5 DAF XF TRANSPORT EFFICIENCY The XF is the benchmark truck for long-distance transport. Multi-torque PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines with new power ratings deliver higher torque at lower rpm. Combined with high-performance gearboxes, optimised drivelines, high-efficiency rear axles and aerodynamic improvements, this gives you increased fuel efficiency of up to 7% for long-haul journeys. Higher productivity The XF is lighter and more reliable than ever. An ultracompact Emission Aftertreatment System (EAS), redesigned engines and chassis optimisations deliver up to 100 kg in weight savings depending on axle configuration. This allows higher payloads, which are especially important in applications where every kilogramme counts. In addition, the new electrical and electronic architecture improves the XF s best-in-class reliability. 9 DAF XF INTERIOR Driver configurable switches Thanks to smart electronics, switches can be positioned according to individual applications and preferences. This adds to great driver comfort as well as maximum vehicle efficiency. High-end trim The dashboard comes in Dark Sand trim with Piano Black deco panels as standard. The deco panels also come in the colours Rustica (dark wood) and Argenta (silver). It all adds up to a stylish, modern look. Best-in-class interior lighting The interior lighting features ergonomic switches that are within easy reach throughout the cab. The driver can select different lighting modes for various driving and resting conditions, and there s also a dimming function. 15 DAF CF DRIVER COMFORT Perfect match Always the optimal truck for your job Whether you need a 2-, 3- or 4-axle truck, single or double driven, there is always a CF that perfectly matches your needs! Improved Silent version The CF with PACCAR MX-11 engine is now available in an improved Silent version that reduces noise levels to 71 db(a). The XF and LF are also available in Silent version. New double mounted trailing axle A new double mounted trailing axle increases fuel efficiency and reduces vehicle weight by 25 kg. It also increases static carrying capacity from 29 tonnes to 34 tonnes. New electro-hydraulic-steered trailing axle The new trailing axle for both tractors and rigids incorporates a highly precise Electric Hydraulic Steering system that continuously calculates the optimal steering angle for the rear axle wheels. Lightweight FAD mixer chassis The lightweight, high-performance CF FAD 8x4 mixer chassis with a 19-tonne single reduction (SR1132T) tandem and two 7.1-tonne front axles is available throughout Europe. It comes with the new PACCAR MX-11 engine, with power ratings from 270 to 330 kw (370 to 450 hp).

Designed for city distribution With a large range of wheel bases, designed PACCAR PX engines and high-efficiency gearboxes, the LF is available in more variants than ever before. In particular, the new LF150 and LF170, with a PACCAR PX-4 engine and a five-speed manual gearbox, are designed for city distribution. ROOF AIR DEFLECTOR AND COLLARS The roof air deflector and collars improve aerodynamics and reduce fuel consumption by up to 4%. VISION DOOR The vision door is an important new feature of the LF, especially in city distribution transport. It improves safety by giving drivers a better view of pedestrians and cyclists on the near side next to the cabin. The co-driver side window is controlled electronically from the drivers side and slides to open.

24 24 High-performance engines World-class transport efficiency starts with the engine. The XF, CF and LF are powered by the latest PACCAR engines. Each one is designed to deliver market-leading fuel efficiency, excellent performance, highest reliability, low emissions and superb driver comfort. Higher torque at lower rpm The XF and CF are powered by multi-torque PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines with new power ratings. Many innovations result in even more torque at lower rpm for highest fuel efficiency. Vehicles can now cruise at some 900 rpm, which also results in the kind of low noise levels found in luxury cars. Additional torque is available in top gear for great driveability and the new MX engine brake delivers worldclass braking power at lower revs. The XF and CF also include an extended set of Eco Mode options and service intervals have been extended to up to 200,000 km! All this results in better fuel economy, reduced emissions and lower operating costs. High-efficiency gearboxes and rear axles The latest generation of TraXon automated gearboxes (12 and 16 speed) are standard on the XF and CF. Reduced friction losses, even faster upshifts and the extended use of EcoRoll contribute to lowest fuel consumption, while driver comfort is enhanced thanks to its quiet and smooth operation and precise clutch actuation. The LF is supplied with a wide selection of manual, automated and automatic gearboxes in 5, 6, 9 and 12 speeds. The XF and CF also feature a new family of highly efficient rear axles with low-friction wheel ends. A range of faster ratios starting from 2.05:1 enable lower engine speeds for highest fuel efficiency. MX-13 MX-11

25 DAF XF, CF & LF DRIVELINE PX-7 PX-5 Powerful engines for distribution A wide range of engines are available for the LF. These include the powerful four-cylinder 4.5-litre PACCAR PX-5 and the six-cylinder 6.7-litre PACCAR PX-7*. Thanks to new software and optimised heat and air management, maximum torque has been increased and kicks in at lower speed in both engines. New, faster rear axle ratios result in lower engine speeds. Together with engine innovations, this results in fuel savings of up to 6%. A compact four-cylinder 3.8-litre PACCAR PX-4 engine is also available. Added driver comfort All PACCAR engines naturally comply with the latest emission requirements and their compact design means the engines are remarkably quiet - adding to driver comfort. The special Silent version is unique in the market, opening up further distribution options in urban environments. * Also available for the CF.

30 Excellent safety and comfort The DAF range includes standard and optional features that not only ensure the highest possible safety of the driver and other road users, but also contribute to vehicle versatility, fuel efficiency and comfort, no matter what business segment you are in. Please note that not all features are available for the LF. 1. Predictive Cruise Control Predictive Cruise Control (PCC) uses GPS technology to determine the exact location of the truck and the expected driving conditions up to the next 2 kilometres. It uses this information to determine the ideal speed within a specified range. Together with Predictive Shifting, PCC can reduce fuel consumption and CO 2 emissions by 3%. 2. Adaptive Cruise Control Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) automatically adjusts the truck s speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. 3. Forward Collision Warning Forward Collision Warning (FCW) generates a warning sound and a visual alert on the instrument panel, urging the driver to take action in order to prevent a collision. 4. Advanced Emergency Braking System The Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS) intervenes to slow the truck down in an emergency. 5. Lane Departure Warning System The Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) warns the driver if the vehicle begins to move out of the lane owing to driver error, drowsiness or distraction. 6. Vehicle Stability Control The electronic braking system features improved Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) to prevent jack-knifing and overturning. 7. Silent version Both the XF/CF with MX-11 engine and the LF with PX-5 engine are available in a Silent version that keeps noise levels below 71 db(a). Ideal for distribution in areas where evening, night-time or early morning noise restrictions apply. 8. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System ensures continuous monitoring of the pressure and temperature of all tyres. The system generates warnings when the pressure of a single tyre is low, or the temperature is high, enabling the driver to take swift action. This improves your total cost of ownership due to lower fuel consumption and reduced tyre wear. 9. Battery Energy Monitoring Optional Battery Energy Monitoring allows the driver to check the status of the batteries and provides warnings when energy levels are critical. It also prevents overcharging of the batteries. The result is lower downtime and longer battery life. 10. Protective cab suspension and construction The energy-absorbing cab suspension and reinforced cab structure has pre-programmed front and rear crumple zones to provide industry-leading vehicle safety and passenger protection.
