement of genuine Dee Zee products. Warranty does not include electrical components, light bulb replacement, and cost of removal, installation, labor, transportation costs, and loss of use, inconvenience or consequential damages. Modifications of any kind to a Dee Zee product void all warranties. The original purchaser may be required (at Dee Zee s sole discretion) to return the defective merchandise, provide a photograph, or provide the original purchase receipt to the original place of purchase or Dee Zee, Inc. WARRANTY TERMS LIMITED-LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTS, INCLUDING: STAINLESS STEEL: SIDE STEPS, GRILLE GUARDS, BULL BARS, BED CAPS, STORAGE BOXES, AND SIDE MOLDINGS. OTHER PRODUCTS: BED MATS, AND RUBBER MUD FLAPS. THREE-YEAR WARRANTY ON OTHER PRODUCTS, INCLUDING: POWDER-COATED / E-COATED STEEL: SIDE STEPS, STORAGE BOXES, JOB SITE BOXES, AND TRANSFER TANKS. OTHER PRODUCTS INCLUDING: EZ DOWNS, FLOOR MATS, BULBS, RUNNING BOARDS, AND PRODUCTS NOT OTHERWISE LISTED SEPARATELY. FINISH PROTECTION Dee Zee products have a high quality finish that must be cared for like any other exposed finish on the vehicle. Protect the finish with a non-abrasive automotive wax, (e.g. Pure Carnauba) on a regular basis. The use of any soap, polish or wax that contains an abrasive is detrimental, as the compounds scratch the finish and open it to corrosion. The finish of all Dee Zee products is covered for 1 year from the date of purchase. Claims submitted after one year from the date of purchase are subject to review, and are covered at the sole discretion of Dee Zee, Inc.

Dee Zee products are sold as appearance accessories and should not be relied upon as protection for the vehicle or its occupants in the event of a collision or roll over. Vehicles equipped with a supplemental restraints system (air bags) deployed by impact should not be modified in any way.
