1 CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS BY-LAW being a by-law to amend By-law Consolidated Fees By-law WHEREAS Section 5 (3) of the Ontario Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, Chapter 25, as amended, authorizes a municipality to pass by-laws imposing fees or charges for 1 services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of the municipality; 1 AND WHEREAS Resolution THC was adopted on December 16, whereby Council agreed to pass the 2015 Consolidated Fees By-law; 1 1 AND WHEREAS By-law , being a consolidated fees by-law, received final approval on December 16, 2014 adopting fees for the year 2015; AND WHEREAS Council wish to add fees for the Hastings Field House. NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1 1 1; 1. That By-law be amended to include `Schedule L' being the Hastings Field House 2015 fees, attached hereto and forming part of this by-law. 2. This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the date of final '1 passing of this by-law. By-law introduced and deemed to be read a first, second and third time, passed and properly signed and sealed this 20th day of January, 2014.
2 CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS BY-LAW being a 2015 Consolidated Fees By-law for the Corporation of the Municipality of Trent Hills WHEREAS Section 5 (3), of the Ontario Municipal Act, 20, S.O. 2001, C. 25, as amended, provides a municipal power, including a municipality's capacity, rights, powers and privileges under Section 8, shall be exercised by by-law unless the municipality is specifically authorized to do otherwise; AND WHEREAS Section 391, of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, Chapter 25, as amended, authorizes a municipality to pass by-laws imposing fees or charges on any class of persons, (a) for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of it; (b) for costs payable by it for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of any other municipality or local board; (c) for the use of its property including property under its control; AND WHEREAS The Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, Chapter 25, Section 396, as amended, authorizes municipal councils to provide for interest charges and other penalties, including payment of collection costs, for fees and charges that are due and unpaid. NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the rates and fees for services for the Corporation of the Municipality of Trent Hills are outlined in Schedules "A" to "M" attached hereto and forming part of this by-law. 2. That there shall be imposed on all fees and charges remaining unpaid on the dates specified for those fees and charges, an interest charge of one and one quarter per cent (1 Yi%) per calendar month thereafter in which such default continues. I 3. That by-law is rescinded in its entirety upon the final passing of this by-law. i I 4. HST will be applied on applicable schedules where indicated. 1 I 5.
