Transporter Lashing All Jaguar and Land Rover product can be lashed using over wheel lashing Chocking Minimum requirement of two chocks and one lashing strap per wheel at least two wheels per vehicle Vehicle Lashing Four lashings/fixings per vehicle are a minimum requirement JLR Design Strategy is that all future Land Rover product will be engineered without under-body tie down points/t-slots Reference Vehicle Handling Guides Appendices 6-7 for individual lashing instruction Page 2 of 14

3 3.1.1 Jaguar Product Transporter Lashing XJ (X351) Over wheel lashing and chocks is the ONLY method for the XJ N.B. This product has air suspension XK (X150) Over wheel lashing and chocks is the ONLY method for the XK This product has coil suspension for both Front & Rear Page 3 of 14

5 3.1.2 Land Rover Product Transporter Lashing Defender (L316) Over wheel lashing/chocks method and under body tie-down method can be used on the Defender N.B. This product has coil suspension front and rear Freelander (LR2/L359) Over wheel lashing/chocks method and under body tie-down method can be used on the Freelander 2 N.B. 7 New Range Rover (PLA 405) Over-wheel lashing only, and chocks are used to secure vehicle in position. This Product has air suspension Front & Rear Range Rover Sport (RRS) (L494) This Product has air suspension Front & Rear Over wheel lashing\chocks method is to be used on the RRS N.B. 8 Range Rover Evoque (L538) Over-wheel lashing only and chocks are used to secure vehicle in position. N.B. This product has coil suspension front and rear 3.2 Ocean (Vessel) Lashing See TQM Chapter 5 Ocean Shipment Lash as follows: If stowed stem to stern, each vehicle should have 2 lashings at the front and 2 lashings at the rear If stowed transversely on a ramp, each vehicle should have 3 lashings at the front and 3 lashings at the rear plus 2 wheel chocks at the front and 2 wheel chocks at the rear N.B. Care must be taken when lashing to towing eye. Lashing through alloy wheels is not allowed Jaguar Product Vessel Lashing XJ (X351) If Jaguars are stowed stem to stern, each vehicle should have 2 lashings at the front and two at the back. 12 Transport Quality Manual Range Rover Evoque (L538) New Range Rover (PLA 405) 3.3 Container Lashing Jaguar Product Lashing Jaguars must be lashed using the front and rear towing eyes. The Jaguar XKRS2 can only be reversed loaded into the container due to clearance on the front end of the vehicle. All Other models can be loaded forward facing. 14 Once Vehicle is in position prior to the driver getting out of the vehicle the marshal needs to ensure adequate clearance angles are checked so that lashing in straps will clear the bumper when attached to tow eye and pulled back to container tie in location. This needs to be done prior to lashing vehicle down fully Front: Lashing strap needs to be clear not making contact with bumper Rear: When securing the rear of the vehicle the R/H lashing strap must attached first. The L/H strap must be looped over both the R/H strap and towing eye and as shown in photo Page 14 of 14
