1 il free vane and compressors Dry vacuum pumps may run continuously only with clean, dry air. Unlike other kinds of pumps, these may run at any pressure. Maintenance is extremely simple, and consists merely of replacing the vanes and cleaning the filters. The main areas of use include: suction cups conveyors, automatic machines, woodworking machines. Dry rotary vane compressors have no particular restrictions on their use, except the maximum operating pressure which may not exceed the rated value, this is why we always recommend using a safety valve. These pumps may run continuously within certain pressure ranges, or connected to containers to be emptied, whose volume is sized appropriately for the pump flow rate. Long- term use at atmospheric pressure is not recommended. When the amount of vapour intake is considerable, we recommend using the W versions. The main areas of use include : vacuum packaging, thermoforming machines, glass-or marble-working machines, medical equipment, food-grade pastas or clay extruders. The exhaust from these pumps is not filtered, and thus special purifiers are available for fumes if necessary. For easier cleaning of the filter cartridge, it is preferable to install the filter horizontally. 5 ESSIES il bath filters This series of bath filters was developed to allow vacuum pumps to operate even in very dusty environments. Filtrations is provided by a special metal mesh cartridge inserted at the bottom of the filter, which also contains the oil that serves to trap the smallest dust particles. In order for the filter to function 0 properly, it must be installed upright (max. inclination 20 ) and the oil be kept at the level marked inside the filter. For very heavy-duty applications, we recommend to check the status of the oil and filter cartridge every day, and wash the parts with diesel fuel if necessary. BV 2 or an equivalent type of oil must be used in the filter. ode B D E F FB. FB. Their special construction makes it easy to maintain and replace the filter cartridge.
