Calculation of the power (P) of the braking resistor For continuous braking: P = 700 2/ R R resistance The power rating of the braking resistor is selected according to the load working condition. If the continuous braking time exceeds 60s, the rated power of the braking resistor approximates to the rated power of the motor. If the continuous braking times is less than 10s, the rated power of the braking resistor can be selected according to the following equation: P = a rated power of load motor required braking torque (%) ED%; a is the derating factor of the braking resistor, which is related to the pulse power withstanding capacity, continuous operating time of the braking resistor, and the heat dissipation conditions on site. 1 3 is generally adopted. 3. It is used for closed loop vector or open loop V/F speed control. For details, please refer to User Manual for EV60-PGABS PG Feedback Card. 制动单元 Braking unit 制动电阻 Braking resistor TA-TB and TA-TC are the failure relay contacts. TH1 and TH2 are the temperature relay contacts. Functions of braking unit Braking unit threshold voltage adjustment; Over load brake time protection of braking resistor; Heatsink overheat protection; Alarm indication; Failure display and failure relay output indication; Braking resistor overheat auto disconnection and relay alarm output indication. Profibus-DP Card Model: EVS PRBB01 The EV5000 series drive can be connected to the ProfiBus-DP field bus network through the PROFIBUS card. In the ProfiBus- DP field bus network, the drive works as a slave drive. Functions: 1) sending control command to inverter (e.g., start, stop, jog, etc.) 2) sending speed (frequency) reference or torque command to inverter; 3) reading operating status information and actual value from the inverter; 4) reset inverter after a trip; The wiring between the braking unit and drive, and between the braking unit and braking resistor shall be within 5m. If it is longer than 5 m, twisted pair wire shall be used. The maximum wire length is 10 m. 13
