Older children: A good guide is the centre of the picture on the seat back for the correct position of the belt adjuster. Pull the shoulder harnesses F through the upper horizontal slots of the Infant Sling. Younger children: A good indication for the lower setting of the strap adjuster of the shoulder harness F is the bottom of the picture on the seat back. Pull the shoulder harnesses F from the back through the lower horizontal slots of the Infant Sling. F F F F 8. To make fitting the top hooks A of the Infant Sling easier, fold the trailer up. Place the hooks through the trailer over the back rest and hook them into the rear of the seat. CLICK

17 33 croozer hitches & Hitch (square) for Croozer Kid and Kid Plus. Hitch (round) for Croozer Dog and Cargo. Croozer hitches are easy to use and are attached on the left of the rear wheel axle (viewed in direction of travel) of the towing bicycle. The Croozer Hitch is versatile and easily attached to most bikes! The bicycle trailer is hitched by attaching the versatile matching part at the front end of the trailer hitcharm. A split pin inserted lengthways through the connection ensures it is sound. Further protection is provided by a safety strap that is wrapped around a stay or frame tube of the towing bicycle.

18 35 croozer hitches if they don t match the bicycle... & Hitch moves out of true under the quick-release axle retrofitting of an axle with Allen-type screw connection can help insert a thin, grooved washer underneath Bicycles with clevis axles There is an own Croozer clevis axle for the most important thread types (1,0 mm, 1,5 mm and 1,75 mm) providing an optimal connection to the Croozer universal hitch. WEBER hitch If it is impossible to fit a Croozer hitch to the rear axle: Convert to Weber using the Hitch Up : The conversion sets contains all the parts needed (except for the hitches listed below) to replace the Croozer hitch method with a WEBER hitch method. Possibilities: - fitting the WEBER E hitch (not supplied as standard) - fitting the WEBER B hitch which can be combined with a stand and is attached to the bike frame (dropout) Thread in the case of hub gear (SHIMANO Nexus / Alfine, SRAM I-Motion) too short The left-hand axle nut can be replaced by an adapter on which you fit the hitch (between the two washers, see illustration on the right). These adapters are also useful where components on the bike frame prevent normal attachment of the hitch, directly against the dropout. Stand on Dutch bicycles Because this is fitted on the rear wheel axle, the axle is too short: the adapter moves the hitch and therefore also the hitcharm 2 cm further out to the side* remove the stand and replace with a different one * can also sometimes help with a rear wheel stand

20 39 assembly ready for sale KID KID PLUS & Fitting the bumper Carefully open the box and remove the trailer. Release the transport safety lock on the storage area. 3 3 Remove the add-on parts that are inside. Check to make sure everything is there, and for defects. Open out the trailer (tip: check the body for defects) Install the bumper (tip: first fit the side reflectors (5) and then start assembly with the two front screws (2 + 3), and the two on the side (4)). 4 4 Attach the wheels. On the Croozer Kid, install the brake shoes (see picture), check the proper fit and function of the parking brake and adjust the brake unit if necessary. Fitting the brake shoes On the Croozer Kid Plus, check the screw connection on the suspension unit and tighten the screws if necessary. Install handlebar with wrist safety strap (tip: keep the transport plugs). Touch up any possible smaller blemishes due to transit in advance (e.g. matt silver heat-proof spray paint for the bumpers). Go through the check list with the customer before handover.

21 41 Jammed stroller wheel Dirt in the Stroller wheel socket can result in the Stroller wheel jamming. Remove Stroller wheel clean the socket with compressed air. Clean the Stroller wheel bolt with a cloth treat with spray-on wax. & directional trueness of jogger wheel In case the trailer pulls a little bit to one side: release the quick-release and re-adjust the Jogger wheel in the elongated hole of the dropout. Important: The quick-release must not be on the final setting, otherwise it might slip out while the trailer is in use. Caution: Do not use grease or oil! (These can contain additives that stick to plastics and allow dirt to accumulate.) Clean socket with compressed air U Another cause might be different tire pressures in the wheels. P Clean bolt If the trailer pulls strongly to one side, the following should be checked: with a cloth 1. Put the jogger arms next to each other and check - if they are the same length - if the offset is the same (different jogger arms for Single and Double) g Submit a complaint if there are differences! U P 2. Check the hitcharm attachment bracket position (place trailer upside down and check whether the U-profiles are parallel) g Submit a complaint if there are differences!

22 43 rust mould Accessory Storage Cover Possible causes humidity over a long period salt water and road salt salty air Preventive measures let the Croozer dry after use regularly treat metal parts with protective wax (including before first use) What do I do if rust spots still occur? rust spots can be removed using a bit of metal polish paste and an abrasive sponge then treat with protective wax Possible causes albuminous residues (food residues, spills, etc.) Croozer was covered up while wet/damp inadequate ventilation Preventive measures clean all parts regularly dry properly after use store the trailer in a dry, well-ventilated place alternative: Storage Cover - Caution: Storage Cover is not breathable, so do not cover the trailer if it is damp or wet! & anti-theft protection loop cable The following methods have proved reliable thread bicycle lock through spokes and frame structure and connect it to a lantern or the like use a loop cable unhitch the trailer, then lock the bike and trailer together Insurance Some household insurance also covers bicycle trailers provided these are kept in a locked room or similar area. However, as a precaution we would still recommend checking with the insurance company or taking out additional coverage. Such additional coverage should also be valid for locked bicycle trailers outside of rooms and similar areas. Always thread the loop cable through the frame, too! What do I do if mould has already taken hold? slight mould stains or partial spots of mould can be removed using an alcohol-based solution where there are large areas of severe mould infestation the relevant components (accessories, body etc.) will have to be fully replaced for the sake of the health of the child
