It is the highest SPF factor in the sun screen industry and means: optimum protection against ultraviolet radiation. Before the sunshade is used for the first time, it first has to be exposed to rain so that the cotton-sheathed polyester thread can swell and the seams can close completely. Our frames are made of high-quality, extruded aluminium profiles. The frame and spoke surfaces are anodized, extremely shock and impact resistant and available in the colour EV1 natural (silver grey). Broken parts can easily be replaced with spare parts, since neither tools nor an extra technician are required. Please always fasten the supplied strap around the sunshade when not in use, so that the sunshade cannot be attacked by the wind. For further information on the fabric properties, please see page 23. Dimensions The sunshade dimensions and weights indicated are approximate measurements given for orientation purposes only. They are therefore not legally binding. Maintenance tips 1. Wet or damp sunshades that have been closed should be opened again for drying as soon as possible to avoid mould stains. 2. Leaves and insect excrements should be brushed off as soon as possible with a soft, dry brush. 3. Please make sure that the closed sunshade is secured with the fastening strap so it won t flap in the wind. Depending on the size of the sunshade, 2 straps are recommended. The straps should be attached around the middle and the lower part of the sunshade to hold down the spokes. 4. To store the sunshade for the winter, we recommend our winter covers. To avoid mould spots, please make absolutely sure that the sunshade is dry before putting it in its cover. 5. When opening, closing or adjusting the sunshade, please make sure that the fabric doesn t get caught in parts of the mechanism. 6. The sunshade s wind resistance limit is force 4-6. These are model-based values for information of the user only. Any guarantee on the part of the manufacturer or his sales partner, no matter for which sunshade model (open or closed), is expressly excluded. ParaFix ParaLux

On request, we also take care of the winter maintenance of the sunshades after the season. This means: pickup of the sunshades in the fall, cleaning, maintenance, upright storage of the sunshades until spring. In the spring the sunshades are then delivered again within the scope of our tour schedule. The distance between bench and wall is 10cm, allowing the lower part of the wall to be easily cleaned. To be able to use it as a seating option, a Bankhirai cover or similar cover must be placed on top, on which you then can put any kind of cover. Fitting The windscreen system, made of aluminium (anodized E6/EV1 natural) and singlepane safety glass, offers a clear view of the surroundings while at the same time providing wind and noise protection. The glass area consists of 5mm ESG safety glass. Even the strongest winds and coolest temperatures have no chance here. The hinged posts have been designed so that they can be positioned at any angle without additional accessories. On request, we will deliver connecting profiles, bases, Multi-benches or sleeves to be encased in concrete for secure and easy installation. 20 Accessories LED-Lighting - For our models: ParaLux, ParaFix, ParaQueen, PyraSol, PyraMax Create an ambience! Our LED lights turn your sunshade into an oversized lampshade. The LED diodes generate a warm yellow light and therefore a pleasant atmosphere of well-being. Bugs do not mistake the yellow light as a food source and are therefore not attracted to it. The lights are either powered by a rechargeable battery or connected to a power outlet. The LED lighting is impressive by virtue of its very long service life and very low energy consumption. Infrared Space Heater - For all sunshade models This space heater, which gives off a comforting warmth, is available in two power ratings (1.4KW or 2.0 KW). This light warms up the person directly, and not the air. Depending on the price of electricity, the operating costs at a power output of 1.5 kilowatts are only 25 to 30 cents per hour. The heater can also be simply connected to a 230-Volt outlet. Light - For our model: ParaKing More atmosphere in the late evening! This dimmable light generates a pleasant and warm ambience under the sunshade. The evenings therefore become longer while the sunshades are visible from afar and attract additional guests. The four lights are firmly integrated into the sunshade, so there is no need for installation or removal when opening or closing the sunshade. Speakers - For our model: ParaKing Evocative sounds for any occasion. It s your choice: Standard or Premium option. Two speakers each are firmly mounted in the sunshade and also remain there when it is closed. They are available in both white and black. You take care of the hook-up and we do the rest. Rain Gutters - For our models: ParaFix, PyraSol, PyraMax, ParaQueen, ParaKing Conversion made easy! With three to four clicks per sunshade you can turn sunshades into umbrellas. This allows your guests to enjoy the outdoors and your service even in bad weather. The rain gutters are made of the same material as the sunshades and therefore have the same colour. Connecting two or more sunshades with each other allows you to completely fill your patio with furniture and guests. Winter Cover - For all sunshade models For safe storage of your sunshade over the winter in your own house, we recommend using our winter covers. This protective cover provides optimal protection and allows you to keep your sunshade outdoors, even in winter. These winter covers are made of the same fabric as our sunshades and are therefore available in the same colours. To avoid mould spots and the like, please make absolutely sure that the sunshade is dry before putting it in its cover. Fastening Strap for Sunshades - For all sunshade models To protect your sunshade from gusts of wind, you should fasten the enclosed strap around the sunshade after closing it. Depending on local circumstances and weather conditions, it may get very windy overnight. The ParaKing model is fastened with two straps so the fabric has no chance to flap in the wind. Page 19

21 Sunny Lamp - For our: Vario Windbreak Wall The 230V "Sunny" lamp model (40W) easily fits into any environment and creates that special ambience in any weather. Whether you want to stylishly illuminate your garden path or entrance area, the Sunny exterior lamp is the right choice for you. High-quality stainless steel, outstanding craftsmanship and the individual exterior lamp result in a perfect combination of functionality and looks. Vario Infrared Space Heater - For our: Vario Windbreak Wall This space heater, which gives off a comforting warmth, is available in two power ratings (1.4KW or 2.0 KW). These infrared space heaters can be mounted on top of the Vario windbreak wall by means of an attachment, so that your patio is comfortably warm in any weather. The space heaters work like the sun. They don t heat up the air, but directly and almost instantly warm the human body with the infrared light they give off. Depending on the price of electricity, the operating costs at a power output of 2 kilowatts are only 40 cents per hour. The heaters are simply connected to a 230-Volt power outlet. LCD Screen Attachment for Windbreak Wall - For our: Vario windbreak wall This LCD -Attachment is the ideal supplement for our windbreak walls. This attachment also allows you to attract guests to your patio when interesting TV shows and/or sports programmes are shown on TV. It is simply slid into the existing top profile, that s all it takes to be sufficiently sturdy. Now the screen can be hooked in and already your guests can watch TV outdoors. 1:0 for you! Electrical Service Shaft - For our model: ParaKing This service shaft serves to house the electrical installations (for IR space heaters) and comes with the winter cover plate, upper part of the base to be encased in concrete and hinged joint. The shaft as well as the winter cover plate are made of heat-treated galvanized steel and are therefore rustproof. They are the ideal solution for keeping power cables in the earth over the winter and out of sight. The bottom cover plate serves as feeder plate for the empty pipes through which the cables are laid. The service shaft has the following dimensions: 220 x 220 x 500mm. Concrete Base - For all sunshade models For permanent installation, each sunshade can also be delivered with a base (2-part) that can be encased in concrete. The foundation measurements depend on the type of sunshade. The advantage: it saves space and you can remove the upper part by undoing only four screws. Then everything is open and there are no tripping hazards. Panel Base - For all models except ParaKing The sunshades can be put up anywhere due to the mobile bevelled metal base. Concrete panels in the recesses of the base ensure sturdy support. The metal base is bevelled to avoid hazardous edges for staff and customers. The panel base has the following dimensions: 970 x 970 x 50mm. The two- and three-layer panel bases are not bevelled. Page 20

22 Remote Control for Light & Heat HEAT AND LIGHT REMOTE CONTROLLED This radio control system allows you to remotely control accessories like infrared space heaters and lighting. The receivers are mounted on the mast, while the remote control unit can be conveniently carried in your pocket or on your key ring. With a range of up to 300m, you can easily control the heat and lighting with a push of a button. You can also operate the space heaters manually by holding down the horizontal button on the receiver for app. 2 seconds. The 4-channel remote control allows you to freely assign functions to each button; e.g.: Button 1: two opposing space heaters are turned on/off Button 2: the other two space heaters are turned on/off Button 3: all space heaters are turned on/off Button 4: the lights are turned on/off It s your choice! 24 Fabric Colours for all Sunshades 100% POLYESTER The fabric of the sunshades consists of tough, durable polyester. The stain-resistant and waterproof fabric is available in nine different colours plus white. The special properties of the membrane allows the sunshades to be used both as protection against the sun and against the rain. The fastening strap and the fabric are of the same colour, creating a harmonious overall appearance. The fabric has a sun protection factor of UPF 50+ according to the EN standard and complies with the Australian standard (UV protection 80). On request, we imprint your sunshade by sublimation printing. The printed image is brilliant in colour, wash and scratchproof and absolutely UV-resistant. 25 Properties of Sunshade Fabrics/Membranes Sunshade fabrics are high-tech products. Still, their perfection is limited, even considering today s state-of-the-art technology, and by environmental requirements. Certain faults may appear in the fabric despite perfected production and processing techniques. However, these faults do not reduce the value and usability of your sunshade. To avoid irritations, we would like to point out the following properties to you within the scope of our consumer education: - Chalking consists of light stripes that occur during processing and which, despite the utmost care, cannot always be avoided. It is therefore no ground for a warranty claim. - Fold marks appear during preparation for shipping and folding of the membrane. A dark line may be visible at the location of the fold when back-lighted. - If well maintained, the sunshade fabric is waterproof during light rain. The sunshade should remain closed during heavy rainfall to avoid damage. Once the sunshade has become wet, it should be opened again as soon as possible to dry out. - Over time, the fabric may show abrasion wear which will weaken it and reduce its quality. To counter this effect, pull out the fabric between the spokes when closing the sunshade and secure it with a strap against flapping. We d be happy to send you the relevant instructions. Replacement Covers Depending on the extent of weather exposure, even the most beautiful cover will one day fade. But there is no need to buy a new sunshade due to the extreme durability of our sunshade frames we offer replacement covers for all frames at any time. Slight deviations in the colour of new covers are batch-related and can sometimes not be avoided. However, they do not constitute grounds for a warranty claim.
