No need for lift shaft, safety pit or machine room. Conventional lifts, which are more complicated, fall under the jurisdiction of the Lift Directive. Our platform lifts fall instead under the Machinery Directive, 2006/42/ EC, and are approved according to European standard EN Many of the requirements placed in the Lift Directive do not apply to Aritco s lifts. We use a more flexible solution which does not need a machine room or a safety pit and where most of the machinery is built into the lift s platform. This makes installations much simpler and faster. The lifts consist of a self-supporting shaft and can be installed generally anywhere, with minimum interference in existing facilities. In addition to the Machinery Directive and the European legislative requirements, we also meet accessibility requirements and many local construction standards. Lower cost than a conventional lift.
